The introduction of a 1,3-propanediamine unit at the 3-position of (S)-BINOL using a methylene spacer led to the formation of a chiral bifunctional organocatalyst for the aza-Morita–Baylis–Hillman (aza-MBH) reaction. Collision cross sections (CCS) have been measured for three salen ligands, and their complexes with copper and zinc using travelling-wave ion mobility-mass spectrometry (TWIMS) and drift tube ion mobility-mass spectrometry (DTIMS), allowing a comparative size evaluation of the ligands and complexes. CCS measurements using TWIMS were determined using peptide and TAAH calibration standards. TWIMS measurements gave significantly larger CCS than DTIMS in helium, by 9 % for TAAH standards and 3 % for peptide standards, indicating that the choice of calibration standards is important in ensuring the accuracy of TWIMS-derived CCS measurements. Repeatability data for TWIMS was obtained for inter- and intra-day studies with mean RSDs of 1.1 % and 0.7 %, respectively. The CCS data obtained from IM-MS measurements are compared to CCS values obtained via the projection approximation, the exact hard spheres method and the trajectory method from X-ray coordinates and modelled structures using density functional theory (DFT) based methods.  相似文献

Polymeric membranes are important tools for intensifying separation processes in chemical industries, concerning strategic tasks such as CO2 sequestration, H2 production, and water supply and disposal. Mixed‐matrix and supported membranes have been widely developed; recently many of them have been based on metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). However, most of the impacts MOFs have within the polymer matrix have yet to be determined. The effects related to thermal behavior arising from the combination of MOF ZIF‐8 and polysulfone have now been quantified. The catalyzed oxidation of the polymer is strongly affected by the MOF crystal size and distribution inside the membrane. A 16 wt % 140 nm‐sized ZIF‐8 loading causes a 40 % decrease in the observed activation energy of the polysulfone oxidation that takes place at a temperature (545 °C) 80 °C lower than in the raw polymer (625 °C).  相似文献

Nanoparticulate TiO2/Rh3+ sols have been synthesized by the colloidal sol?Cgel route. The combination of the data measured with optical techniques such as laser diffraction, dynamic light scattering and multiple light scattering with a near-infrared light allows us to follow up the evolution of the peptization process and to establish the effect of the presence of Rh3+ on it. It is observed that the presence of rhodium ions retards the peptization step (t2) and decreases both the average particle size of the nanoparticles and the viscosity of the nanoparticulate sols. In addition, when Rh3+ is present the isoelectric point shifts up to higher pH, which suggests that chemical adsorption of the rhodium (III) cations onto the surface of the TiO2 nanoparticles is produced. The xerogels and cryogels obtained from the sols are constituted by anatase as major phase and traces of brookite. The phase transition is observed at lower temperatures for the xerogels containing rhodium (III) and at higher temperatures in the case of the cryogels. Finally, photocatalytic activity is higher in the case of the TiO2/Rh3+ sols due to the rhodium (III) effect on the electronic transitions from the valence band to the conduction band.  相似文献
