Adsorption of La, Eu, and Lu on red clay was studied in an initial concentration range of 10?4–10?3 mol/dm3 and a pH range of 2–10. Among the different forms of red clay: T-clay (thermally modified), R-clay (raw, unmodified), Na-clay (sodium form), H-clay (acid form), and HDTMA-clay (surfactant-modified form), T-clay was found to be the most effective adsorbent of the lanthanides studied. The adsorption/desorption isotherms, i.e. log K d versus log c eq dependencies, had a linear character. Among the investigated lanthanides, Eu was most strongly bound by the clay surface and, therefore, parameters a (slopes of the lines log K d = alog c eq + b) of Eu were the highest compared to those for La and Lu. Desorption isotherms were located above adsorption isotherms, which resulted from chemiadsorption of the investigated lanthanides. Changes in lanthanide adsorption with pH were successfully modelled based on the molar fractions of Ln3+, LnOH2+, LnCO3 +, and Ln(CO3) 2 ? species in the aqueous phase [Ln—lanthanide(III)].  相似文献

Plants from Asteraceae family are widely used for their therapeutic effects in the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, but the consequences of excessive intake still need to be studied. The aims of this study were the evaluation of cytotoxicity, measurement of antioxidant properties and determination of polyphenolic profile of Tanacetum vulgare L. (tansy), Achillea millefolium L. (yarrow) and Solidago gigantea Ait. (goldenrod) ethanolic extracts. The cytotoxicity of extracts was monitored by xCELLigence system in real time by using porcine intestinal epithelial cell line (IPEC-1) and by measurement of changes in metabolic activity ((3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium) (MTS) assay). The antioxidant properties were measured by spectrophotometric methods and polyphenolic profiles were determined by HPLC-DAD for 50% ethanol extracts (10% w/v). Strong cytotoxic effect was recorded for tansy and yarrow extracts (125–1000 µg/mL) by xCELLigence system and MTS assay. Conversely, a supportive effect on cell proliferation was recorded for goldenrod extracts (125 µg/mL) by the same methods (p < 0.001). The antioxidant activity was in good correlation with total polyphenolic content, and the highest value was recorded for goldenrod leaves, followed by tansy leaves, goldenrod flowers and yarrow leaf extracts. The goldenrod extracts were abundant with flavonoids, whereas phenolic acid derivatives predominated in the polyphenolic profile of tansy and yarrow.  相似文献

Edible insects, due to their high nutritional value, are a good choice for traditional food supplementation. The effects of partial replacement of wheat flour and butter with mealworm flour (Tenebrio molitor) on the quality attributes of shortcake biscuits were studied. The approximate composition was analyzed, along with the physical properties and color. Moreover, the antioxidant properties, starch digestibility, and glycemic index were determined in vitro. The protein and ash contents in biscuits supplemented with mealworm flour increased, while the carbohydrates content decreased. The increasing insect flour substitution decreased the lightness (L*) and yellowness (b*) but increased the redness (a*), total color difference (ΔE), and browning index (BI). The spread factor for the sample with the highest proportion of mealworm flour was significantly higher than the other biscuits. Furthermore, higher additions of mealworm flour increased the antioxidant activity of the biscuits and contributed to an increase in the content of slowly digested starch, with a decrease in the content of rapidly digested starch. Therefore, the results of the research are promising and indicate the possibility of using edible insects to enrich food by increasing the nutritional and health-promoting values.  相似文献

The influence of process parameters on the epoxidation of 2-buten-1-ol with 30 % hydrogen peroxide using the titanium silicalite TS-1 is presented. The studies were carried out under autogenic pressure (in autoclave). Methanol was used as a solvent in this process. The influence of temperature, 2-buten-1-ol to hydrogen peroxide mole ratio, amount of solvent used, TS-1 catalyst content, and reaction time on the reaction was studied. The major product of this reaction, 2,3-epoxybutan-1-ol (EB), has numerous applications in chemical industry.  相似文献

We found that difluorocarbene generated from chlorodifluoromethane with 50% aqueous sodium hydroxide reacts with lipophilic tertiary amines 1a-g giving difluoromethyltrialkylammonium chlorides 2a-g in high yields. Similarly, difluoromethyltrialkylammonium iodides 3h-l, nitrates 4h-k, or isothiocyanates 5i,j were synthesized from hydrophilic tertiary amines 1h-l and the corresponding sodium or potassium salts. In this work, for the first time, Ultra-High-Performance Liquid Chromatography–Tandem Mass Spectrometry (UHPLC–MS/MS) method was developed for qualitative and quantitative analysis of veterinary antibiotics (cephalosporins, diaminopyrimidines, fluoro(quinolones), lincosamides, macrolides, penicillins, pleuromutilins, sulfonamides, tetracyclines, and sulfones) in hen eggshells. The sample preparation method is based on a liquid–liquid extraction with a mixture of metaphosphoric acid, ascorbic acid, EDTA disodium salt dihydrate, and acetonitrile. The chromatographic separation was performed on Luna® Omega Polar C18 10 column in gradient elution mode and quantitated in an 8 min run. Validation such as linearity, selectivity, precision, recovery, matrix effect, limit of quantification (LOQ), and limit of detection (LOD) was found to be within the acceptance criteria of the validation guidelines of the Commission Decision 2002/657/EC and EUR 28099 EN. Average recoveries ranged from 81–120%. The calculated LOQ values ranged from 1 to 10 µg/kg, the LOD values ranged from 0.3 to 4.0 µg/kg, depending on analyte. The developed method has been successfully applied to the determination of antibacterial compounds in hen eggshell samples obtained from different sources. The results revealed that enrofloxacin, lincomycin, doxycycline, and oxytetracycline were detected in hen eggshell samples.  相似文献

A sensitive square-wave voltammetry (SWV) method based on basal-plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (BPPGE) and edge-plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (EPPGE) was developed to determine the concentration of the pesticide mandipropamid (MAN) in spiked river water and grape juice samples. Under optimal experimental conditions, the SWV response of EPPGE and BPPGE was linear over the concentration ranges of 0.7 to 9.0 μmol L−1 and 0.5 to 10.0 μmol L−1, respectively. The method was successfully used to determine MAN in spiked samples with good recovery. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) was conducted to understand the mechanism underlying the electrode process of MAN.  相似文献

A set of seven home‐made silica based bonded phases with different functional groups was investigated. Their zeta potential data in methanol and acetonitrile as well as in methanol/water and acetonitrile/water solution were obtained by using a Zetasizer. The influence of polar functional groups on a zeta potential was investigated. The results show that the amines incorporated in the structure of chemically bonded phases of reversed‐phase materials are protonated during chromatographic analysis, resulting in changes of the zeta potential from negative to positive values. Acetonitrile causes more negative values and methanol provides positive (or less negative) values of the zeta potential.  相似文献
