Changes in molecular states of p-dimethylaminobenzonitrile (DMABN) coground with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) were examined using solid-state fluorescence measurements. Formation of a DMABN/β-CD inclusion complex by coprecipitation was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction measurement. The powder X-ray diffraction pattern of the ground mixture was a halo pattern and differed from the pattern of the mixture prepared by coprecipitation. Solid-state fluorescence measurements revealed emission by DMABN crystals in a twisted intermolecular charge-transfer state at 473 nm. DMABN in the DMABN/β-CD coprecipitate had a fluorescence emission peak at 393 nm due to its planar structure. In contrast, DMABN in a DMABN/β-CD ground mixture had an emission peak at 473 nm due to its twisted structure. Grinding time-dependent structural changes in DMABN were evaluated using fluorescence lifetime and relative quantum yield measurements. Structural changes in DMABN in the DMABN/β-CD coprecipitate from a planar to a twisted structure were observed with grinding. DMABN, dispersed in microcrystalline cellulose (CC) molecules in a DMABN/CC ground mixture, had a fluorescence emission peak at 473 nm. However, the excitation spectrum of a DMABN/β-CD ground mixture differed from that of DMABN in CC. These results indicated that the molecular state of DMABN accommodated in the β-CD cavity differs between the coprecipitate and the ground mixture.  相似文献

In the first part, we have constructed several families of interacting wedge-local nets of von Neumann algebras. In particular, we discovered a family of models based on the endomorphisms of the U(1)-current algebra ${\mathcal{A} ^{(0)}}$ of Longo-Witten. In this second part, we further investigate endomorphisms and interacting models. The key ingredient is the free massless fermionic net, which contains the U(1)-current net as the fixed point subnet with respect to the U(1) gauge action. Through the restriction to the subnet, we construct a new family of Longo-Witten endomorphisms on ${\mathcal{A} ^{(0)}}$ and accordingly interacting wedge-local nets in two-dimensional spacetime. The U(1)-current net admits the structure of particle numbers and the S-matrices of the models constructed here do mix the spaces with different particle numbers of the bosonic Fock space.  相似文献

We studied the immobilization of a mycelium (Aspergillus niger) using the working hypothesis as follows: (a) when polycation was added to the cell suspension, a few parts of it would bind on the surface of a hypha, allowing to gather the hyphae in part but not all; (b) upon further addition of polyanion, such a gathering of the hyphae is tightly bunched by the polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) which is resulted from the remaining polycation; (c) as a result, a mycelium with partially bunched hyphae can be obtained. Potassium poly(vinyl alcohol) sulfate and trimethylammonium glycol chitosan iodide [6-O-(2-hydroxyethyl-2-(trimethylamonio)-chitosan iodide) were used as the polyanion and the polycation, respectively. The optical and electron microscopic analyses showed that our immobilized cell contains many of PEC-bunched hyphae. The sedimentation rate increased with the weight ratio of PEC to dry cells and leveled off at the weight ratio larger than 0.5. The gluconic acid production from glucose was studied by a semi-large scale (1 l) cultivation of the imobilized and free cells using a jar fermentor. It was found that an apparent specific activity of the immobilized cells for glucose oxidation becomes 1.44 times that of the free cells even at a high cell density of 40 g/l.  相似文献

This study aims to measure the oxidative status of LDL from human plasma (n=26) as assessed by biomarkers for lipid peroxidation, total hydroxyoctadecadienoic acid (tHODE), 7alpha- and 7beta-hydroxycholesterol (t7-OHCh), and 8-iso-prostaglandin F(2alpha) (t8-iso-PGF(2alpha)) after subfractionation of LDL with an anion-exchange HPLC (AE-HPLC). LDL was separated and quantified by AE-HPLC as LDL-1, LDL-2, and LDL-3 in the order of the anionic charge of the LDL particles. The concentrations of tHODE, t7-OHCh, and t8-iso-PGF(2alpha) in both plasma and LDL subfractions were assessed after reduction and saponification. In this method, the free and ester forms of hydroperoxides, ketones, and hydroxides of linoleic acid and cholesterol are measured as tHODE and t7-OHCh, respectively. It was found that tHODE significantly correlated with the proportion of LDL-2 and LDL-3 as well as with the concentration of malondialdehyde-modified LDL in plasma. Further, by the analyses of LDL subfractions, the concentrations of tHODE, t8-iso-PGF(2alpha), and t7-OHCh in LDL-3 were found to be significantly higher than those in LDL-1 and LDL-2. The geometric characteristics of nanogel particles in aqueous solutions were studied by determining their ratios of radius of gyration (mean-square radius; Rg) to hydrodynamic radius (Rh), Rg/Rh, derived from static light scattering and dynamic light scattering experiments, respectively. The various nanogel samples studied included ones composed of lightly cross-linked N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPA) polymer, NIPA-based anionic or cationic copolymers, and amphoteric terpolymers. Polyelectrolyte complexes between anionic or cationic nanogels and oppositely charged polyions or nanogels having opposite charges were also studied. Most NIPA and NIPA-based polyelectrolyte nanogels in a swollen state had Rg/Rh values >0.775, which is the theoretically predicted value for a solid sphere. In a collapsed state, one may expect nanogel particles to be spherical in shape; however, this was not the case for a variety of nanogel samples, either with or without charges. These data were consistent with the idea that the surfaces of these nanogel particles were decorated with attached dangling chains. The Rg/Rh data from polyelectrolyte-nanogel complexes, however, indicated different structures from this. It was found that most of the polyelectrolyte-nanogel complex particles had Rg/Rh approximately 0.775. This suggested that the complexed nanogel particles were spherical in shape and that there were no dangling surface chains.  相似文献

