Synchronization of workers and vehicles plays a major role in many industries such as logistics, healthcare or airport ground handling. In this paper, we focus on operational ground handling planning and model it as an archetype of vehicle routing problems with multiple synchronization constraints, coined as “abstract vehicle routing problem with worker and vehicle synchronization” (AVRPWVS). The AVRPWVS deals with routing workers to ground handling jobs such as unloading baggage or refuelling an aircraft, while meeting each job’s time window. Moreover, each job can be performed by a variable number of workers. As airports span vast distances and due to security regulations, workers use vehicles to travel between locations. Furthermore, each vehicle, moved by a driver, can carry several workers. We propose two mathematical multi-commodity flow formulations based on time-space networks to efficiently model five synchronization types including movement and load synchronization. Moreover, we develop a branch-and-price heuristic that employs both conventional variable branching and a novel variable fixing strategy. We demonstrate that the procedure achieves results close to the optimal solution in short time when compared to the two integer models. 相似文献

Based on the crystal structures of human vitamin D receptor (hVDR) bound to 1α,25-dihydroxy-vitamin D(3) (1,25 D) and superagonist ligands, we previously designed new superagonist ligands with a tetrahydrofuran ring at the side chain that optimize the aliphatic side-chain conformation through an entropy benefit. Following a similar strategy, four novel vitamin D analogues with aromatic furan side chains (3a, 3b, 4a, 4b) have now been developed. The triene system has been constructed by an efficient stereoselective intramolecular cyclization of an enol triflate (A-ring precursor) followed by a Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of the resulting intermediate with an alkenyl boronic ester (CD-side chain, upper fragment). The furan side chains have been constructed by gold chemistry. These analogues exhibit significant pro-differentiation effects and transactivation potency. The crystal structure of 3a in a complex with the ligand-binding domain of hVDR revealed that the side-chain furanic ring adopts two conformations. 相似文献

Summary. Thin-film electrodes allow the manufacturing of flat batteries of variable design. Their electric performance is better than
that of customary cells because of a larger contact area between anode and cathode and better utilization of the electrochemically
active materials. Bipolar thin-film electrodes for the rechargeable alkaline zinc/manganese dioxide system were assembled
using graphite-filled plastics (high-density polyethylene and polyisobutylene). In a different approach, extremely thin electrodes
were obtained using 25 μm thick foils made of non-conductive micro-porous polypropylene. The electroactive materials were
electrolytically deposited into the pores of the previously metallized foil, providing the required conductive connection
through the plastic matrix by themselves. Cycle behavior, cumulated capacities, and energies of batteries with up to two bipolar
units were measured. At this early stage of development, batteries based on graphite-filled polymer foils showed better results
with regard to storage capacity per unit area and to cycle life. Prototypes based on micro-porous polypropylene suffered from
the relatively small fraction of pore volume available for the deposition of active material (about 38%) and from current
collector corrosion.

Various types of carbon nanoparticles were directly mixed with microbial cells of Gluconobacter oxydans within a 3-D bionanocomposite in order to prepare a highly sensitive ethanol biosensor with a short response time. From all carbonaceous nanomaterials tested, single- or multi-walled carbon nanotubes provided the highest sensitivity of detection (117–121 µA cm?2 mM?1), but from a practical point of view, Ketjen black 300 and 600 provide very low detection limit (2–6 µM) and high sensitivity for the ethanol analysis (84–88 µA cm?2 mM?1)with a shortresponse time (14–33 s). Moreover, the price of Ketjen black is a few orders of magnitude lower compared to that of carbon nanotubes. Finally, the study showed that the morphology of nanoparticles rather than their surface modification is the key element in achieving high sensitivity of ethanol detection. 相似文献

The thickness shear mode acoustic method was used to study the binding of thrombin to DNA aptamers immobilised on the gold surface covered by DNA tetrahedrons. The binding of thrombin to conventional aptamers sensitive to fibrinogen (FBT) and heparin (HPT) exosites as well as to HPT in a loop configuration (HPTloop) made it possible to determine the constant of dissociation (KD) and the limit of detection (LOD). The sensing system composed of a HPTloop was characterised by KD = (66.7 ± 22.7) nM, which was almost twice as low as that of FBT and HPT. For this biosensor, a lower LOD of 5.2 nM compared with 17 nM for conventional HPT aptamers was also obtained. Less sensitive sensors based on FBT aptamers revealed an LOD of 30 nM which is in agreement with the lower affinity of these aptamers to thrombin in comparison with that of HPT. The surface concentration of DNA tetrahedrons was determined by the electrochemical method using [Ru(NH3)6]3+ as a redox probe. These experiments confirmed that the “step by step” method of forming the sensing layer, consisting first in chemisorption of DNA tetrahedrons onto a gold surface and then in hybridisation of the aptamer-supporting part with complementary oligos at the top of the tetrahedron, is preferable. In addition, atomic force microscopy was applied to analyse the topography of the gold layers modified stepwise by DNA tetrahedrons, DNA aptamers and thrombin. The height profiles of the layers were in reasonable agreement with the dimensions of the adsorbed molecules. Potential protective effects of elderberry (Sambucus nigra) extracts against oxidative degradation of hyaluronan (HA) were detected in vitro. To induce free-radical-mediated HA degradation, Weissberger’s biogenic oxidative system, which mimics the situation of acute inflammation, was applied. Time- and dose-dependent changes of dynamic viscosity of the HA solutions in the presence and absence of two elderberry extracts produced in 2006 and 2012 were recorded by rotational viscometry (RV). Radical scavenging capacity of both extracts was investigated by the spectrocolorimetric ABTS [2,2′-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) diammonium salt] assay and the “inverted” ABTS assay. Oxygen consumption of the system oxidizing HA either in the absence or presence of the elderberry extracts was determined. The results of RV revealed that an addition of the newer extract (2012) promoted the inhibition of HA degradation more markedly compared to the older extract (2006). The same effect of both extracts on ABTS·+ scavenging was observed. Inverted ABTS assay demonstrated that colorful substances were not responsible for the radical-scavenging activity. Results of oximetry demonstrated that the effect of the extract from 2006 was more significant than that of the extract from 2012. 相似文献

A sensitive voltammetric method for the determination of pyrogallol (PY) was developed employing a boron-doped diamond electrode (BDDE). The composition of the supporting electrolyte was investigated during the development of the methodology. Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) under the optimized experimental conditions was applied for PY determination with a limit of detection and limit of quantification of 0.85 and 2.82 μmol L?1, respectively. These values are satisfactory for application to real samples. The usability of this method for the quantification of pyrogallol was in range from 2.82 to 296.00 μmol L?1. Finally, the developed method was successfully used for the analysis of real samples of biodiesel produced from rapeseed oil and its blend with diesel fuel. Samples of biodiesel and biodiesel blends were analyzed directly in an electrochemical cell, while samples with very low concentrations of PY in biodiesel were extracted with water using the proposed simple and fast process. 相似文献
