The aim of this work was to determine the content of selected heavy metals in flax materials depending on the stage of fiber manufacturing. Non-treated natural fiber composition was compared with that of fibers processed. Changes in the composition of yarn before and after the following scutching, hackling, washing, and bleaching were also investigated. Analysis of heavy metals was performed applying inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Flax material was mineralized in closed Teflon vials with a mixture of concentrated nitric acid which were then placed in a microwave oven system. Analytical quality of the obtained results was checked by the determination of elements in the Certificate Reference Materials of IAEA-V-10. The acquired results proved that the content of metals in flax clearly varies depending on the treatment process applied (bleaching, washing, coloration). Significant differences were also connected with the dye used. Propionic acid bacteria are the source of many metabolites, e.g., propionic acid and trehalose. Compared to microbiological synthesis, the production of these metabolites by petrochemical means or enzymatic conversion is more profitable. The components of microbiological media account for a large part of the costs associated with propionic fermentation, due to the high nutritional requirements of Propionibacterium. This problem can be overcome by formulating a medium based on the by-products of technological processes, which can act as nutritional sources and at the same time replace expensive laboratory preparations (e.g., peptone and yeast extract). The metabolic activity of P. freudenreichii was investigated in two different breeding environments: in a medium containing peptone, yeast extract, and biotin, and in a waste-based medium consisting of only apple pomace and potato wastewater. The highest production of propionic acid amounting to 14.54 g/L was obtained in the medium containing apple pomace and pure laboratory supplements with a yield of 0.44 g/g. Importantly, the acid production parameters in the waste medium reached almost the same level (12.71 g/L, 0.42 g/g) as the medium containing pure supplements. Acetic acid synthesis was more efficient in the waste medium; it was also characterized by a higher level of accumulated trehalose (59.8 mg/g d.s.). Thus, the obtained results show that P. freudenreichii bacteria exhibited relatively high metabolic activity in an environment with apple pomace used as a carbon source and potato wastewater used as a nitrogen source. This method of propioniate production could be cheaper and more sustainable than the chemical manner.  相似文献

This article describes the results of a study of Cu/Ni multilayer coatings applied on a monocrystalline Si(100) silicon substrate by the deposition magnetron sputtering technique. Composed of 100 bilayers each, the multilayers were differentiated by the Ni sublayer thickness (1.2 to 3 nm), while maintaining the constant Cu sublayer thickness (2 nm). The multilayer coatings were characterized by assessing their surface topography using atomic force microscopy and their mechanical properties with nano-hardness measurements by the Berkovich method. The tests showed that the hardness of multilayers was substantially influenced by the thickness ratio of Cu and Ni sublayers and by surface roughness. The highest hardness and, at the same time, the lowest roughness was exhibited by a multilayer structure with a Cu-to-Ni sublayer thickness ratio of 2:1.5.  相似文献

The enantiomers of 1-phenylethylamine were phosphorylated with diethyl chlorophosphate/Et(3)N and then Boc-protected (Boc=tert-butoxycarbonyl) at the nitrogen atom. These phosphoramidates were metalated by using sBuLi/N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA) to give alpha-aminobenzyllithiums that isomerised to alpha-aminophosphonates in yields of up to 80 % with retention of the configuration at the carbon atom. The intermediate tertiary organolithiums were found to be microscopically configurationally stable from -78 to 0 degrees C in Et(2)O. The protected alpha-aminophosphonates were deblocked by using boiling 6 M HCl or preferably Me(3)SiBr/(allyl)SiMe(3). When the Boc group was replaced by the diethoxyphosphinyl group, the alpha-aminobenzyllithium intermediate partially enantiomerised even at -78 degrees C and rearranged to yield an alpha-aminophosphonate with 50 % ee (ee=enantiomeric excess). Similarly, N-Boc-protected phosphoramidates derived from racemates and/or enantiomers of 1-(1-naphthyl)ethyl-, 1-indanyl- and 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1-naphthylamine or 1-azidoindan- and 1-azido-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene were converted to aminophosphonates in good yields. Deblocking gave alpha-aminophosphonic acids of excellent enantiomeric excess (97-99 %), as determined by means of HPLC on a chiral ion-exchange stationary phase based on quinine carbamate. When racemic Boc-protected diethyl phosphoramidate derived from 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1-naphthylamine was metalated with LiTMP/TMEDA (TMP=2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine), 1-hydroxyethylphosphonamidates resulted. The configuration of the main isomer was determined by means of a single-crystal X-ray structure analysis.  相似文献

In this work, we present a novel chemiluminescence (CL) method based on direct-injection detector (DID) integrated with the multi-pumping flow system (MPFS) to chemiluminescence determination of the total polyphenol index. In this flow system, the sample and the reagents are injected directly into the cone-shaped detection cell placed in front of the photomultiplier window. Such construction of the detection chamber allows for fast measurement of the CL signal in stopped-flow conditions immediately after mixing the reagents. The proposed DID-CL-MPFS method is based on the chemiluminescence of nanocolloidal manganese(IV)-hexametaphosphate-ethanol system. The application of ethanol as a sensitizer, eliminated the use of carcinogenic formaldehyde. Under the optimized experimental conditions, the chemiluminescence intensities are proportional to the concentration of gallic acid in the range from 5 to 350 ng mL−1. The DID-CL-MPFS method offers a number of advantages, including low limit of detection (0.80 ng mL−1), high precision (RSD = 3.3%) and high sample throughput (144 samples h−1) as well as low consumption of reagents, energy and low waste generation. The proposed method has been successfully applied to determine the total polyphenol index (expressed as gallic acid equivalent) in a variety of plant-derived food samples (wine, tea, coffee, fruit and vegetable juices, herbs, spices).  相似文献

We employ the self-consistent-charge density-functional tight-binding (SCC-DFTB) method for computing geometric, electronic, and vibrational properties for various topological isomers of small fullerenes. We consider all 35 five- and six-member rings containing isomers of small fullerenes, C20, C24, C26, C28, C30, C32, C34, and C36, as first part of a larger effort to catalog CC distance distributions, valence CCC angle distributions, electronic densities of states (DOSs), vibrational densities of states (VDOSs), and infrared (IR) and Raman spectra for fullerenes C20-C180. Common features among the fullerenes are identified and properties characteristic for each specific fullerene isomer are discussed.  相似文献
