In this work, our purpose is to show how the symmetry of identical particles can influence the time evolution of free particles in the nonrelativistic and relativistic domains as well as in the scattering by a potential δ-barrier. For this goal, we consider a system of either two distinguishable or indistinguishable (bosons and fermions) particles. Two sets of initial conditions have been studied: different initial locations with the same momenta, and the same locations with different momenta. The flight time distribution of particles arriving at a ‘screen’ is calculated in each case from the density and flux. Fermions display broader distributions as compared with either distinguishable particles or bosons, leading to earlier and later arrivals for all the cases analyzed here. The symmetry of the wave function seems to speed up or slow down the propagation of particles. Due to the cross terms, certain initial conditions lead to bimodality in the fermionic case. Within the nonrelativistic domain, and when the short-time survival probability is analyzed, if the cross term becomes important, one finds that the decay of the overlap of fermions is faster than for distinguishable particles which in turn is faster than for bosons. These results are of interest in the short time limit since they imply that the well-known quantum Zeno effect would be stronger for bosons than for fermions. Fermions also arrive earlier and later than bosons when they are scattered by a δ-barrier. Although the particle symmetry does affect the mean tunneling flight time, in the limit of narrow in momentum initial Gaussian wave functions, the mean times are not affected by symmetry but tend to the phase time for distinguishable particles.  相似文献

A CE method for metacycline (MTC) determination was investigated in an inter-laboratory experiment. Many problems were encountered in this study, most of which were related to the transfer of the method to different CE equipment. The reported problems could be classified into different categories: problems related to the precision, to the parameters in the protocol, and to the MTC peak shape. As the peak shape problem was partially responsible for the poor precision, a new CE method was developed in order to obtain a good MTC peak shape on all equipment. The precision of this new method for MTC determination was examined in an intermediate precision study, where the influence of the factors "time" and "equipment" was investigated. Although the new method could be transferred to different instruments, the precision remained poor mainly due to the contributions of the between-replicate and the between-injection variances.  相似文献

The main chromophore of (6‐4) photoproducts, namely, 5‐methyl‐2‐pyrimidone (Pyo), is an artificial noncanonical nucleobase. This chromophore has recently been reported as a potential photosensitizer that induces triplet damage in thymine DNA. In this study, we investigate the spectroscopic properties of the Pyo unit embedded in DNA by means of explicit solvent molecular‐dynamics simulations coupled to time‐dependent DFT and quantum‐mechanics/molecular‐mechanics techniques. Triplet‐state transfer from the Pyo to the thymine unit was monitored in B‐DNA by probing the propensity of this photoactive pyrimidine analogue to induce a Dexter‐type triplet photosensitization and subsequent DNA damage.  相似文献

New non‐fouling tubes are developed and their influence on the adhesion of neuroproteins is studied. Recombinant prion proteins are considered as a single component representative of hydrophobic proteins. Samples are stored for 24 h at 4 °C in tubes coated with two different coatings: poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) as a hydrophilic surface and a plasma‐fluorinated coating as a hydrophobic one. The protein adhesion is monitored by ELISA tests, XPS and confocal microscopy. It appears that the highest recovery of recombinant prion protein in the liquid phase is obtained with the hydrophilic surface while the hydrophobic character of the storage tube induces an important amount of biological loss. However, the recovery is not complete even for tubes coated with poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide).

