Specific features of the electronic structure and spin magnetic state of iron atoms in bi-, tri-, and hexanuclear iron trimethylacetate
complexes were studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. A correlation was found between the ionicity (of the spin state
of iron atoms) and Fe3s binding energies, exchange splitting of the final photoionization state, and the energy position and intensity of charge-transfer
satellites. Nonequivalent iron states were identified in tri- and hexanuclear complexes. The overall magnetic moment of the
complexes was found to decrease with an increase of the individual magnetic moments of iron atoms, which is evidence of complicated

It is well known that, in the plane, the boundary of any quadrature domain (in the classical sense) coincides with the zero set of a polynomial. We show, by explicitly constructing some four-dimensional examples, that this is not always the case. This confirms, in dimension 4, a conjecture of the second author. A dynamical model of fission fragment angular distributions is developed. The experimental data on the angular anisotropy of fission fragments is analyzed for the 16O + 208Pb, 232Th, 238U, and 248Cm reactions at energies of the incident 16O ions ranging from 90 to 160 MeV. This analysis allows us to extract the relaxation time for the tilting mode. It was also demonstrated that the angular distributions are sensitive to the deformation dependence of the nuclear friction.

The reaction of the tetranuclear cluster Pd4(CO)4(OOCCF3)4 witho-nitrosotoluene afforded the Pd11-containing complex [o-(NO)(CH2)C6H4]2Pd2(μ-OOCCF3)2. The elimination of CO2 and the formation of organic products of transformation of tolylnitrene species (azotoluene, ditolylamine, and tolylisocyanate)
were observed in the course of the reaction. The title complex was characterized by IR and1H NMR spectroscopy. Its structure was established by X-ray diffraction analysis. It was suggested that the reaction proceeds
through intermediate formation of nitrene complexes.
