The solubility of thallium(I) chloride has been determined in aqueous solutions of strontium chloride and barium chloride at concentrations up to 1.5 mol kg–1. The data were analyzed using Pitzer's equations without making explicit assumption of association to ion pairs by assuming =3 instead of =2, with the (1) term for TlCl being equivalent to the (2) term for 2-2 electrolytes. Best values of (0) and (1) for TlCl are recommended together with K s , the activity solubility product. These were used to fit the present solubility data and derive the Pitzer model mixture parameters relevant to the systems, fTIN and fTINCl (N=Sr, Ba). Mixture parameters for TlCl+MCl+H2O systems are also derived to complete the parameter base. The fit of the experimental data was found to be worse when higher-order terms for asymmetrical mixing were included in the analysis. Activity coefficients for thallium(I) chloride in the mixtures are derived.  相似文献

Anti-Borrelia burgdorferi immunoglobulin G (IgG) responses in cerebrospinal fluid, serum, and joint fluid from Lyme disease patients were investigated by immobilized pH gradient (IPG) isoelectric focusing (IEF) in pH 4-10 and pH 4-7 gels. After focusing, the anti-B.-burgdorferi antibodies were blotted by affinity-driven transfer to antigen-coated polyvinylidene difluoride membranes (immunoblot) and the IgG antibodies were immunoenzymatically stained. IPG-IEF gels gave an excellent resolution of IgG and the immunoblot proved advantageous for the detection of anti-B. burgdorferi IgG antibodies. These antibodies, as judged from the electromigration characteristics, were found to contain oligoclonal as well as polyclonal subpopulations. This latter group included IgG antibodies that were inadequately resolved when separated by conventional carrier ampholyte IEF.  相似文献

We have established a method for separation and characterization of a series of peptide hormones of pharmaceutical interest and wide therapeutical use by capillary electrophoresis-electrospray-mass spectrometry (CE-ES-MS) using a sheath flow interface. Several parameters were systematically investigated, such as concentration of the electrolyte, organic solvent and sheath liquid composition, gas flow rates and capillary position. Moreover, limits of detection, linearity, repeatability and day-to-day reproducibility of the proposed method were studied in order to obtain the main quality parameters.  相似文献

A 23 full factorial experimental design was adopted to estimate the effects of three variables on the biodegradation of oil during soil bioremediation: bioaugmentation seeding a mixed culture, addition of fertilizer or mineral media, and correction of initial pH of the soil to 7.0. The tests were carried out in polyvinyl chloride reactors with 5.0 kg of crude oil-contaminated soil at 14 g/kg. After screening the variables, soil bioremediation tests were conduced with varied C:N ratios, yielding an increase in biodegradation of the oil heavy fraction from 24 to 65%, consumption of total n-paraffins, and a remarkable decrease in the concentration of residual polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons of the soil.  相似文献

[Reaction: see text] Ruthenium-catalyzed coupling of allyl ethyl ether to optically active 1-trimethylsilyl-1-alkyn-3-ols, followed by in situ ketalization and Lewis-acid-induced cyclization, affords enantiomerically pure 1,5-oxygen-bridged eight- and nine-membered carbocycles. Opening of the oxygen bridge under basic or electron transfer conditions provides optically pure medium-sized carbocycles, products that are difficult to construct using other currently available methodologies.  相似文献

Oligonucleotides protected with N-(trimethylsilylethoxycarbonyl) (Teoc) and P-(trimethylsilylethanol) (Tse) groups were synthesized and deprotected by a single ZnBr2 treatment. Candida rugosa lipase was entrapped in silica sol-gel particles prepared by hydrolysis of methyltrimethoxysilane and assayed by p-nitrophenyl palmitate hydrolysis, as a function of pH and temperature, giving pH optima of 7.8 (free enzyme) and 5.0–8.0 (immobilized enzyme). The optimum temperature for the immobilized enzyme (50–55°C) was 19°C higher than for the free enzyme. Thermal, operational, and storage stability were determined with n-butanol and bytyric acid, giving at 45°C a half-life 2.7 times greater for the immobilized enzyme; storage time was 21 d at room temperature. For ester synthesis, the optimum temperature was 47°C, and high esterification conversions were obtained under repeated batch cycles (half-life of 138 h).  相似文献

In the present paper we report the results of a multiconfigurational computational study on potential-energy curves of azobenzene along the NN twisting to clarify the role of this coordinate in the decay of the S2(*) and S1(n*) states. We have found that there is a singlet state, S3 at the trans geometry, on the basis of the doubly excited configuration n2*2, that has a deep minimum at about 90° of twisting, where it is the lowest excited singlet state. The existence of this state provides an explanation for the short lifetime of S2(*) and for the wavelength-dependence of azobenzene photochemistry. We have characterized the S1(n*) state by calculating its vibrational frequencies, which are found to correspond to the recently observed transient Raman spectrum. Chitosan is alternated with sulfonated polystyrene (PSS) to build layer‐by‐layer (LBL) films that are used as sensing units in an electronic tongue. Using impedance spectroscopy as the principle method of detection, an array using chitosan/PSS LBL film and a bare gold electrode as the sensing units was capable of distinguishing the basic tastes – salty, sweet, bitter, and sour – to a concentration below the human threshold. The suitability of chitosan as a sensing material was confirmed by using this sensor to distinguish red wines according to their vintage, vineyard, and brands.

A tungsten-rhodium treatment on the integrated platform of a transversely heated graphite atomiser was used as a permanent chemical modifier for the determination of copper in biological materials by using digested samples as well as slurry sampling in electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. The W-Rh permanent modifier was as efficient as Pd+Mg(NO(3))(2) conventional modifier for obtaining good Cu thermal stabilisation in the digested and slurry samples. The permanent W-Rh modifier remained stable by approximately 300 and 250 firings when 20 mul of digested sample and 20 mul of slurry were delivered into the atomiser, respectively. In addition, the permanent modifier increased the tube lifetime up to 1370 and 744 analytical measurements in the digested and slurry samples, respectively. Also, when the W-Rh permanent modifier was employed, there was less variation of the slope of the analytical curves during the total atomiser lifetime, resulting in a decreased need of re-calibration during routine analysis, increasing the sample throughput, and consequently diminishing the variable analytical costs. Detection limits obtained with W-Rh permanent modifier were 0.64 and 0.33 mug g(-1) Cu for digested (dilution factor 100 ml g(-1)) and 1.0% m/v slurries of biological materials, respectively. Results for the determination of copper in the samples were in agreement with those obtained with decomposed sample solutions by using Pd+Mg(NO(3)), since no statistical differences were found after applying the paired t-test at the 95% level.  相似文献
