Evidence for access of molecules the size of acetone or pyridine to the intracrystalline tunnels of nanofibre clay (sepiolite) has indicated formation of a new type of organic–inorganic nanocomposites. However, the introduction of larger molecules has been a recurring problem. It is now agreed that for indigo, the molecules are located on the external surface and at the ends of the fibres, thus blocking access to internal tunnels. We claim, however, that it is possible for indigo molecules to access the internal channels of sepiolite. FTIR and XRD analyses have provided evidence for folding of the sepiolite structure preheated at high temperature (above 350 °C). By comparison, we have shown that for indigo/sepiolite mixtures treated in the same conditions, no change in the crystalline structure of the sepiolite is observed, and that blue samples, related to Maya blue, with indigo molecules incorporated deeply enough into sepiolite to prevent folding of the tunnels, can be obtained. NMR, FTIR and thermal analysis confirm the interaction of indigo with the water coordinated to magnesium(II) and located inside the internal and external channels of sepiolite. Two other hypotheses are excluded; we show both that zeolitic water is not blocked in the tunnels by indigo, and that if thermal decomposition products of indigo can be formed, they are in a minority.  相似文献

Scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) is a powerful technique for performing quantitative measurements at a local scale. This paper covers the development of combinations of SECM with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM). Basic aspects are described and potential applications reported by several research groups are covered. The unique advantages of the coupled techniques—with additional information being obtained from each coupling—are also discussed.  相似文献

The conformational compositions of the tris(α‐methoxy‐α‐phenylacetic acid) ester derivatives of 1,2,3‐prim,sec,sec‐triols are presented. These conformations have been determined by theoretical and experimental data (i.e., energy‐ and chemical‐shift calculations, circular dichroism (CD) experiments, coupling‐constant analysis, enantioselective deuteration experiments, and low‐temperature NMR spectroscopic studies). A detailed analysis of the anisotropic effects due to the most significant conformers in the 1H NMR spectra supported the correlation between the 1H NMR spectra (ΔδRS value of H(3′) and |Δ(ΔδRS)| parameters) and the absolute configuration of the substrate. The study also allows the identification of the proR and pro‐S methylene protons from their vicinal coupling constants and relative chemical shifts.  相似文献

A new dual luminescent sensitive paint for barometric pressure and temperature (T) is presented. The green‐emitting iridium(III) complex [Ir(ppy)2(carbac)] (ppy=2‐phenylpyridine; carbac=1‐(9H‐carbazol‐9‐yl)‐5,5‐dimethylhexane‐2,4‐dione) was applied as a novel probe for T along with the red‐emitting complex [Ir(btpy)3], (btpy=2‐(benzo[b]thiophene‐2‐yl)pyridine) which functions as a barometric (in fact oxygen‐sensitive) probe. Both iridium complexes were dissolved in different polymer materials to achieve optimal responses. The probe [Ir(ppy)2(carbac)] was dispersed in gas‐blocking poly(acrylonitrile) microparticles in order to suppress any quenching of its luminescence by oxygen. The barometric probe [Ir(btpy)3], in turn, was incorporated in a cellulose acetate butyrate film which exhibits good permeability for oxygen. The effects of temperature on the response of the oxygen probe can be corrected by simultaneous optical determination of T, as the poly(acrylonitrile) microparticles containing the temperature indicator are incorporated into the film. The phosphorescent signals of the probes for T and barometric pressure, respectively, can be separated by optical filters due to the ≈75 nm difference in their emission maxima. The dual sensor is applicable to luminescence lifetime imaging of T and barometric pressure. It is the first luminescent dual sensor material for barometric pressure/T based exclusively on the use of IrIII complexes in combination with luminescence lifetime imaging.  相似文献

