Intracavity Electronic Absorption Spectra of MoO and WO Molecules in the Visible Region

Absorption electronic spectra of MoO and WO molecules have been investigated by a intracavity laser technique in the region 550–800 run. New features have been discovered.

As for MoO molecule the rotational analysis of the four bands have been carried out for the first time. Two of these bands were referred to 0–0 transitions arisen from the new (probable triplet) low-lying electronic state, two other bands were referred to transitions arisen from excited components of X⁵II ground state.

As for WO molecule the rotational analysis of 0–0 and 1–0 bands represented A-X and B-X systems have been carried out for the first time. The new band has been discovered which has been referred to new electronic transition.

Molecular constants of new states of both molecules studied have been evaluated.

The structure of polynuclear clusters based on zinc and copper compounds with thiosemicarbazidodiacetic acid

Polynuclear complexes were synthesized from Zn(II) and Cu(II) compounds and thiosemicarbazidodiacetic acid and their structures were studied. The formation of four-, five-, and nonanuclear clusters was shown to depend on the metal nature and the synthesis conditions.     

Energy distribution of ions in plasma formed by laser ablation of metallic Nb and Ta targets

The laser plasma plume expansion induced by UV nanosecond irradiation from metallic Nb and Ta targets has been studied using Langmuir probe time-of-flight measurements. The ion current shape was measured as a function of the laser radiation flux at various probe-to-target distances. The ion velocity distribution and the ion energy spectra have been determined by measuring the time of flight of ions reaching the Langmuir probe. A multi-mode velocity distribution of ions has been revealed. The dependence of the amplitudes of the plume energy components on the plume scatter time and on the laser radiation flux has been investigated. The experimental time-of-flight data have been compared with a Maxwell velocity distribution. The threshold values of the laser intensity were determined for different distribution modes in the ion energy spectrum.     

Dynamic analysis of the earth pole oscillation process

In the framework of classical mechanics, we perform an amplitude-frequency analysis of a small-parameter model of the Earth pole diurnal oscillations under the action of luni-solar gravitational-tidal torques. The Euler–Liouville dynamic equations with irregular perturbations taken into account are used to obtain the structural properties of diurnal oscillations of the Earth pole coordinates. The results of the Earth pole motion simulation are compared with the high-precision data of VLBI observations on a short time interval.     

Anionic polymerization of ɛ-caprolactam in the presence of piperidine N-carboxamides

Piperidine N-carboxamides were shown to activate the anionic polymerization of ?-caprolactam. The activator structure affects properties of the resulting polycaproamide.     

Viscosity of Polymer–Bitumen Binders

Polymer–bitumen binders for the highway engineering were obtained by the addition of a ternary ethylene–propylene rubber to a bitumen. The addition of a vulcanizing agent to a polymer–bitumen composition caused the structuring of the system through cross-linking of rubber molecules in the bitumen matrix that was confirmed by the study of structural viscosity of the polymer–bitumen compositions, as well as molecular mobility by the methods of NMR-relaxation and pulsed field gradient NMR-relaxation (self-diffusion).
