The synthesis of mono‐ and bi‐supported Ziegler–Natta catalysts using magnesium etoxide Mg(OEt)2 and graphene oxide (GO) as catalyst support for production of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) is reported in this investigation. Nano‐graphene oxide was prepared by the modified Hummer's method and its structure was analyzed by XRD and FTIR indicating the presence of hydroxyl groups on graphene oxide and the formation of an exfoliated structure. The activity of TiCl4/Mg(OEt)2, TiCl4/Mg(OEt)2‐GO, and TiCl4/GO catalysts in terms of grams of PE produced per mmol of Ti per hour was experimentally obtained for catalysts with different ratios of co‐catalyst (triisobutylaluminium) to TiCl4. For all three series of catalysts, the activity curve showed an optimum point at a specific Al/Ti molar ratio. Catalyst activity was highest for TiCl4/Mg(OEt)2 and lowest for TiCl4/GO. The characterization of UHMWPE products indicated that the viscosity average molecular weight (Mv) was highest for the polymer produced by TiCl4/Mg(OEt)2 and lowest for the polymer produced by TiCl4/GO. Furthermore, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA), and mechanical tensile testing were conducted on the prepared polymers indicating that the polymer produced by TiCl4/GO had the highest thermal and mechanical properties, while these properties were at their minimum for polymers produced by TiCl4/Mg(OEt)2. In this study, a simple three-parameter linear model is presented for estimation of flash point (FP) of pure compounds. The parameters of the model contain experimental normal boiling point of the compound and two chemical structure-based parameters. A comprehensive database of FPs containing 1472 pure compounds of various chemical structures was used to develop the model. The squared correlation coefficient and average absolute error of the model calculation results for all of the compounds presented in the database are evaluated to be 0.982 and 7.2?K, respectively. 相似文献

This work reports a new method for the synthesis of quaternary α-alkenyl substituted amino acids by the enantio- and diastereoselective addition of imidazolidinone derivatives to alkynes and allenes. Further hydrolysis of the imidazolidinone products under acidic conditions afforded biologically relevant amino acid derivatives. This method is geometry-selective (E-isomer), enantio- and diastereoselective, and products were obtained in good to excellent yields. The utility of this new methodology is proved by its operational simplicity and the successful accomplishment of gram-scale reactions. Experimental and computational studies suggest the key role of Li in terms of selectivity and support the proposed reaction mechanism.Enantio-, diastereoselective, geometry-selective addition of imidazolidinone derivatives to alkynes and allenes in the presence of LiHMDS in order to obtain quaternary α-alkenyl substituted amino acids in high isolated yields. 相似文献

Based on the transfer-matrix method, we have investigated the spin-dependent transport properties of magnetic graphene superlattice in the presence of Rashba spin-orbit interaction (RSOI). It is shown that the angular range of the spin transmission probability through magnetic graphene superlattice can be efficiently controlled by the number of barriers. As the number of magnetic barriers increases, the angular range of the transmission through the magnetic superlattice decreases, the gaps in the transmission and conductivity versus energy become wider. It is also found that the spin conductivities oscillate with the Fermi energy and RSOI strength. Specifically, when a magnetic field is present, the spin polarisation can be observed, whereas for the RSOI alone it is zero. Application of such a phenomenon to design a spin polarised electron device based on the graphene material is anticipated. 相似文献

In this paper, we present the results of a study of real-world applications of O.R./M.S. as seen in journals. Five leading journals in the field are surveyed, and real-world application articles are classified using a two dimensional framework consisting of orientation and decision. The orientation dimension separates strategically oriented applications with long-term implications and tactically oriented applications with medium- and short-term implications. The decision dimension refers to the type of decision in the application-largely structured or largely unstructured. The major O.R./M.S. topics are placed in the resulting four quadrants, and articles published in the four most recent volumes of the five journals are classified. Based on the results of this survey, the thrust and shortcomings of implementation research are discussed. Some measures for enhancing publication of field-based research are also proposed. 相似文献