Treatment of Ln(NO3)3?nH2O with 1 or 2 equiv 2,2′‐bipyrimidine (BPM) in dry THF readily afforded the monometallic complexes [Ln(NO3)3(bpm)2] (Ln=Eu, Gd, Dy, Tm) or [Ln(NO3)3(bpm)2]?THF (Ln=Eu, Tb, Er, Yb) after recrystallization from MeOH or THF, respectively. Reactions with nitrate salts of the larger lanthanide ions (Ln=Ce, Nd, Sm) yielded one of two distinct monometallic complexes, depending on the recrystallization solvent: [Ln(NO3)3(bpm)2]?THF (Ln=Nd, Sm) from THF, or [Ln(NO3)3(bpm)(MeOH)2]?MeOH (Ln=Ce, Nd, Sm) from MeOH. Treatment of UO2(NO3)2?6H2O with 1 equiv BPM in THF afforded the monoadduct [UO2(NO3)2(bpm)] after recrystallization from MeOH. The complexes were characterized by their crystal structure. Solid‐state luminescence measurements on these monometallic complexes showed that BPM is an efficient sensitizer of the luminescence of both the lanthanide and the uranyl ions emitting visible light, as well as of the YbIII ion emitting in the near‐IR. For Tb, Dy, Eu, and Yb complexes, energy transfer was quite efficient, resulting in quantum yields of 80.0, 5.1, 70.0, and 0.8 %, respectively. All these complexes in the solid state were stable in air.  相似文献

EBC‐23, 24, 25, 72, 73, 75 and 76 were isolated from the fruit of Cinnamomum laubatii (family Lauraceae) in the Australian tropical rainforests. EBC‐23 ( 1 ) was synthesized stereoselectively, in nine linear steps in 8 % overall yield, to confirm the reported relative stereochemistry and determine the absolute stereochemistry. Key to the total synthesis was a series of Tietze–Smith linchpin reactions. The novel spiroacetal structural motif, exemplified by EBC‐23 ( 1 ), was found to inhibit the growth of the androgen‐independent prostate tumor cell line DU145 in the mouse model, indicating potential for the treatment of refractory solid tumors in adults.  相似文献

The ligand 1,3‐bis[3‐oxo‐3‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)propionyl]benzene (H4L), designed to align transition metals into tetranuclear linear molecules, reacts with MII salts (M=Ni, Co, Cu) to yield complexes with the expected [MM???MM] topology. The novel complexes [Co4L2(py)6] ( 2 ; py=pyridine) and [Na(py)2][Cu4L2(py)4](ClO4) ( 3 ) have been crystallographically characterised. The metal sites in complexes 2 and 3 , together with previously characterised [Ni4L2(py)6] ( 1 ), favour different coordination geometries. These have been exploited for the deliberate synthesis of the heterometallic complex [Cu2Ni2L2(py)6] ( 4 ). Complexes 1 , 2 , 3 and 4 exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions between pairs of metals within each cluster, leading to S=0 spin ground states, except for the latter cluster, which features two quasi‐independent S=1/2 moieties within the molecule. Complex 4 gathers the structural and physical conditions, thus allowing it to be considered as prototype of a two‐qbit quantum gate.  相似文献

Small polyhedral superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanoparticles (<10 nm) coated with a thin layer of silica were prepared (SPIO@SiO2 and SPIO@SiO2‐NH2). Surface modification of the small polyhedral silica‐coated SPIO nanoparticles with amines led to substantially higher mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) labelling efficiency without the use of additional transfecting agents. Therefore, amine surface‐modified nanoparticles (SPIO@ SiO2‐NH2) appeared to be the preferred candidate for MSC labelling. In vitro studies demonstrated that controlled labelling of SPIO@SiO2 and SPIO@SiO2‐NH2 did not cause MSC death or proliferation inhibition. MSCs labelled with SPIO@SiO2‐NH2 nanoparticles retained differentiation potential and showed osteogenic, adipogenic and chondrogenic differentiations. The noncytotoxic polyhedral SPIO@SiO2‐NH2 nanoparticle‐labelled MSCs were successfully implanted in rabbit brain and erector spinae muscle, and demonstrated long‐lasting, durable MRI labelling efficacy after 8–12 weeks.  相似文献

We describe herein the design, synthesis and detailed structural characterization of hybrid 1D nanostructures. They are prepared by supramolecular self‐assembly of oligothiophene molecules on the surface of zinc oxide nanorods in solution at room temperature. Electronic absorption spectroscopy and X‐ray diffraction show that both organic and inorganic components in the coaxial p–n heterojunctions are crystalline. Especially, it is demonstrated that the organic compounds form a self‐assembled monolayer at the surface of the nanorods, which is not the case when zinc oxide quantum dots are instead used. As a result of their hybrid nature, the 1D nanostructures lead to ambipolar semiconducting nanostructured materials as active layers in field‐effect transistors.  相似文献
