Using simple physical arguments, a local spin-polarized exchange potential, Vxσ, is constructed from the single-particle Hartree–Fock (HF ) potentials (generalized Slater method) that reduces to the usual Kohn–Sham (KS ) result in the uniform gas limit. Numerical results for 10 closed subshell atoms demonstrate that the total energy calculated employing this Vxσ is closer to the exact KS results than those of other standard exchange approximations with electron densities and highest occupied orbital eigenvalues that closely approximate the HF results.  相似文献

A pulsed molecular beam Fourier transform microwave spectrometer especially designed for the quantitative analysis of polar pollutants in air is presented. Abstract Comparative fluorescence and photochemical studies of phytochrome in etiolated seedlings of maize and in soluble and membrane-containing fractions isolated from them were camed out. The membrane fractions prepared in the absence of Mg2+ from etiolated coleoptiles contained 13% of total photoreversible phytochrome, which was readily solubilized by mild detergents. Its molecular size was indistinguishable from soluble phytochrome and equal to nondegraded maize phytochrome. Low-temperature fluorescence studies with intact tissue found that the position of the emission maximum at 85 K (λmax) and the extent of the phototransformation of the red-absorbing form (Pr) into the first stable photoproduct, lumi-R, at 85 K (γ1), varied in different parts of etiolated seedlings: λmax and γ1 reached their maximum values in the tips of coleoptiles and roots, 686 nm and 0.30–0.40, whereas the lowest values, 682 nm and ca 0.05, were observed in the root base. These parameters correlated well with those obtained for the pigment in the soluble and membrane-containing fractions: 684 and 680 nm, and 0.33 and 0.06, respectively. The extent of the Pr phototransformation into the far red-absorbing form (Pfr) (γ2) did not differ much: values of 0.80–0.85 and 0.70–0.75 correlated with the high and low values of γ1. These variations of the parameters were interpreted in agreement with our previous observations in terms of two phytochrome A species whose relative concentrations vary depending on the experimental conditions—the longer wavelength bulk light-labile species with high γ1 (Pr″), and the shorter wavelength minor light-stable species with low γ1 (Pr″). Close similarity between Pr’and the soluble phytochrome and between Pr″ and the membrane-bound phytochrome points to the possible origin of the native Pr’and PrPrime; species, thus providing evidence for the existence of membrane-bound pigment in the cell.  相似文献

Glycine and proline residues are frequently found in turn and loop structures of proteins and are believed to play an important role during chain compaction early in folding. We investigated their effect on the dynamics of intrachain loop formation in various unstructured polypeptide chains. Loop formation is significantly slower around trans prolyl peptide bonds and faster around glycine residues compared to any other amino acid. However, short loops are formed fastest around cis prolyl bonds with a time constant of 6 ns for end-to-end contact formation in a four-residue loop. Formation of short loops encounters activation energies in the range of 15 to 30 kJ/mol. The altered dynamics around glycine and trans prolyl bonds can be mainly ascribed to their effects on the activation energy. The fast dynamics around cis prolyl bonds, in contrast, originate in a higher Arrhenius pre-exponential factor, which compensates for an increased activation energy for loop formation compared to trans isomers. All-atom simulations of proline-containing peptides indicate that the conformational space for cis prolyl isomers is largely restricted compared to trans isomers. This leads to decreased average end-to-end distances and to a smaller loss in conformational entropy upon loop formation in cis isomers. The results further show that glycine and proline residues only influence formation of short loops containing between 2 and 10 residues, which is the typical loop size in native proteins. Formation of larger loops is not affected by the presence of a single glycine or proline residue.  相似文献

Schulze has developed a framework for a pseudodifferential calculus on B by defining various classes of distribution spaces and operator algebras, working in fixed coordinates on the manifold . I am showing here that the Mellin Sobolev spaces without asymptotics, the cone algebra without asymptotics, and its ideal of smoothing operators are independent of the choice of coordinates and therefore may be considered intrinsic objects for manifolds with conical singularities.  相似文献

We prove the surjectivity of the symbol map of the Frechet algebra obtained by completing an algebra of convolution and multiplication operators in the topology generated by all L2-Sobolev norms. The proof is based on an n of Egorov's theorem valid for non-homogeneous principal symbols, discussed in [5], [6]. We use the hyperbolic equation u/t=i|D|u, 0<<1, which has its characteristic flow constant at infinity, so that no differentiability of the symbol is required there.  相似文献

The inclusion complexation of methyl (5-(propylthio)-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl) carbamate, albendazole (ABZ) with 2-hydroxypropyl--cyclodextrin (HPCD) in water was investigated with a view to improving the low aqueous solubility of the drug. The combination of albendazole and HPCD in a molar ratio of 1/10 resulted in a significant increase in the aqeous solublity of the drug, up to 3500 times. Albendazole/HPCD complexes could be recommended as a parenterally administered formulation because of its good solubility properties and the safety of the cyclodextrin used.  相似文献

Enamines 8a-e could be chlorinated by equimolar amounts of N-chlorosuccinimide (9) generating monochloroenamines 10a-e; 10a and 10d were isolated as pure substances. Two equivalents of 9 afforded the dichloroenamines 12a,c from 8a,c. Interaction of the chlorinated enamines 10a-e and 12a,c with cyanide gave morpholino-azabicyclohexane derivatives. 10a-d, thereby, led to exo-cyano-isomers lla-c; 12a,c generated endo-cyano compounds 13a,c. In the case of the ethoxycarbonylated chloroenamine 10e a mixture of diastereomeric products 11e and 14e resulted from the analogous reaction. Reduction of 11a and 14e with lithium aluminum hydride produced a pair of diastereomeric triamines 15 and 16. A tricyclic diazasystem 19 was formed from the reaction of cyanide with the carbamoylated chloroenamine 18. Monochloroenamine 10a and dichloroenamine 12a showed a significant mutagenic behaviour in the Ames test.  相似文献
