Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) were used to study the molecular organization and morphology of vacuum-deposited tetracene layers. FTIR and optical measurements confirm that tetracene molecules are not dissociated during vacuum thermal deposition. With STM imaging, a highly ordered, closely packed, lamella-like structure of tetracene monolayer film on the Au(111) surface was observed. Electroluminescence from the nanocomposite consisting of Au nanoparticles and tetracene film is concentrated within submicron luminescent centers and occurs at voltages of 4–5 V in a superlinear section of conduction current–voltage curves. The results can be useful for the design of planar light-emitting devices. 相似文献

The characteristics of the electric field produced by air polarization during the passage of nonstationary Compton currents excited by a -ray pulse in low-density air are discussed. The influence of the field on the motion of the Compton electrons is taken into account. The amplitude and relaxation time of the field are evaluated. A polarization electric field is created through the action of a directed current of -rays in air because of the movement of the Compton electrons. This paper discusses the basic characteristics of the resultant field in low-density air. A similar problem was raised in [1], where the electromagnetic field excited by a nonstationary source of -radiation in the upper atmosphere was considered. In that case, the Compton-electron currents were specified and their magnitude was assumed to be proportional to the ratio between the gas kinetic ranges of Compton electron and -ray (this ratio is of the order of 0.01 and is indepenent of height). Several theoretical [1–3] and experimental [4] studies have been made of the diamagnetic perturbations during expansion of a conducting material in a magnetic field. These studies have related either to superconducting media [1], or to a strong magnetic field which has a considerable effect on the motion of the medium [2], or to a weakly ionized media, in which the effects of field variation in the medium can be neglected [3]. In the following we examine the expansion of a substance with finite conductivity in a weak (having no effect on the motion of the medium) magnetic field with account for the effects of field attenuation within the expanding matter. This occurs in the diagnostics of the state of the matter of a spark at a laser focus on the basis of diamagnetic induction signals [4]. The relations obtained in the following appear to be applicable for estimating the diamagnetic properties of meteor trails.The method of solution of this problem may be of some interest; therefore, in the following the solution is obtained by several techniques for different basic geometries. 相似文献
