The selectivity factor in the separation of lanthanide could be associated with the coordination behaviour. Thus, we observed the study in the solid phase to understand the coordination pattern of Ln(III) with the 18-crown-6 (18C6) ligand. Good selectivity of the rigid 18C6 ligand toward Ln(III) depends on gradually smaller their ionic radii of Ln(III) in the complexes formation in the presence of picrate anion (Pic), i.e. lanthanide contraction and steric effects as clearly shown in the series of [Ln(Pic)2(18C6)]+(Pic) {Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd} and [Ln(Pic)3(OH2)3] · 2(18C6) · 4H2O {Ln = Tb, Ho} complexes. The La-Gd complexes crystallized in an orthorhombic with space group Pbca, while the Ho complex crystallized in triclinic with space group . The lighter lanthanides complexes [La-Sm] had a 10-coordination number from the 18C6 ligand and the two picrates, forming a bicapped square-antiprismatic geometry. Meanwhile, the middle lanthanide complex [Gd] had a nine-coordination number from the 18C6 ligand and the two picrates, forming a tricapped trigonal prismatic geometry. The heavier lanthanide [Ho] is rather unique, since Ho(III) coordinated with nine oxygen atoms from three picrates and three water molecules in the opposite direction whereas three 18C6 molecules surrounded in the inner coordination sphere, forming a trigonal tricapped prismatic geometry. The 18C6 ligand is effective in controlling the molecular geometry and coordination bonding of Ln-O and can use a crystal engineering approach. No dissociation of Ln-O bonds in solution was observed in NMR studies conducted at different temperatures. The photoluminescence spectrum of the Pr complex has typical 4f-4f emission transitions, i.e. 3P0 → 3F2 (650 nm), 1D2 → 3F2 (830 nm) and 1D2 → 3F4 (950 nm).  相似文献

Two new isostructural complexes of europium picrate (Eu-Pic) with pentaethylene glycol (EO5) and 18-crown-6 (18C6) ligands formed complexes of molecular formula [Eu(Pic)2(18C6)]+(Pic)I and [Eu(Pic)2(EO5)]+(Pic)II have been isolated and characterised. Compound I showed 10-coordination number through six oxygen atoms from the 18C6 ligand and two bidentate picrate anions. Meanwhile, compound II exhibited 9-coordination number via six oxygen atoms from EO5 ligand, two oxygen atoms from a bidentate and one oxygen atom from monodentate picrate anions. Photoluminescence (PL) spectra of the solid-state europium complexes display sharp lines which are assigned to 5D07F0-4 and 5D17F1,2,4 transitions. No emission of polyether ligands is observed, indicating that the energy transfer from the polyether ligands to the Eu3+ ion is quite efficient. The PL spectra of [Eu(Pic)2(OH2)6]+(Pic)·6H2O III, [Eu(NO3)3(OH2)3]·(18C6) IV, [Eu(NO3)3·6H2O] V and Eu2O3VI are also observed. Compounds I-IV exhibited high Ω2 intensity parameter values, namely 16.93, 10.23, 17.10 and 12.35 (in units of 10−20 cm2), respectively. These relatively high values reflect the hypersensitive behaviour of the 5D07F2 transition and indicate that the Eu3+ ion is located in a highly polarisable chemical environment.  相似文献

The assessment of food intake is essential for the development of dietetic interventions. Accuracy is low when intake is assessed by questionnaires, the under‐reporting of food intake being frequent. Most such studies, however, were performed in developed countries and there is little data about the older population of developing nations. This study aimed to verify the total energy expenditure (TEE) of independent older Brazilians living in an urban area, through the doubly labelled water (DLW) method and to compare it with the reported energy intake obtained through the application of a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ). Initially, 100 volunteers aged from 60 to 75 years had their body composition determined by dual‐energy X‐ray absorptiometry (DEXA). Five volunteers of each quartile of body fat percentage had their energy expenditure determined by DLW. The mean age of the subjects included in this phase of the study was 66.4 ± 3.5 years, and ten of the subjects were men. The mean TEE was 2565 ± 614 and 2154 ± 339 kcal.day?1 for men and women, respectively. The Physical Activity Level (PAL) was 1.58 ± 0.31 and 1.52 ± 0.22, respectively. Under‐reporting of food intake was highly prevalent, with a mean percentage of reported intake in relation to measured TEE of ?17.7%. Thus, under‐reporting of food intake is highly prevalent among Brazilian independent older persons. The title compound, [Dy(NO3)3(bipy)2], is isostructural with the La, Pr, Nd, Eu and Lu analogues where bipy=2, 2′-bipyridyl. The Dy complex was crystallized in orthorhombic with space group Pbcn. The Dy(III) ion was coordinated with the two bipy ligands and three nitrate anions giving a ten coordination number. Measurements of the molar conductance in ethanol and water solutions indicate that the complex is non-electrolyte. A comparative study of the emission of [Dy(NO3)3(bipy)2] complex with those of the adduct mixture of bipy and Dy at a 1:1 ratio, has been investigated. In the solid state, photoluminescence (PL) spectrum of the complex had sharp emission bands corresponding to the 4F9/26H15/2 (476.5 and 482 nm), 4F9/26H13/2(572.6 and 573.8 nm), 4F9/26H11/2 (661.6 nm) and 4H3/26H15/2 (961.0 nm) transitions. The hypersensitive peak of the complex has the yellow emission stronger than the blue emission in the solid state as well as in the solution. The complex has a good thermal stability due to the role of π-π interactions stacking.  相似文献

A mononuclear Sm(III) complex involving Pic and EO4 (where Pic=picrate anion and EO4=tetraethylene glycol) has been studied. It shows a bright-orange emission when used as active material in a monolayer electroluminescent device of ITO/EO4-Sm-Pic/Al. The crystal structure of the complex consists of [Sm(Pic)2(H2O)(EO4)]+ cation and [Pic] anion. The Sm(III) ion is coordinated with nine oxygen atoms from one EO4 ligand in a pentadentate mode, two Pic anions each in bidentate and monodentate modes, and one water molecule. Both the terminal alcohol groups of the acyclic EO4 ligand were involved in the O-H…O hydrogen bonding by infinite one-dimensional (1D) chain within a symmetry direction [0 1 0]. The photoluminescence (PL) spectrum of the thin film shows the typical spectral features of the Sm(III) ion (4G5/26H7/2 transitions). The root-mean-square (rms) of the roughness of thin film is 30.605 nm and indicates that the formation of the monolayer electroluminescent device is not uniform and retains a high crystallinity. Typical semiconductor current-voltage (I-V) property was also observed in this device with threshold and turn voltages of 2.8 and 6.2 V, respectively. The [Sm(Pic)2(H2O)(EO4)](Pic)·H2O complex can be applied as a luminescent center in OLED for bright-orange emission.  相似文献
