Oxidation of 2-dialkylaminomethyl-4,6-di-tert-butylphenols

Oxidative transformations of 2-dialkylaminomethyl-4,6-di-tert-butylphenols depend on the nature of the oxidant, the character of the substituents at the nitrogen atom, and the medium. A mechanism of the oxidation of these compounds is suggested. The molecular structure of the compound obtained as a result of oxidative trimerization of 2-dimethylaminomethyl-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol was established by X-ray structural analysis. Investigation of the reduction of methylenequinones by methods of polarography and EPR spectroscopy

Synthesis and structure of 5-hydrazino- and 5-hydroxyamino-3-aryl-2-pyrazolines and-2-isoxazolines

It was established by the methods of ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy that the oximohydrazones and bis(hydrazones) of aroylacetic aldehydes exist in the form of the corresponding 5-hydrazino- and 5-hydroxyamino-3-aryl-2-pyrazolines and -2-isoxazolines. The features of the aromatization of these compounds to the corresponding pyrazoles and isoxazoles were studied. Pulse radiolysis study of I− oxidation with radical anions Cl2 ⋅− in an aqueous solution

Radiation-chemical transformations of chloride solutions in the presence of iodide additives were studied by pulse radiolysis. Radical anion Cl₂ ^⋅− oxidize I⁻ ion, while in the secondary reactions Cl₂ reacts with I⁻ to form a mixed trihalide ion ICl₂ ⁻. Aqueous Solutions of Colloidal Ruthenium: the Radiation–Chemical Preparation and Optical Absorption

The radiation-chemical reduction of Ru(III) is studied in aqueous RuCl₃ solutions containing isopropyl alcohol. In the presence of sodium polyacrylate, the stable sols of metal are formed with spherical particles 4–8 nm in diameter. The optical spectrum of nanoparticles is characterized by an increasing absorption in the UV spectral region with no maximum (₂₀₀ = 7.2 × 1030 l mol^–1 cm^–1). The colloids of ruthenium in an aqueous solution are stable in the open air.
