A first-principles study has been performed to evaluate the structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of Zn(12)O(12) clusters doped with one or two Mn atoms. The substitutional, exohedral, and endohedral dopings are taken into account. For the monodoped clusters, the substitutional isomer is most energetically favorable, and an exohedral isomer may appear as a low-lying metastable state. All isomers present 5 mu(B) magnetic moment that is mainly contributed by the Mn-3d component. For the bidoped clusters, the antiferromagnetic state is degenerate with the ferromagnetic state at larger Mn-Mn distance (>5 A), while it is more energetically favorable at smaller Mn-Mn distance. Thus, the cohesion of bidoped isomer is sensitive to the magnetic coupling or chemical bonding. The endohedral bidoped isomer is found to be a stable local minimum, and the direct Mn-Mn interaction causes the reduction of local magnetic moment of Mn to about 4 mu(B). 相似文献

A series of large, rigid, new, well-defined, D-pi-B-A compounds with three chromophores (truxene moieties at the core, conjugated oligothiophenes as the branch bridges, and [60]pyrrolidinofullerene (C60) segments as the end-capped groups) have been facilely developed in this contribution. Oligothiophene-functionalized truxene derivatives 1-29 are prepared by the Suzuki, the Sonogashira, and the Negishi cross-coupling reactions catalyzed by Pd(PPh3)4 as well as the McMurry reaction, respectively. The 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of the oligomers with C60 and N-methylglycine yields a new family of star-shaped D-pi-B-A derivatives end-capped with pyrrolidinofullerene moieties as the active materials for photovoltaic devices in which one, two, three, or four C60 moieties are allocated at the peripheral position of well-defined compounds, respectively. We also investigate the UV-vis and photoluminescence behaviors of these pyrrolidinofullerene-functionalized derivatives. The emission is obviously quenched after the inducement of the C60 moieties. The setting up process in a nanoscale bearing has been modeled by molecular dynamics simulation. Contrary to the prediction from the classical Reynolds' theory, simulation results show that the load capacity of the nanoscale bearing does not increase monotonically with the operation speed. This is attributed to the change of the local shear rate, which will decrease with the shear velocity of the bearing as the shear velocity exceeds a critical value, i.e., the local shear rate has an upper limit. A simple nonlinear dynamic model indicates that the momentum exchange between the liquid and the solid wall is reduced with the shear velocity when the shear velocity is above a critical value. The weak momentum exchange results in a decrease of the local shear rate, which in turn causes a sharp increase of the slip length. 相似文献

A liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS) method was developed and validated for the assay of glucosamine sulfate in human plasma. Plasma proteins were precipitated by acetonitrile, followed by vortex mixing and centrifugation. The supernatant was transferred and derivatized with phenyl iso-thiocyanate in acetonitrile at 60 degrees C for 40 min. Chromatographic separation was performed on a C(18) column (Inertsil ODS-3 150 x 2.1 mm i.d., 5 microm, JP) with a mobile phase gradient consisting of 0.2% acetic acid (aqueous) and methanol at a flow-rate of 0.3 mL/min. MS detection using electrospray ionization (ESI) as an interface was used in single ion monitoring mode to determine positive ions at m/z 297. This method was shown to be selective and sensitive for glucosamine sulfate. The limit of detection was 35 ng/mL for glucosamine sulfate in plasma and the linear range was 0.1-20 microg/mL in plasma with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.9991. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) of intra-day and inter-day assays were 8.7-11.4 and 9.8-12.6%, respectively. Extraction recoveries of glucosamine sulfate in plasma were greater than 73%. This method proved to be simple, reproducible and feasible for pharmacokinetic studies of glucosamine sulfate in healthy volunteers after a single oral administration (1500 mg). The pharmacokinetic parameters and relative bioavailabilities were investigated for both domestic glucosamine sulfate tablet and capsule preparations compared with an imported capsule product. 相似文献

An inclined spray chamber with four multiple nozzles to cool a 1 kW 6U electronic test card has been designed and tested in this study. The multiple inclined sprays can cover the same heated surface area as that with the multiple normal sprays but halve the volume of the spray chamber. The spray cooling system used R134a as a working fluid in a modified refrigeration cycle. It is observed that increasing mass flow rate and pressure drop across the nozzles improved the heat transfer coefficient with a maximum enhancement of 117 %, and reduced the maximum temperature difference at the heated surface from 13.8 to 8.4 °C in the inclined spray chamber with a heat flux of 5.25 W/cm2, while the heat transfer coefficient of the normal spray increased with a maximum enhancement of 215 % and the maximum temperature difference decreased from 10.8 to 5.4 °C under similar operating conditions. We conclude that the multiple inclined sprays could produce a higher heat transfer coefficient but with an increase in non-uniformity of the surface temperature compared with the multiple normal sprays. 相似文献

Magnetic and optical properties of ZnO co-doped with transition metal and carbon have been investigated using density functional theory based on first-principles ultrasoft pseudopoten-tial method. Upon co-doping with transition metal (TM) and carbon, the calculated results show a shift in the Fermi level and a remarkable change in the covalency of ZnO. Such cases energetically favor ferromagnetic semiconductor with high Curie temperature due to p-d exchange interaction between TM ions and holes induced by C doping. The total en-ergy difference between the ferromagnetic and the antiferromagnetic configurations, spatial charge and spin density, which determine the magnetic ordering, were calculated in co-doped systems for further analysis of magnetic properties. It was also discovered that optical prop-erties in the higher energy region remain relatively unchanged while those at the low energyregion are changed after the co-doping. These changes of optical properties are qualitatively explained based on the calculated electronic structure. The validity of our calculation in comparison with other theoretical predictions will further motivate the experimental inves-tigation of (TM, C) co-doped ZnO diluted magnetic semiconductors. 相似文献
