The Boehringer-Ingelheim phosphinoimidazoline (BIPI) ligands were applied to the formation of chiral quaternary centers in the asymmetric Heck reaction. Several different substrates were examined in detail, using more than 70 members of this new ligand class. Hammett relationships were determined through systematic variation of the ligand electronics. All substrates showed essentially the same Hammett behavior, where enantioselectivity increased as the ligands were made more electron-deficient. Ligand optimization has led to catalysts which give the highest enantioselectivities reported to date for these difficult systems.  相似文献

Volatile sulphur compounds (VSCs) and particularly hydrogen sulphide are considered as the predominant gases causing oral malodour. In this paper, a simple alarm sensor has been developed for VSCs determination in mouth air. The device consists of a glass tube packed with a solid sensing phase. The VSCs react with the sensing phase to produce a change in the colour of the sensor visible with a naked eye.Different “reagents” were investigated to develop the sensing phase (neocuproine + Cu(II), bathocuproine + Cu(II), resazurin, 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol and lead acetate), finding the neocuproine + Cu(II) as the best for our purposes. Also, different substrates such as Amberlite XAD-4 and XAD-7 and different trademarks of silica gel were tested as solid supports, being selected the silica gel.A device consisting of a glass tube packed with the sensing phase was optimized and tested with halitosis patients as a rapid illness test and the results compared with those obtained with a commercially available instrument, the Halimeter™, used for the determination of VSCs in mouth air. The results exhibited acceptable agreement between the proposed “qualitative” alarm sensor and a commercially available technique selected as reference, showing the possibility of using this “visual sensor” to control the halitosis and its evolution with an eventual treatment, by the own patient.  相似文献

The applicability of glass chips with powder-blasted microchannels for electrophoretic separations was examined, and the performance was compared to microchannels etched with hydrogen fluoride (HF), using bicarbonate buffer and rhodamine B and fluorescein as model compounds. The measured electroosmotic mobilities in all chips were comparable, with values of ca. 7 x 10(-4) cm(2) V(-1)s(-1). The effect of electrical field strength and detection length on the separation efficiency was monitored. It was found that the main source of dispersion is of the Taylor-Aris type, which was discussed in relation to channel roughness differences. Although in powder-blasted channels with a separation length of 8.20 cm, 7-9 times lower plate numbers were obtained than in a HF-etched channel with similar dimensions, successful separation of five fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-labeled amino acids was obtained on a powder-blasted chip within 80 s. Efficiencies of up to 360 000 plates/m were demonstrated on this chip, when a higher buffer concentration was used at a field strength of 664 V/cm. It can be concluded that powder-blasted microchannel chips, although they have a lower separation efficiency compared to HF-etched chips, perform well enough for many applications. Powder blasting can therefore be considered a low-cost and efficient alternative to HF etching, in particular because of the possibility to fabricate access holes through the glass with the same process.  相似文献

Recently, the authors studied the connection between each maximal monotone operator and a family of convex functions. Each member of this family characterizes the operator and satisfies two particular inequalities.

The aim of this paper is to establish the converse of the latter fact. Namely, that every convex function satisfying those two particular inequalities is associated to a unique maximal monotone operator.

Under some nondegeneracy conditions we give asymptotic formulae for the stability parameter of a family of singular-limit Hill's equation which depends on three parameters. We use the blow-up techniques introduced in [R. Martínez, A. Samà, C. Simó, Analysis of the stability of a family of singular-limit linear periodic systems in R4. Applications, J. Differential Equations 226 (2006) 652-686]. The main contribution of this paper concerns the study of the nondegeneracy conditions. We give a geometrical interpretation of them, in terms of heteroclinic orbits for some related systems. In this way one can determine values of the parameters such that the nondegeneracy conditions are satisfied. As a motivation and application we consider the vertical stability of homographic solutions in the three-body problem.  相似文献

The feasibility of using mixtures of C4 and C5 chain-length aliphatic alcohols from fusel oil as the bulk organic media for lipase-mediated synthesis of laurate esters was assessed. Reaction mixtures consisted of lauric acid, lipase, solvent (if added), and appropriate amount of fusel oil (previously dehydrated with inorganic salts and molecular sieves). The influence of the reaction conditions such as substrate concentrations and temperature were investigated. Increased molar ratio of acyl donor to acyl acceptor allowed the esterification to proceed with no need for solvent addition.  相似文献
