Ion/molecule reactions between O=P(OCH(3))(2)(+) phosphonium ions and six aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, naphthalene, acenaphthylene and fluorene) were performed in a quadrupole ion trap mass spectrometer. The O=P(OCH(3))(2)(+) phosphonium ions, formed by electron impact from neutral trimethyl phosphite, were found to react with aromatic hydrocarbons (ArHs) to give (i) an adduct [ArH, O=P(OCH(3))(2)](+) and (ii) for ArHs which have an ionization energy below or equal to 8.14 eV, a radical cation ArH(+ *) by charge transfer reaction. Collision-induced dissociation experiments, which produce fragment ions other than the O=P(OCH(3))(2)(+) ions, indicate that the adduct ions are covalent species. Isotope-labeled ArHs were used to elucidate fragmentation mechanisms. The charge transfer reactions were investigated using density functional theory at the B3LYP/6-311 + G(3df,2p)//B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level of theory. The potential energy surface obtained from B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) calculations for the reaction between O=P(OCH(3))(2)(+) and benzene is described. 相似文献
Two homoleptic Re(I) complexes of ortho and para-carborane isocyanide ligands were prepared as the first examples of a new class of metal-based BNCT and BNCS agents. The target compounds were prepared in low yield through the reaction of [Re2(O2CPh)4Cl2] and [Re2(OAc)4Cl2] with 3-isocyano-1,2-dicarba-closo-dodecaborane and a para-carborane azetidine derivative respectively. The desired product from the latter reaction was characterized crystallographically and is only the second reported molecular structure of a homoleptic Re(I) isonitrile complex. 相似文献

[reaction: see text] Three one-pot methods for the conversion of aldehydes to homoallyl ethers catalyzed by Bi(OTf)(3).xH(2)O (1 < x < 4) have been developed. The one-pot synthesis of homoallyl ethers can be achieved either by in situ generation of the acetal followed by its reaction with allyltrialkylsilane or by a three-component synthesis in which the aldehyde, trimethylorthoformate or an alkoxytrimethylsilane and allyltrimethylsilane are mixed together in the presence of bismuth triflate (0.1-1.0 mol %). In addition, a three-component synthesis of homoallyl acetates, which is achieved by reacting the aldehyde, acetic anhydride, and allyltrimethylsilane in the presence of bismuth triflate (3.0-5.0 mol %), has been developed. The use of a relatively nontoxic, easy to handle, and inexpensive catalyst adds to the versatility of these methods. 相似文献

A mixed culture was enriched from surface soil obtained from an eastern United States site highly contaminated with chromate. Growth of the culture was inhibited by a chromium concentration of 12 mg/L. Another mixed culture was enriched from subsurface soil obtained from the Hanford reservation, at the fringe of a chromate plume. The enrichment medium was minimal salts solution augmented with acetate as the carbon source, nitrate as the terminal electron acceptor, and various levels of chromate. This mixed culture exhibited chromate tolerance, but not chromate reduction capability, when growing anaerobically on this medium. However, this culture did exhibit chromate reduction capability when growing anaerobically on TSB. Growth of this culture was not inhibited by a chromium concentration of 12 mg/L. Mixed cultures exhibited decreasing diversity with increasing levels of chromate in the enrichment medium. An in situ bioremediation strategy is suggested for chromate contaminated soil and groundwater.
The propagation of perturbations in liquid filled elastic tubes depends on the stream velocity of the basic flow. This phenomenon is currently analyzed with the method of the characteristics which relies upon a basic flow with a rectangular velocity profile. It seems that this one-dimensional flow approximation has not been convincingly validated, which justifies to consider other, more general velocity profiles. In the present analytical study the velocity profile is a quadratic function of the radial coordinate. Small amplitude perturbations are superposed on this inviscid, basic state in which the mean velocity is arbitrarily large. A normal mode analysis shows that the velocity profile and therefore the vorticity of the basic flow influence the more the phenomenon the larger is. For example, a parabolic profile allows countercurrent wave propagation regardless of.This questions the one-dimensional wave propagation theory in compliant tubes and, consequently, the interpretation of several physiological and medical problems mainly in the respiratory and cardio-vascular systems.
