Safe and efficient hydrogen storage is a major obstacle for using hydrogen as an energy carrier. Therefore, intensive efforts have been focused on the development of new materials for chemical hydrogen storage. Of particular importance, hydrazine borane (N(2)H(4)BH(3)) is emerging as one of the most promising solid hydrogen carriers due to its high gravimetric hydrogen storage capacity (15.4 wt%) and low molecular weight. Herein, we report metal catalyzed methanolysis of hydrazine borane (N(2)H(4)BH(3), HB) as a fast hydrogen generation system under mild conditions. When trace amounts of nickel(ii) chloride (NiCl(2)) is added to the methanol solution of hydrazine borane ([HB]/[Ni] ≥ 200) the reaction solution releases 3 equiv. of H(2) with a rate of 24 mol H(2) (mol Ni min)(-1) at room temperature. The results reported here also includes (i) identification of the reaction products by using ATR-IR, DP-MS, (1)H and (11)B NMR spectroscopic techniques and the establishment of the reaction stoichiometry, (ii) investigation of the effect of substrate and catalyst concentrations on the hydrogen generation rate to determine the rate law for the catalytic methanolysis of hydrazine borane, (iii) determination of the activation parameters (E(a), ΔH(#), and ΔS(#)) for the catalytic methanolysis of hydrazine borane by using the temperature dependent rate data of the hydrogen generation.  相似文献

A novel bridged binuclear Cu(II) complex with mixed ligands, di-μ-(2-aminopyridine(N,N′))-bis[(2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate)aquacopper(II)] tetrahydrate, formulated as [Cu(μ-ap)(dipic)(H2O)]2·4H2O (1) (dipic = 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate, ap = 2-aminopyridine), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental, spectral (IR and UV–Vis.), thermal analysis, magnetic measurements and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The central Cu(II) ion resides on a centre of symmetry in a distorted square-pyramid coordination environment comprising of two N atoms, one from dipic and one from the ap ring, two carboxylate O atoms from dipic, and one O atom from water. Intermolecular N–HO and O–HO hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking interactions seem to be effective in the stabilization of the crystal structure. The free ligands and the complex were also evaluated for their antimicrobial and radical scavenging activities (DPPH = 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl hydrate) using in vitro microdilution methods. Antimicrobial screening of the free ligands and their complex showed that the free ligands and the complex possess antifungal activity against Candida sp.  相似文献

Plants have paved the way for the attainment of molecules with a wide-range of biological activities. However, plant products occasionally show low biological activities and/or poor pharmacokinetic properties. In that case, development of their derivatives as drugs from the plant world has been actively performed. As plant products, plastoquinones (PQs) have been of high importance in anticancer drug design and discovery; we have previously evaluated and reported the potential cytotoxic effects of a series of PQ analogs. Among these analogs, PQ2, PQ3 and PQ10 were selected for National Cancer Institute (NCI) for in vitro screening of anticancer activity against a wide range of cancer cell lines. The apparent superior anticancer potency of PQ2 on the HCT-116 colorectal cancer cell line than that of PQ3 and PQ10 compared to other tested cell lines has encouraged us to perform further mechanistic studies to enlighten the mode of anti-colorectal cancer action of PQ2. For this purpose, its apoptotic effects on the HCT-116 cell line, DNA binding capacity and several crucial pharmacokinetic properties were investigated. Initially, MTT assay was conducted for PQ2 at different concentrations against HCT-116 cells. Results indicated that PQ2 exhibited significant cytotoxicity in HCT-116 cells with an IC50 value of 4.97 ± 1.93 μM compared to cisplatin (IC50 = 26.65 ± 7.85 μM). Moreover, apoptotic effects of PQ2 on HCT-116 cells were investigated by the annexin V/ethidium homodimer III staining method and PQ2 significantly induced apoptosis in HCT-116 cells compared to cisplatin. Based on the potent DNA cleavage capacity of PQ2, molecular docking studies were conducted in the minor groove of the double helix of DNA and PQ2 presented a key hydrogen bonding through its methoxy moiety. Overall, both in vitro and in silico studies indicated that effective, orally bioavailable drug-like PQ2 attracted attention for colorectal cancer treatment. The most important point to emerge from this study is that appropriate derivatization of a plant product leads to unique biologically active compounds.  相似文献

Via an oxidation reaction of Cu(I) iodide with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (H2L) in DMF three copper(II) complexes, [(CH3)2NH2]2[CuL2] (1), K2[CuL2]?H2L?H2O (2) and [Cu(L)(H2O)]n (3), were synthesized and characterized. The structures of 1–3 were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. In-situ DMF decomposition produces dimethylamine base under solvothermal conditions and a proton transfer reaction takes place for the complex formation of 1. 3-D networks are stabilized in 1 and 2 via hydrogen bonds. Complex 3 is a 1-D coordination polymer with Cu-O semi-coordination bonds. Thermal decomposition of the complexes results in the corresponding metal oxides. Also, the electrochemical behavior of 1 was determined to be a metal-centered and diffusion-controlled, one-electron reduction process.  相似文献

Incorporation of bisphosphonate/bisphosphonic acid groups in dental monomer structures should increase interaction of these monomers with dental tissue as these groups have strong affinity for hydroxyapatite. Therefore, new urea dimethacrylates functionalized with bisphosphonate (1a, 1b) and bisphosphonic acid (2a, 2b) groups are synthesized and evaluated for dental applications. Monomers 1a and 1b are synthesized from 2‐isocyanatoethyl methacrylate (IEM) and two bisphosphonated amines (BPA1 and BPA2), prepared as reported elsewhere. Selective dealkylation of the bisphosphonate ester groups of 1a and 1b using trimethylsilyl bromide (TMSBr) gives monomers (2a and 2b) with bisphosphonic acid functionality. X‐ray diffractometer (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses of monomer‐treated HAP particles show that 2a induces formation of stable monomer‐calcium salts, similar to 10‐methacryloyloxydecyl dihydrogen phosphate (MDP), with higher chemical interaction than 2b. The photopolymerization studies indicate good copolymerizability with commercial dental monomers. In vitro studies on NIH 3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells have clearly shown that the tested monomers (1b and 2b) are not toxic according to the MTT standards. All these properties make these monomers suitable as biocompatible cross‐linkers/adhesives for dental applications. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. In this study, we present an approach based on neural networks, as an alternative to the ordinary least squares method, to describe the relation between the dependent and independent variables. It has been suggested to construct a model to describe the relation between dependent and independent variables as an alternative to the ordinary least squares method. A new model, which contains the month and number of payments, is proposed based on real data to determine total claim amounts in insurance as an alternative to the model suggested by Rousseeuw et al. (1984) [Rousseeuw, P., Daniels, B., Leroy, A., 1984. Applying robust regression to insurance. Insurance: Math. Econom. 3, 67–72] in view of an insurer.  相似文献
