We synthesized superconducting fullerene nanowhiskers (C(60)NWs) by potassium (K) intercalation. They showed large superconducting volume fractions, as high as 80%. The superconducting transition temperature at 17 K was independent of the K content (x) in the range between 1.6 and 6.0 in K-doped C(60) nanowhiskers (K(x)C(60)NWs), while the superconducting volume fractions changed with x. The highest shielding fraction of a full shielding volume was observed in the material of K(3.3)C(60)NW by heating at 200 °C. On the other hand, that of a K-doped fullerene (K-C(60)) crystal was less than 1%. We report the superconducting behaviors of our newly synthesized K(x)C(60)NWs in comparison to those of K(x)C(60) crystals, which show superconductivity at 19 K in K(3)C(60). The lattice structures are also discussed, based on the x-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses.  相似文献

Free energy profile of a pair of cholesterol molecules in a leaflet of 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-phosphatidylcholine (POPC) bilayers in the liquid-crystalline phase has been calculated as a function of their lateral distance using a combination of NPT-constant atomistic molecular dynamics calculations (P = 1 atm and T = 310.15 K) and the thermodynamic integration method. The calculated free energy clearly shows that the two cholesterol molecules form a dimer separated by a distance of 1.0-1.5 nm in POPC bilayers. Well depth of the free energy profile is about 3.5 kJ/mol, which is comparable to the thermal energy k(B)T at 310.15 K. This indicates that the aggregation of cholesterol molecules in the bilayers depends on the temperature as well as the concentration of the system. The free energy function obtained here may be used as a reference when coarse grained potential model is investigated for this two-component system. Local structure of POPC molecules around two cholesterol molecules has also been investigated.  相似文献

Synthesis and radical ring-opening polymerization of vinylcyclopropane bearing six-membered cyclic acetal moiety, 1-vinyl-4,8-dioxaspiro[2.5]octane (1), were carried out. 1 was prepared by the reaction of 1,1-dichloro-2-vinylcyclopropane and 1,3-propanediol in DMF in the presence of a base. Radical polymerization of 1 was carried out in the presence of an appropriate initiator (3 mol % vs. 1) at 60 and 120°C in degassed sealed ampoules for 20 h. A colorless transparent viscous polymer was obtained by the isolation with preparative HPLC. The structure of poly(1) was determined to consist of two 1,5-ring-opened units and a unit bearing no olefinic moiety. The difference of the activation energies for the ring-opening reaction of the cyclopropane ring calculated by the molecular orbital method could explain the selectivity in the direction of the cleavage of the cyclopropane ring. Acid hydrolysis of poly(1) afforded the corresponding polyketone in quantitative conversion. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Band gap photoluminescence (PL) behaviors of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) grown by the methods of chemical vapor deposition and pulsed-laser vaporization are investigated over the wide diameter range (≈0.8–1.4 nm). The peak intensity of the PL signals strongly depends on chirality and the ‘(2n + m) family type’ of SWNTs. Based on the PL results, a population analysis of these SWNTs is conducted by combining the calculated PL yields for each (nm) tube. The results are directly compared with the histograms of diameter distributions estimated by the transmission electron microscope (TEM) observations to check the validity of the analysis.  相似文献

Ofloxacin, fenbufen and its active metabolite, felbinac, were simultaneously extracted from 50 microliters of rat plasma and analysed by high-performance liquid chromatography on a reversed-phase column. Quantitative and reproducible determinations were possible for ofloxacin, fenbufen and felbinac over the concentration ranges 0.15-40, 0.3-80 and 0.45-45 micrograms/ml, respectively. The detection limits for all the drugs were lower than those reported previously. The recovery of ofloxacin, fenbufen and felbinac added to plasma was nearly 100% with a coefficient of variation of less than 3.0%. This method was found to be applicable to pharmacokinetic studies of each drug after the concomitant administration of ofloxacin and fenbufen.  相似文献
