A new class of chiral dienophiles, 5-alkoxy-2(5H)-furanones, has been developed. Both enantiomers of 5-menthyloxy-2(5H)-ftiranone are readily available in enantiomerically pure form, starting from furfural and d- or l-menthol. Excellent diastereoselectivities (d.e. β99%) are obtained in thermal Diels-Alder reactions with several cyclic and acyclic dienes. The use of silyl dienol ethers has resulted in new routes to enantiomerically pure cyclohexanones in a highly regioselective manner. 相似文献

Three new diterpenoids with a substituted α-cyclogeraniol skeleton have been isolated from the umbelliferae (Vahl) Lange, for which the names of magydar-2,13-dien-11,17-diol, , magydar-2,10 (20), 13-trien-17-ol, , and magydar-2,10(20), 13-trien-17-yl acetate, , are proposed. Two methods to produce (2S)-5-amino-2-(1-n-propyl-1H-imidazol-4-ylmethyl)-pentanoic acid were investigated. Diastereoisomeric salt resolution, using the quinidine salt, gave the desired intermediate in 98% ee and 33% yield. Asymmetric hydrogenation of various substrates gave high conversions, with up to 83% ee. Integration of these two approaches via asymmetric hydrogenation of a quinidine salt substrate followed by crystallization provided the desired intermediate in 94% ee and 76% yield. 相似文献

Cholesterol constitutes the major component of most gallstones. It was identified and determined, in gallstones, issued from
eleven patients, by thermal analysis: differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), with the use of the melting temperature and
enthalpy, thermogravimetry (TG), with the mass loss of water. Anhydrous cholesterol (ChA) was characterized by two endothermic
peaks (polymorphic, melting) and cholesterol monohydrate (ChH) by two endothermic peaks (dehydration, melting), too. Cha needle
and Chh plate crystals were observed under polarizing light microscopy. The numerous stones obtained from nine patients were
cholesterol stones: the ChA was higher 45 and lower 96%. ChH was present in stones of three patients.

In the present work we obtained the experimental pKs of the amino acid alpha-alanine in NaCl at 25 degrees and different ionic strengths. The equilibrium constants have been potentiometrically determined with a commercial glass electrode and the results analysed through three models: two directly based on the Pitzer and Scatchard approaches to the ion specific interaction theory and the other based on a simpler modification of the Debye-Hückel equation. The three models fit the data reasonably well and the extrapolated pK values obtained show a good agreement. The goodness of the ridge regression method cannot be probed in this case. 相似文献