Peculiar properties of ion-atom collision systems, in particular deviations from statistical populations of singlet and triplet levels, can be studied by optical spectroscopy. We have extended earlier studies by VUV spectroscopy of a number of collision systems at various collision energies in the 0.01-MeV/nucleon to 1-MeV/nucleon range, involving H2 +, H+, He+, He2+, Ne+, Ar+, and N2 + as projectiles and Ne, Ar, and N2 as target gases. Statistically significant deviations of the relative intensities of singlet and triplet lines from simple ratios are observed in the displaced terms of the valence shell of Ne III, corroborating and extending earlier work. For Ar III, the energy dependences of singlet-to-triplet excitation ratios are very different for different projectiles. For N II, in contrast, all observed line ratios are practically independent of the projectile energy. Received 17 November 2000 and Received in final form 31 January 2001  相似文献

In this paper we study the resource-constrained project scheduling problem with weighted earliness–tardinesss penalty costs. Project activities are assumed to have a known deterministic due date, a unit earliness as well as a unit tardiness penalty cost and constant renewable resource requirements. The objective is to schedule the activities in order to minimize the total weighted earliness–tardinesss penalty cost of the project subject to the finish–start precedence constraints and the constant renewable resource availability constraints. With these features the problem becomes highly attractive in just-in-time environments.We introduce a depth-first branch-and-bound algorithm which makes use of extra precedence relations to resolve resource conflicts and relies on a fast recursive search algorithm for the unconstrained weighted earliness–tardinesss problem to compute lower bounds. The procedure has been coded in Visual C++, version 4.0 under Windows NT. Both the recursive search algorithm and the branch-and-bound procedure have been validated on a randomly generated problem set.  相似文献

Genista monspessulana (L.) L.A.S. Johnson (Fabaceae) is a Mediterranean plant introduced to South America and other regions for ornamental purposes. However, it is considered an invasive shrub due to its reproductive vigor in many areas. Unlike other Genista plants, G. monspessulana has few studies disclosing its biologically active components, particularly cytotoxic agents against cancer cells. Thus, as part of our research on anti-proliferative bioactives, a set of ethanolic seed extracts from ten accessions of G. monspessulana, collected in the Bogotá plateau, were evaluated against four cell lines: PC-3 (prostate adenocarcinoma), SiHa (cervical carcinoma), A549 (lung carcinoma), and L929 (normal mouse fibroblasts). Extracts were also analyzed through liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC/MS) to record chemical fingerprints and determine the composition and metabolite variability between accessions. Using multiple covariate statistics, chemical and bioactivity datasets were integrated to recognize patterns and identify bioactive compounds among studied extracts. G. monspessulana seed-derived extracts exhibited dose-dependent antiproliferative activity on PC-3 and SiHa cell lines (>500 µg/mL < IC50 < 26.3 µg/mL). Seven compounds (1–7) were inferred as the compounds most likely responsible for the observed anti-proliferative activity and subsequently isolated and identified by spectroscopic techniques. A tricyclic quinolizidine (1) and a pyranoisoflavone (2) were found to be the most active compounds, exhibiting selectivity against PC-3 cell lines (IC50 < 18.6 µM). These compounds were used as precursors to obtain a quinolizidine-pyranoisoflavone adduct via Betti reaction, improving the activity against PC-3 and comparable to curcumin as the positive control. Results indicated that this composition–activity associative approach is advantageous to finding those bioactive principles efficiently within active extracts. This correlative association can be employed in further studies focused on the targeted isolation of anti-proliferative compounds from Genista plants and accessions.  相似文献

Excitation functions of the reactions 12, 13C+48Ti and 30Si+30Si were measured by in-beam γ-ray spectrometry in the energy ranges 20–60 MeV for the 12, 13C induced reactions and 55–126 MeV for the 30Si+30Si reaction. Light-particle angular distributions were measured at 46 MeV and 47.5 MeV for the 13C and 12C induced reactions. Measurements of elastic scattering angular distribution and particle-γ coincidences were carried out for the system 13C+48Ti at 46 MeV. The limitation to complete fusion detected for the system 30Si+30Si appears to be related to entrance channel effects and is well reproduced by a barrier penetration calculation using the KNS potential. The angular distribution measurements carried out for the 12C+48Ti and 13C+48Ti systems allowed to identify an incomplete fusion mechanism with emission of direct α-particles before the formation of a fully equilibrated system.  相似文献
