Structural, electrical and magnetic measurements, as well as electron spin resonance (ESR) spectra, were used to characterise the single-crystalline CuCr1.6V0.4Se4 spinel and study the correlation between the negative magnetoresistance effect and magnon excitations. We established the ferromagnetic order below the Curie temperature T C ≈ 193 K, a p-type semiconducting behaviour, the ESR change from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic resonance at T C, a large ESR linewidth value and its temperature dependence in the paramagnetic region. Electrical studies revealed negative magnetoresistance, which can be enhanced with increasing magnetic field and decreasing temperature, while a detailed thermopower analysis showed magnon excitations at low temperatures. Spin–phonon coupling is explained within the framework of a complex model of paramagnetic relaxation processes as a several-stage relaxation process in which the V3+ ions, the exchange subsystem and conduction electron subsystem act as the intermediate reservoirs. 相似文献

Low-field microwave absorption has been measured as a function of magnetic field in a series of thin film structures exhibiting or not exhibiting the giant magnetoresistance effect (GMR). We measured the fluorescence intensity and anisotropy decays of 1,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene (DPH)-labeled membranes resulting from simultaneous two-photon excitation of fluorescence. Comparison of these two-photon data with the more usual one-photon measurements revealed that DPH displayed identical intensity decays, anisotropy decays, and order parameters for one- and two-photon excitation. While the anisotropy data are numerically distinct, they can be compared by use of the factor 10/7, which accounts for the two-photon versus one-photon photoselection. The increased time 0 anisotropy of DPH can result in increased resolution of complex anisotropy decays. Global analysis of the one- and two-photon data reveals consistency with a single apparent angle between the absorption and the emission oscillators. The global anisotropy analysis also suggests that, except for the photoselection factor, the anisotropy decays are the same for one-and two-photon excitation. This ideal behavior of DPH as a two-photon absorber, and its high two-photon cross section, makes DPH a potential probe for confocal two-photon microscopy and other systems where it is advantageous to use long-wavelength (680- to 760-nm) excitation. 相似文献

Phase transitions of tetra(isopropylammonium)decachlorotricadmate(II) [(CH3)2CHNH3]4Cd3Cl10 crystal have been studied by infrared, far infrared and Raman measurements in wide temperature range, between 11 K and 388 K. The temperature changes of wavenumber, center of gravity, width and intensity of the bands were analyzed to clarify cationic and anionic contributions to the phase transitions mechanism. The results of investigation showed earlier by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermal expansion and dielectric measurements clearly confirmed the sequence of phase transitions at T1=353 K, T2=294 K and T3=260 K. The current results derived from DSC and infrared measurements revealed additional phase transition at T4=120 K. 相似文献

An intrinsic contribution to the spin Hall effect in two‐dimensional silicene is considered theoretically within the linear response theory and Green's function formalism. When an external voltage normal to the silicene plane is applied, the spin Hall conductivity is shown to reveal a transition from the spin Hall insulator phase at low bias to the conventional insulator phase at higher voltages. This transition resembles the recently reported phase transition in bilayer graphene. The spin–orbit interaction responsible for this transition in silicene is much stronger than in graphene, which should make the transition observable experimentally. Geometrical methods of feature extraction from ear images in order to perform human identification are presented. Geometrical
approach is motivated by the actual procedures used by police and forensic experts (so-called ear otoscopy). In their work,
geometrical features of ears such as size, height, width, and shapes of earlobe are useful and valid proofs of identity. The
contribution of the article is development of the new and original methods of geometrical feature extraction from 2D ear images.
Four novel algorithms of ear feature extraction from contour images are described in detail. Moreover, identification results

In this paper we point out some possible links between different approaches to quantum gravity and theories of the Planck scale physics. In particular, connections between loop quantum gravity, causal dynamical triangulations, Ho?ava–Lifshitz gravity, asymptotic safety scenario, Quantum Graphity, deformations of relativistic symmetries and nonlinear phase space models are discussed. The main focus is on quantum deformations of the Hypersurface Deformations Algebra and Poincaré algebra, nonlinear structure of phase space, the running dimension of spacetime and nontrivial phase diagram of quantum gravity. We present an attempt to arrange the observed relations in the form of a graph, highlighting different aspects of quantum gravity. The analysis is performed in the spirit of a mind map, which represents the architectural approach to the studied theory, being a natural way to describe the properties of a complex system. We hope that the constructed graphs (maps) will turn out to be helpful in uncovering the global picture of quantum gravity as a particular complex system and serve as a useful guide for the researchers. 相似文献
