The purpose of this paper is to describe asymptotic formulas for determinants of certain operators that are analogues of Wiener–Hopf operators. The determinant formulas yield information about the distribution functions for certain random variables that arise in random matrix theory when one rescales at the edge of the spectrum.  相似文献

We report on the strong coupling between a Tamm plasmon mode and excitons from inorganic quantum wells. The sample is formed by an AlAs/GaAlAs Bragg reflector containing InGaAs QWs in its high refractive index layers, on top of which a thin silver film is deposited. Angle resolved reflectometry experiments at low temperature (77 K) show a clear anticrossing in the dispersion relations, evidencing the strong coupling regime. The Rabi splitting amounts to 11.5 meV. Emission from low and high energy Tamm plasmon/exciton polaritons is also demonstrated. Experimental data are in very good agreement with transfer matrix simulations.  相似文献

In addition to its high thermal stability, repetitive hydration/dehydration tests have revealed that the porous zirconium terephthalate UiO‐66 switches reversibly between its dehydroxylated and hydroxylated versions. The structure of its dehydroxylated form has thus been elucidated by coupling molecular simulations and X‐ray powder diffraction data. Infrared measurements have shown that relatively weak acid sites are available while microcalorimetry combined with Monte Carlo simulations emphasize moderate interactions between the UiO‐66 surface and a wide range of guest molecules including CH4, CO, and CO2. These properties, in conjunction with its significant adsorption capacity, make UiO‐66 of interest for its further evaluation for CO2 recovery in industrial applications. This global approach suggests a strategy for the evaluation of metal–organic frameworks for gas‐based applications.  相似文献

Four metal–organic frameworks (MOF) with tetravalent uranium have been solvothermally synthesized by treating UCl4 with rigid dicarboxylate linkers in N,N‐dimethylfomamide (DMF). The use of the ditopic ligands 4,4′‐biphenyldicarboxylate ( 1 ), 2,6‐naphthalenedicarboxylate ( 2 ), terephthalate ( 3 ), and fumarate ( 4 ) resulted in the formation of three‐dimensional networks based on the hexanuclear uranium‐centered motif [U6O4(OH)4(H2O)6]. This motif corresponds to an octahedral configuration of uranium nodes and is also known for thorium in crystalline solids. The atomic arrangement of this specific building unit with organic linkers is similar to that found in the zirconium‐based porous compounds of the UiO‐66/67 series. The structure of [U6O4(OH)4(H2O)6(L)6] ? X (L=dicarboxylate ligand; X=DMF) shows the inorganic hexamers connected in a face‐centered cubic manner through the ditopic linkers to build up a three‐dimensional framework that delimits octahedral (from 5.4 Å for 4 up to 14.0 Å for 1 ) and tetrahedral cavities. The four compounds have been characterized by using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis (or powder diffraction analysis for 4 ). The tetravalent state of uranium has been examined by using XPS and solid‐state UV/Vis analyses. The measurement of the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area indicated very low values (Langmuir <300 m2 g?1 for 1 , <7 m2 g?1 for 2 – 4 ) and showed that the structures are quite unstable upon removal of the encapsulated DMF solvent.  相似文献