This paper discusses the influence of graft chain length and dosage of comb‐type superplasticizers on adsorption and dispersion mechanisms, and their subsequent effect on the fluidity of concentrated limestone suspensions. Contrary to the results obtained from interparticle potential calculations, the fluidity of concentrated suspension is improved by the use of comb‐type polymers having shorter grafted chain length. The dispersion mechanism of comb‐type polymers in a concentrated suspension is evaluated from the perspective of molecular structure, the amount of adsorbed polymer, and the amount of entrapped water in the clusters of CaCO3 particles. Furthermore, the addition of certain soluble salts, which can effect the concentration of Ca2+ in liquid phase of CaCO3 suspensions, has been observed to decrease the adsorption of comb‐type polymers on CaCO3. Thus, the polymer adsorption process on solid surfaces can be selectively influenced by certain types of ions.  相似文献

Poly(N-vinylimidazole) (PVI) was synthesized by the precipitation polymerization using 2,2’-azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN; initiator) and benzene (solvent) at two different monomer/initiator ratios. The solution polymerization was also performed with the following initiator/solvent systems: AIBN/water–methanol mixture (1:1 by volume) and 4,4’-azobis(4-cyanovaleric acid)/aqueous HCl solution (pH 0.8). All the four preparations of PVI in ethanol and in 0.2 M NaCl (pH 3 with HCl) were examined by dynamic light scattering (DLS). The CONTIN analysis of DLS data for each preparation from the solution polymerization showed a unimodal distribution in both ethanol and aqueous solvents. A good agreement was obtained between the molar masses in these different solvents by static light scattering (SLS). However, the polymers from the precipitation polymerization exhibited a heterogeneous bimodal distribution in DLS under the same conditions as above, indicating that the SLS data as in reference [6] (Savin et al. Macromolecules 37:6565) cause a serious error in the understanding of solution behavior of PVI.  相似文献

Glass ampoule breakage during the freeze-drying process was prevented by the addition of sodium chloride to the formulation of lyophilization products of sodium thiopental. In order to clarify the ampoule breakage prevention mechanism, the physicochemical behavior of the freeze-drying process was monitored by simultaneous XRD-DSC measurements and thermal mechanical analysis (TMA). During the freezing process of formulated solution, the smaller heat of fusion of crystallized ice with the addition of sodium chloride was observed in comparison to that without sodium chloride. Although a greater amorphous portion remained, a higher crystal habit of hexagonal ice was reproducibly observed in the XRD patterns with the addition of sodium chloride during the freezing process. In the measurement of TMA, the scattering of the thermal expansion rate of formulated solution was significantly reduced by the addition of sodium chloride. These observations indicated that the addition of sodium chloride minimized the scattering of the thermal expansion rate and might be a cause for the inhibition of glass ampoule breakage during the freeze-drying process.  相似文献

Clustered DNA damage sites induced by ionizing radiation have been suggested to have serious consequences to organisms, such as cancer, due to their reduced probability to be repaired by the enzymatic repair machinery of the cell. Although experimental results have revealed that clustered DNA damage sites effectively retard the efficient function of repair enzymes, it remains unclear as to what particular factors influence this retardation. In this study, approaches based on molecular dynamics (MD) simulation have been applied to examine conformational changes and energetic properties of DNA molecules containing clustered damage sites consisting of two lesioned sites, namely 7,8-dihydro-8-oxoguanine (8-oxoG) and apurinic/apyrimidinic (AP) site, located within a few base pairs of each other. After 1 ns of MD simulation, one of the six DNA molecules containing a clustered damage site develops specific characteristic features: sharp bending at the lesioned site and weakening or complete loss of electrostatic interaction energy between 8-oxoG and bases located on the complementary strand. From these results it is suggested that these changes would make it difficult for the repair enzyme to bind to the lesions within the clustered damage site and thereby result in a reduction of its repair capacity.  相似文献
