The synthesis and characterization of oxidized bis-thioketal-trispiro dinitroxide biradicals that orient the nitroxides in a rigid, approximately orthogonal geometry are reported. The biradicals show better performance as polarizing agents in dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) NMR experiments as compared to biradicals lacking the constrained geometry. In addition, the biradicals display improved solubility in aqueous media due to the presence of polar sulfoxides. The results suggest that the orientation of the radicals is not dramatically affected by the oxidation state of the sulfur atoms in the biradical, and we conclude that a biradical polarizing agent containing a mixture of oxidation states can be used for improved solubility without a loss in performance.  相似文献

Conjugated polymers and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are important constituents of modern functional hybrid materials. Their utilization as photoactive layers in organic solar cells requires better understanding of the relation between the structure and composition of the hybrids and their photovoltaic efficiency. While fullerenes‐conjugated polymer hybrids have been intensively studied over the last two decades, far less is known about the linkage between processing conditions, interfacial interactions, self‐assembled structures and functionality in CNT‐conjugated polymers composites. This article reviews some of the studies carried over the last decade and highlights the challenges in both fundamental understanding and technological manipulation of these materials. The recently introduced ion trap for FT-ICR mass spectrometers with dynamic harmonization showed the highest resolving power ever achieved both for ions with moderate masses 500?C1000?Da (peptides) as well as ions with very high masses of up to 200?kDa (proteins). Such results were obtained for superconducting magnets of very high homogeneity of the magnetic field. For magnets with lower homogeneity, the time of transient duration would be smaller. In superconducting magnets used in FT-ICR mass spectrometry the inhomogeneity of the magnetic field in its axial direction prevails over the inhomogeneity in other directions and should be considered as the main factor influencing the synchronic motion of the ion cloud. The inhomogeneity leads to a dependence of the cyclotron frequency from the amplitude of axial oscillation in the potential well of the ion trap. As a consequence, ions in an ion cloud become dephased, which leads to signal attenuation and decrease in the resolving power. Ion cyclotron frequency is also affected by the radial component of the electric field. Hence, by appropriately adjusting the electric field one can compensate the inhomogeneity of the magnetic field and align the cyclotron frequency in the whole range of amplitudes of z-oscillations. A method of magnetic field inhomogeneity compensation in a dynamically harmonized FT-ICR cell is presented, based on adding of extra electrodes into the cell shaped in such a way that the averaged electric field created by these electrodes produces a counter force to the forces caused by the inhomogeneous magnetic field.  相似文献

The syntheses, structural characterization, and magnetic behavior of two new hexanuclear copper(II) complexes derived from R-phosphonic acids and 1,3-bis(dimethylamino)-2-propanol (Hbdmap) with formulas [Cu(6)(μ-bdmap)(3)(μ(3)-Ph-PO(3))(2)(μ(3)-O···H···μ(3)-O)(ClO(4))(2)(H(2)O)]·5H(2)O (1) and [Cu(6)(μ-bdmap)(3)(μ(3)-t-Bu-PO(3))(2)(μ(3)-O···H···μ(3)-O)(μ(1,3)-dca)(dca)(H(2)O)]·6H(2)O (2) (Ph-H(2)PO(3) = phenylphosphonic acid, t-Bu-H(2)PO(3) = tert-butylphosphonic acid, dca = dicyanamide) are reported. Compounds 1 and 2 are hexanuclear 3.111 R-phosphonate(2-)/1,3-bis(dimethylamino)-2-propanolato(1-) cages including in the center the [μ(3)-O···H···μ(3)-O](3-) unit. The temperature dependence of the magnetic properties of 1 and 2 clearly indicates an overall strong antiferromagnetic coupling confirmed by DFT calculations.  相似文献

The adsorption of two classes of carboxylic ligands (i.e., aliphatic and aromatic small molecules), onto α-alumina nanoparticles was investigated. A new methodology was used whereby two molecules were simultaneously equilibrated with the inorganic material. A two-dimensional representation of the adsorption of the two complexing molecules enables us to differentiate between pairs of ligands with (i) independent adsorption on different sites of the alumina particles, (ii) competing adsorption on the same sites, or (iii) a mix thereof. Both the highest affinity ligands (tetracarboxylic acid, citric acid, and tiron), and the way they compete with lower affinity ligands have been identified. The combination of carbon skeleton and complexing groups required to produce the ligand of highest affinity at pH 5 has been recognized. In particular, the role of the OH in the α position of a carboxylic group and the role of the distance between two carboxylic groups are emphasized.  相似文献

Sensitivity of a shallow-water model to parameters   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
An adjoint based technique is applied to a shallow water model in order to estimate the influence of the model’s parameters on the solution. Among parameters, the bottom topography, initial conditions, boundary conditions on rigid boundaries, viscosity coefficients, Coriolis parameter and the amplitude of the wind stress tension are considered. Their influence is analyzed from three points of view:
flexibility of the model with respect to a parameter that is related to the lowest value of the cost function that can be obtained in the data assimilation experiment that controls this parameter;
possibility to improve the model by the parameter’s control, i.e., whether the solution with the optimal parameter remains close to observations after the end of control;
sensitivity of the model solution to the parameter in a classical sense. That implies the analysis of the sensitivity estimates and their comparison with each other and with the local Lyapunov exponents that characterize the sensitivity of the model to initial conditions.
Two configurations have been analyzed: an academic case of the model in a square box and a more realistic case simulating Black sea currents. It is shown in both experiments that the boundary conditions near a rigid boundary highly influence the solution. This fact points out the necessity to identify optimal boundary approximation during a model development.  相似文献

Complement to standard E2611-09 of the American Society for Testing and Materials [Standard Test Method for Measurement of Normal Incidence Sound Transmission of Acoustical Materials Based on the Transfer Matrix Method (American Society for Testing and Materials, New York, 2009)] is proposed in order to measure normal incidence sound transmission loss of materials in a modified impedance tube using a three-microphone two-load or one-load method. The modified tube is a standard two-microphone impedance tube, where a third microphone is mounted on a movable hard termination. This method is conceptually identical to the four-microphone two-load or one-load method described in the standard; however, it requires fewer transfer functions and one microphone less. The method is validated on (1) symmetrical homogeneous and (2) non-symmetrical non-homogeneous specimens.  相似文献

We show that the eigenvectors are delocalized and the transfer matrix evolution has a scaling limit given by a stochastic differential equation. In both cases, eigenvalues near a fixed bulk energy E have a point process limit. We give bounds on the eigenvalue repulsion, large gap probability, identify the limiting intensity and provide a central limit theorem.In the second model, the limiting processes are the same as the point processes obtained as the bulk scaling limits of the β-ensembles of random matrix theory. In the first model, the eigenvalue repulsion is much stronger.  相似文献
