Per-O-acetylated β-d-glucopyranosyl azide was transformed into an intermediate iminophosphorane by PMe3 which was then acylated to N-acyl-β-d-glucopyranosylamines. The same azide and substituted acetylenes gave 1-(β-d-glucopyranosyl)-4-substituted-1,2,3-triazoles in Cu(I)-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloadditions. Deprotection of these products by the Zemplén method furnished β-d-Glcp-NHCO-R derivatives as well as 1-(β-d-Glcp)-4-R-1,2,3-triazoles which were evaluated as inhibitors of rabbit muscle glycogen phosphorylase b. Pairs of amides versus triazoles with the same R group displayed similar inhibition constants. X-ray crystallographic studies on the enzyme–inhibitor complexes revealed high similarities in the binding of pairs with R = 2-naphthyl and hydroxymethyl, while for the R = Ph and 1-naphthyl compounds a different orientation of the aromatic part and changes in the conformation of the 280s loop were observed. By this study new examples of amide-1,2,3-triazole bioisosteric relationship have been provided. 相似文献

Elemental analysis of ancient ceramics is primarily used in provenance research, where defined compositional groups are attributed to particular raw materials sources or production locations. Requirements in data quality and analytical performance are high, as is the need for clear and reproducible methodologies and the availability of information on the above to ensure interlaboratory comparability and long‐term data validity. This paper outlines the measurement parameters of a dedicated calibration set‐up for the analysis of ancient ceramics using wavelength‐dispersive X‐ray fluorescence spectrometry. The specimens are prepared as concentrated glass beads, allowing the measurement of 26 elements from a single sample, thus minimising sample size requirements. Certified and non‐commercial standards are used to evaluate the performance of the method in terms of detection limits, precision, repeatability and accuracy. The materials used cover a range of compositions in line with the matrix variability encountered in archaeological ceramics. The data confirm the high standard of the method and highlight specific limitations. An initial assessment of comparability with other set‐ups used in ceramic analyses, primarily neutron activation analysis, is given through a discussion of performance on commonly analysed materials. The advantages of the proposed method include excellent analytical performance, analysis of a large suite of elements including all major, minor and a good range of traces, relatively small sample sizes and preparation of samples that can be stored and reanalysed. Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is recognized for its nutritional virtues and the beneficial health effects deriving from its hydrophilic fraction (phenolic acids, phenolic alcohols, flavonoids, and secoiridoids). The phenolic compounds of EVOOs possess multiple biological properties such as antioxidant, antimicrobial, anticarcinogenic, and anti-inflammatory properties, among others. Considering that EVOOs produced in Greece are recognized as high-quality products due to their rich phenolic content, it is imperative to characterize Greek monovarietal EVOOs and ensure that their uniqueness is closely linked to their botanical and territorial origin. In this work, an ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography–quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-QTOF-MS) analytical method combined with target and suspect screening was used to characterize monovarietal EVOOs of the Kolovi variety from Lesvos, and thereby establish their phenolic fingerprint. Overall, 25 phenols were determined, and the total quantification and semi-quantification results ranged between 251 and 1230 mg/kg, highlighting the high phenolic content of the Kolovi variety from the island of Lesvos in the North Aegean. 相似文献

In the present article an attempt is being made to elucidate the inorganic colorants encountered in the Russian avant-garde painting palette by a combined art historical, documentary and physicochemical investigation; and to examine the influence of environmental factors on the chromatic profile originally sought by the artist. The overall approach based on written sources is confirmed by measurements on representative paintings from the Costakis Collection in the State Museum for Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki. The documentary research deals with the influences of Orthodox iconography, folkloric art, and occidental modernist tendencies on the Russian avant-garde palette; and is studying the effects of contradictory historical processes in the chromatic profile of individual paintings. In the experimental section a series of colorants are investigated concerning the effects of accelerated ageing on experimental painting tables, prepared as watercolour and gouache layers on paper ground. The resulting samples are subject to colorimetric, and spectroscopic measurements; and analogous analytical procedures are applied on samples taken from selected paintings belonging to the Costakis Collection. A systematic comparative study of all data permits evaluating the materials used as to their stability towards exstrincic factors, and proposing degradation routes, in order to assist museum curators and conservators in every concrete case related to the broad spectrum of pigments examined. 相似文献

The olive fruit fly pheromone avidin-biotin ELISA immunoassay, based on the use of polyclonal G antibodies derived from rabbits (reported previously) and a newer assay, based on the use of polyclonal Y antibodies isolated from the eggs of laying hens (reported in this paper), were applied successfully for the analysis of natural pheromone in virgin adult female olive fruit flies. According to the results obtained, the pheromone content in the glands of adult female olive fruit flies increases from the third to the ninth day of their age. During the calling period, the female olive fruit flies seem to emit approximately 1.1microg pheromone/insect/day at least. The immunoassay, based on the Y antibodies, is slightly more sensitive (detection limit 40ng/mL) than the assay based on polyclonal anti-pheromone rabbit antiserum (detection limit 80ng/mL). As revealed by thorough cross-reactivity studies, including 14 structurally similar to the olive fruit fly pheromone molecules, the newer immunoassay is less selective than the previous one and seems to cross react with few molecules bearing the spiroketal moiety. 相似文献
