Completely ab initio global potential energy surfaces (PESs) for the singlet and triplet spin multiplicities of rigid O(2)((3)Σ(g)(-))+O(2)((3)Σ(g)(-)) are reported for the first time. They have been obtained by combining an accurate restricted coupled cluster theory with singles, doubles, and perturbative triple excitations [RCCSD(T)] quintet potential [Bartolomei et al., J. Chem. Phys. 128, 214304 (2008)] with complete active space second order perturbation theory (CASPT2) or, alternatively, multireference configuration interaction (MRCI) calculations of the singlet-quintet and triplet-quintet splittings. Spherical harmonic expansions, containing a large number of terms due to the high anisotropy of the interaction, have been built from the ab initio data. The radial coefficients of these expansions are matched at long range distances with analytical functions based on recent ab initio calculations of the electric properties of the monomers [M. Bartolomei, E. Carmona-Novillo, M. I. Hernández, J. Campos-Martínez, and R. Hernández-Lamoneda, J. Comput. Chem. (2010) (in press)]. The singlet and triplet PESs obtained from either RCCSD(T)-CASPT2 or RCCSD(T)-MRCI calculations are quite similar, although quantitative differences appear in specific terms of the expansion. CASPT2 calculations are the ones giving rise to larger splittings and more attractive interactions, particularly in the region of the absolute minima (in the rectangular D(2h) geometry). The new singlet, triplet, and quintet PESs are tested against second virial coefficient B(T) data and, their spherically averaged components, against integral cross sections measured with rotationally hot effusive beams. Both types of multiconfigurational approaches provide quite similar results, which, in turn, are in good agreement with the measurements. It is found that discrepancies with the experiments could be removed if the PESs were slightly more attractive. In this regard, the most attractive RCCSD(T)-CASPT2 PESs perform slightly better than the RCCSD(T)-MRCI counterpart.  相似文献

Exhaled breath contains thousands of gaseous volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that may be used as non-invasive markers of head and neck epidermoid cancer. We hypothesized that solid phase micro-extraction coupled to gas chromatography–mass spectrometry can discriminate patients with epidermoid head and neck cancer from healthy controls by analyzing the gaseous volatile organic compounds, VOC-profile, in exhaled breath, thus identifying some non-invasive biomarkers to be used in early detection. Twenty healthy subjects participated in a cross-sectional study plus 11 patients with epidermoid supraglottic laryngeal cancer. VOCs from T3 supraglottic cancer were clustered distinctly from those of T1 and healthy subjects. Up to seven VOCs were detected differently from healthy volunteers, mainly 2-butanone and ethanol. Thus VOC-patterns of exhaled breath may discriminate patients with epidermoid head and neck cancer from healthy controls.  相似文献

Capillary electrophoresis coupled to orthogonal accelerated time-of-flight mass spectrometry (CE/TOFMS) was used for the analysis of O- and N-glycopeptides of recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO). O(126) and N(83) with a tetraantennary complex type glycan (N(83)-4Ant) were selected as glycopeptide models to develop an optimum CE/TOFMS methodology capable of detecting and characterizing the wide variety of glycopeptides present in the glycoprotein digest. Glycopeptide adsorption in the inner surface of the fused-silica capillary was prevented after using a capillary conditioning of 1 M HAc between runs. On the other hand, different acidic conditions in the sheath liquid (SL) and in the background electrolyte (BGE) were tested with the aim of studying their influence in glycopeptide fragmentation. Finally, the fragmentor voltage value of the TOF-MS instrument was optimized to avoid the involuntary fragmentation of the native glycopeptides. Hence, the established method may be regarded as an excellent starting point to obtain reliable glycopeptide maps of complex glycoproteins such as rhEPO by CE/TOFMS.  相似文献

First‐principles calculations are used to investigate the electronic properties of negatively charged n‐pyrrole oligomers with n = 2–18. Chains of neutral oligomers are bent, whereas the negatively charged oligomers become almost planar due to accumulation of negative charge at the end monomers. Isomers of short oligomers (n < 6) display negative electron affinity although the corresponding anions are energetically stable. For longer oligomers with n ≥ 6, the electron affinity is small and positive, slowly increasing with oligopyrrole length. Doping of 12‐pyrrole with lithium atoms shows that negative oxidation states are possible due to electron transfer from dopant to oligomer at locations close to dopant. These 12‐pyrrole regions support extra negative charge and exhibit a local structural change from benzenoid to quinoid structure in the C? C backbone conjugation. Comparison between neutral and doped polypyrrole (PPy) indicates that doped polymers displays a substantial depletion of the band gap energy and the appearance of dopant‐based bands in the gap for a 50% per monomer doping level. A method for depth sensing based on sensing the visibility associated with the coherence function of a laser source is presented. The setup is based on an electronic speckle pattern interferometric (ESPI) setup, where the object depth is encoded into the amplitude of the interference pattern without the need for depth scanning. After performing phase-shifting method, the object three-dimensional (3-D) shape is reconstructed by means as a range image from the visibility of the image set of interferograms and where each gray level represents a given object depth. Experimental results validate the proposed approach for reflective diffuse objects at different measurement distances.  相似文献

Novel biomaterials are needed for bone tissue repair with improved mechanical performance compared to classical bioceramics. The objective of this work was to characterize a hybrid filler material, which is capable to coat as a thin film porous scaffolds improving their mechanical properties for bone tissue engineering. The hybrid filler material is a blend of chitosan and silica network formed through in situ sol–gel using tetraethylortosilicate and 3‐glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS) as silica precursors. The hypothesis was that the epoxy ring of GPTMS could react with the amino groups of chitosan in acidic media while it is also reacting the siloxane groups of hydrolyzed silica precursors. The formation of the hybrid organic–inorganic network was assessed by different physical techniques revealing changes in molecular mobility and hydrophilicity upon chemical reaction.
