We analyze the power spectrum of a regular binary thermal lattice gas in two dimensions and derive a Landau–Placzek formula, describing the power spectrum in the long-wavelength, low frequency domain, for both the full mixture and a single component in the binary mixture. The theoretical results are compared with simulations performed on this model and show a perfect agreement. The power spectrums are found to be similar in structure as the ones obtained for the continuous theory, in which the central peak is a complicated superposition of entropy and concentration contributions, due to the coupling of the fluctuations in these quantities. Spectra based on the relative difference between both components have in general additional Brillouin peaks as a consequence of the equipartition failure. 相似文献

The separation of pentanol isomer mixtures is shown to be very efficient using the nanoporous adsorbent zeolitic imidazolate framework ZIF‐77. Through molecular simulations, we demonstrate that this material achieves a complete separation of linear from monobranched—and these from dibranched—isomers. Remarkably, the adsorption and diffusion behaviors follow the same decreasing trend, produced by the channel size of ZIF‐77 and the guest shape. This separation based on molecular branching applies to alkanes and alcohols and promises to encompass numerous other functional groups. 相似文献

We have developed a computational framework for the adsorption of linear alkanes in protonated aluminosilicates. These zeolites contain trace amounts of water that form hydrated proton complexes. The presence of hydrated protons makes the simulations at the fully atomistic level difficult. Instead of constructing an elaborate and complex model, we show that an approach based on a coarse-graining of the proton-complex accurately describes the available experimental isotherms, Henry coefficients, heats of adsorption, and oxygen-proton distances. Our approach is supported by MP2 quantum mechanical simulations. The model gives remarkably good agreement with experimental data beyond the initial calibration set. 相似文献

We apply the dynamically corrected transition state theory to confinements with complex structures. This method is able to compute self-diffusion coefficients for adsorbate-adsorbent systems far beyond the time scales accessible to molecular dynamics. Two example cage/window-type confinements are examined: ethane in ERI- and CHA-type zeolites. In ERI-type zeolites, each hop in the z direction is preceded by a hop in xy direction and diffusion is anisotropic. The lattice for CHA-type zeolite is a rhombohedral Bravais lattice, and diffusion can be considered isotropic in practice. The anisotropic behavior of ERI-type cages reverses with loading, i.e., at low loading the diffusion in the z direction is two times faster than in the xy direction, while for higher loadings this changes to a z diffusivity that is more than two times slower. At low loading the diffusion is impeded by the eight-ring windows, i.e., the exits out of the cage to the next, but at higher loadings the barrier is formed by the center of the cages. 相似文献

In this paper the forced vibrations of a linear, single degree of freedom oscillator (sdofo) with a time-varying mass will be studied. The forced vibrations are due to small masses which are periodically hitting and leaving the oscillator with different velocities. Since these small masses stay for some time on the oscillator surface the effective mass of the oscillator will periodically vary in time. Additionally, an external harmonic force will be applied to the oscillator with a time-varying mass. Not only solutions of the oscillator equation will be constructed, but also stability properties for the forced vibrations will be presented for various parameter values. 相似文献

A new kind of chiral dienophiles, cyclic vinyl-p-tolylsulfilimines (2a and 2b), were obtained from the corresponding (Z)-sulfinylacrylonitriles with HBF(4) and methanol. The asymmetric Diels-Alder reaction of optically pure 2a with cyclopentadiene under mild thermal or catalyzed conditions afforded only the endo-4a adduct with complete endo and pi-facial selectivities.
