Resistance, magnetoresistance and Hall effect measurements have revealed a variety of eletronic changes induced in single crystals of TaSe2 when alloyed with iron in concentrations from 0–10 at.%. Both substitutional and excess iron alloys have been studied and in each case different phases of TaSe2 are produced below the growth temperature depending on the iron concentration. Resistance minima, anomalous Hall effects, negative magnetoresistance, and superconductivity can all be observed in this system. 相似文献

An experiment has been conducted to determine the subjective equivalence of 1000 Hz pure tone noise and 10 Hz sinusoidal whole-body vertical vibration. Each of 20 male subjects was exposed to all 64 possible combinations of 8 levels of noise (65 dB to 100 dB SPL) and 8 levels of vibration (0·20 m/s2 r.m.s. to 1·2 m/s2 r.m.s.). The noise was presented via circumaural headphones and the vibration exposure was by means of a flat hard seat. The method of constant stimuli was used. Both stimuli were presented simultaneously for a period of ten seconds and subjects were asked to indicate whether, if they were to be presented with the combination again, they would prefer that the noise or the vibration should be reduced.It was concluded that the subjects were relatively self-consistent and that the major source of variability was due to intersubject differences. The conditions for equivalence for 50% of the subjects ranged from about 0·2 m/s2 r.m.s. at 69 dB to 1·2 m/s2 r.m.s. at 94 dB. The results are presented in a form that enables an estimate to be made of the percentage of subjects who prefer reduced noise or vibration at any of the given combinations of the two stimuli. Further studies to extend the range and establish the general applicability of these results are suggested. The reaction of DL-Proline on O2-annealed (stoichiometric) and O-defected (sub-stoichiometric) TiO2 (001) single-crystal surfaces has been investigated. This is of significance in trying to understand the concept of how biomolecules interact with the surfaces of biomedical implants (molecular recognition). On an O2-annealed TiO2 surface, proline is found to largely adsorb then desorb intact at approximately 350 K. DFT (B3LYP) calculations of proline bound to a Ti(OH)4 cluster suggest a binding through the carboxylate functional group rather than through the NH group of the ring. In contrast, proline reaction was considerably different on the O-defected surface. First, proline was further stabilized, evidenced by a shift of its desorption temperature (during temperature-programmed desorption) to approximately 530 K. Along with proline desorption, two distinctive sets of reaction processes occurred at 530 and 630 K, respectively. The first pathway (alpha) at 530 K shows desorption of large amounts of m/e 55 (attributed to 1-azetine) and m/e 42 (attributed to ketene). At still higher temperature, 630 K, a pathway (beta) dominated by the appearance of low masses, mainly m/e 28, 27, and 26, is seen. These masses are tentatively attributed to desorption of HCN, ethylene, and/or acetylene as they represent the logical further decomposition of the different fragments of proline. 相似文献

We propose a technique for constructing two infinite families of non‐embeddable quasi‐residual designs as soon as one such design satisfying certain conditions exists. The main tools are generalized Hadamard matrices and balanced generalized weighing matrices. Starting with a specific non‐embeddable quasi‐residual 2‐(27,9,4) design, we construct for every positive integer m a non‐embeddable 2‐(3m,3m?1,(3m?1?1)/2)‐design, and, if rm=(3m?1)/2 is a prime power, we construct for every positive integer n a non‐embeddable design. Antiferroelectric behavior is observed in artificially layered KTaO (3)/KNbO (3) perovskite superlattices. While KTaO (3) and KNbO (3) are ferroelectric and paraelectric, respectively, the superlattice appears antiferroelectric based on an increase in the dielectric constant with applied dc bias. This dielectric behavior is inconsistent with the nonlinear response for either paraelectric or ferroelectric materials. However, an increase in the dielectric constant with applied electric field is consistent with antiferroelectric behavior.
