Abstract

Aim of the present study was to evaluate the potential beneficial and/or adverse effects of Capsicum annuum L. (cv. Fiesta) extracts at two stage of ripening (immature and mature), and at two dosages (low and high) by evaluation of biochemical profile and oxidative status in CD-1 mice. The extracts were daily administered to mice by oral gavage for 20?days. At the end of the trial, the animals were euthanatized and blood was collected. Evidence of liver damage (increase of AST, ALT and bilirubin) in the group receiving the higher dosage of immature peppers extract were observed. Even if no adverse effects were seen at the lower doses, also no signs of beneficial effects in term of health status, biochemical profile and oxidative status were detected. These results are in contrast with in vitro findings and raise doubts about the possible use of Capsicum annuum L. (cv. Fiesta) as a nutritional supplement.  相似文献

Human serum albumin (HSA) is involved in the transport of metal ions and potential metallodrugs. Depending on the metal, several sites are available, among which are N-terminal (NTS) and multi-metal binding sites (MBS). Despite the large number of X-ray determinations for albumins, only one structure with Zn2+ is available. In this work, the binding to HSA of the VIVO2+ ion was studied by an integrated approach based on spectroscopic and computational methods, which allowed the systems to be characterized even in the absence of X-ray analysis. The behavior depends on the type of albumin, defatted (HSAd) or fatted (HSAf). With HSAd ‘primary’ and ‘secondary’ sites were revealed, NTS with (His3, His9, Asp13, Asp255) and MBS with (His67, His247, Asp249, Asn99 or H2O); with increasing the ratio VIVO2+/HSAd, ‘tertiary’ sites, with one His-N and other donors (Asp/Glu-O or carbonyl-O) are populated. With HSAf, fatty acids (FAs) cause a rotation of the subdomains IA and IIA, which results in the formation of a dinuclear ferromagnetic adduct (VIVO)2D(HSAf) with a μ1,1-Asp249 and the binding of His247, Glu100, Glu252, and His67 or Asn99. FAs hinder also the binding of VIVO2+ to the MBS.  相似文献

In this paper we calculate the Bondi mass of asymptotically flat spacetimes with interacting electromagnetic and scalar fields. The system of coupled Einstein–Maxwell–Klein–Gordon equations is investigated and corresponding field equations are written in the spinor form and in the Newman–Penrose formalism. Asymptotically flat solution of the resulting system is found near null infinity. Finally we use the asymptotic twistor equation to find the Bondi mass of the spacetime and derive the Bondi mass-loss formula. We compare the results with our previous work (Bi?ák et al. in Class Quantum Gravity 27(17):175011, 2010) and show that, unlike the conformal scalar field, the (Maxwell–)Klein–Gordon field has negatively semi-definite mass-loss formula.  相似文献

Summary The detection of hydroxylamin as ferric hydroxamate has been described in a preceding article. Its small-scale performance as spot test and in a small. test tube is described. The limit of identification is 0.1g hydroxylamine and the limiting concentration is 150000.
Zusammenfassung Der in einer früheren Arbeit beschriebene Nachweis von Hydroxylamin als Eisen(III)hydroxamat kann auch als Tüpfelreaktion oder in einer Mikreprouvette ausgeführt werden. Die Erfassungsgrenze beträgt 0,1 g Hydroxylamin, die Grenzkonzentration 150000.

Résumé La recherche de l'hydroxylamine en hydroxamate de fer-III décrite dans un travail antérieur peut être effectuée aussi sous forme d'analyse à la touche ou en micro-éprouvette. La sensibilité absolue atteint 0,1 g d'hydroxylamine et la limite de dilution 150000.
