Polyfunctional additives to oils, based on sulfonated oligomers

Studies in the field of development of polymeric oligoalkenesulfonate additives derived from sulfonated oligomers and exhibiting multifunctional effect when added to petroleum oils are summarized.     

Ratio of Protein Fractions in Cereal Grains Cultivated in Uzbekistan

The glutelin fraction was used as the food value index of local corn. The base-soluble fraction was used as a test of the glassiness of local strains of rice grain. The content of gliadins and glutelins did not change over 24 h after wheat grain cultivated in Uzbekistan was moistened.     

Dynamics of nanodefects on a loaded gold surface

The dynamics of defects with linear dimensions from ≈1 to ≈100 nm on a Au surface under load have been studied by means of tunnelling microscopy. It is found that the origin, growth, and resorption of the defects is caused by displacements of bands of material from 5 to 50 nm wide, parallel to the {111} slip planes. The defects can be separated into two groups: nonsteady-state defects, whose lifetime does not exceed 15 min, while the depth is ⩽20 nm, and quasi-steady-state defects, with a lifetime three orders of magnitude greater than the first. It is assumed that the nonsteady-state defects are formed when the ensemble of dislocations is being reconstructed, while the quasi-steady-state defects are formed at the instant of formation of dislocation substructures during the creep of the loaded metal. Ammonium sulfatophosphate producing from the phosphorites of Central Kyzylkum

The necessity of using sulfur-containig fertilizers in agricultural production is evidenced. By neutralizaation with gaseous amonia of a mixture of extractive phosphoric and sulfuric acids the ammonium sulfatophosphates are produced, containing nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur in various ratio. The regimes for producing them are described and material flows in the industrial manufacturing are given.     

Thermochemistry of potassium morpholinodithiocarbamate

Results of thermochemical studies of a new compound, potassium morpholinodithiocarbamate, are presented. The enthalpies of its solution in water at various dilutions and the specific heat at 173–348 K were examined by the experimental methods of isothermal and dynamic calorimetry.     

Thermodynamic properties of ferrites of composition GdMIIFe2O5.5 (MII = Mg, Ca, Sr)

Ferrites with the composition GdM^IIFe₂O_5.5 (M^II = Mg, Ca, Sr) were synthesized from the corresponding oxides by the solid-phase method. The temperature dependence of the specific heat was studied by dynamic calorimetry in the temperature range 298.15 673 K. Equations describing this temperature dependence were derived. The temperature dependences of the thermodynamic functions were calculated.