Carbon monoxide readily binds to heme and copper proteins, acting as a competitive inhibitor of dioxygen. As such, CO serves as a probe of protein metal active sites. In our ongoing efforts to mimic the active site of cytochrome c oxidase, reactivity toward carbon monoxide offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the binding and spectroscopic characteristics of synthetic model compounds. In this paper, we report the synthesis and characterization of CO-adducts of ((5/6)L)Fe(II), [((5/6)L)Fe(II)...Cu(I)](B(C(6)F(5))(4)), and [(TMPA)Cu(I)(CH(3)CN)](B(C(6)F(5))(4)), where TMPA = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine and (5/6)L = a tetraarylporphyrinate tethered in either the 5-position ((5)L) or 6-position ((6)L) to a TMPA copper binding moiety. Reaction of ((5/6)L)Fe(II) [in THF (293 K): UV-vis 424 (Soret), 543-544 nm; (1)H NMR delta(pyrrole) 52-59 ppm (4 peaks); (2)H NMR (from ((5)L-d(8))Fe(II)) delta(pyrrole) 53.3, 54.5, 55.8, 56.4 ppm] with CO in solution at RT yielded ((5/6)L)Fe(II)-CO [in THF (293 K): UV-vis 413-414 (Soret), 532-533 nm; IR nu(CO)(Fe) 1976-1978 cm(-1); (1)H NMR delta(pyrrole) 8.8 ppm; (2)H NMR (from ((5)L-d(8))Fe(II)-CO) delta(pyrrole) 8.9 ppm; (13)C NMR delta((CO)Fe) 206.8-207.1 ppm (2 peaks)]. Experiments repeated in acetonitrile, acetone, toluene, and dichloromethane showed similar spectroscopic data. Binding of CO resulted in a change from five-coordinate, high-spin Fe(II) to six-coordinate, low-spin Fe(II), as evidenced by the upfield shift of the pyrrole resonances to the diamagnetic region ((1)H and (2)H NMR spectra). Addition of CO to [((5/6)L)Fe(II)...Cu(I)](B(C(6)F(5))(4)) [in THF (293 K): UV-vis ((6)L only) 424 (Soret), 546 nm; (1)H NMR delta(pyrrole) 54-59 ppm (multiple peaks); (2)H NMR (from [((5)L-d(8))Fe(II).Cu(I)](B(C(6)F(5))(4))) delta(pyrrole) 53.4 ppm (br)] gave the bis-carbonyl adduct [((5/6)L)Fe(II)-CO...Cu(I)-CO](B(C(6)F(5))(4)) [in THF (293 K): UV-vis ((6)L only) 413 (Soret), 532 nm; IR nu(CO)(Fe) 1971-1973 cm(-1), nu(CO)(Cu) 2091-2093 cm(-1), approximately 2070(sh) cm(-1); (1)H NMR delta(pyrrole) 8.7-8.9 ppm; (2)H NMR (from [((5)L-d(8))Fe(II)-CO...Cu(I)-CO](B(C(6)F(5))(4))) delta(pyrrole) 8.9 ppm; (13)C NMR delta((CO)Fe) 206.8-208.1 ppm (2 peaks), delta((CO)Cu) 172.4 ((5)L), 178.2 ((6)L) ppm]. Experiments in acetonitrile, acetone, and toluene exhibited spectral features similar to those reported. The [((5/6)L)Fe(II)-CO.Cu(I)-CO](B(C(6)F(5))(4)) compounds yielded (CO)(Fe) spectra analogous to those seen for ((5/6)L)Fe(II)-CO and (CO)(Cu) spectra similar to those seen for [(TMPA)Cu(I)-CO](B(C(6)F(5))(4)) [in THF (293 K): IR nu(CO)(Cu) 2091 cm(-1), approximately 2070(sh) cm(-1); (13)C NMR delta((CO)Cu) 180.3 ppm]. Additional IR studies were performed in which the [((5)L)Fe(II)-CO...Cu(I)-CO](B(C(6)F(5))(4)) in solution was bubbled with argon in an attempt to generate the iron-only mono-carbonyl [((5)L)Fe(II)-CO.Cu(I)](B(C(6)F(5))(4)) species; in coordinating solvent or with axial base present, decreases in characteristic IR-band intensities revealed complete loss of CO from copper and variable loss of CO from the heme.  相似文献

New alkyl ether carboxylates with a glyceryl spacer instead of ethylene glycol units have been synthesised using environmentally friendly methodology. A cascade synthesis of acetalisation and hydrogenolysis was developed to obtain products containing an alkyl chain linked to a glycerol unit bearing a polar carboxylate head. These products were methylated by using trimethyl phosphate to observe the influence of a free or methoxylated alcohol on the physicochemical properties. Finally, saponification gave the carboxylate anionic group of the new hydrotropes. Studying the amphiphilicity, the tolerance to sodium and calcium ions, and the solubilising power of these bio-based ionic/nonionic hydrotropes has shown that they exhibit significantly improved application properties compared to similar petro-based hydrotropes.  相似文献
