Ring closure reaction of 4-(2-hydroxyanilino)-2-phenyl-5-pyrimidinecarboxylic acid with acetic anhydride. Synthesis of pyrimido[5,4-c] [1,5]benzoxazepin-5(11H)ones

Syntheses of 11-acety1-2-phenylpyrimido[5,4-c][1,5]benzoxazepin-5(11H)one ( 16a ) and analogs ( 16b,c, 22 ) were described. The reaction of 4-chloro-2-phenyl-5-pyrimidinecarboxylic acid ethyl ester ( 7 ) with 2-aminophenol afforded 4-(2-hydroxyanilino)-2-phenyl-5-pyrimidine-carboxylic acid ethyl ester ( 8a ). The latter was also prepared by catalytic reduction of 4-(2-nitrophenoxy)-2-phenyl-5-pyrimidinecarboxylic acid ethyl ester ( 9 ), which was obtained from 7 and 2-nitrophenol. Involvement of 4-(2-aminophenoxy)-2-phenyl-5-pyrimidinecarboxylic acid ethyl ester ( 12a ) in this reduction as an intermediate was demonstrated by an independent synthesis of 12a and its subsequent rearrangement to 8a. Hydrolysis of 8a or 12a gave 4-(2-hydroxyanilino)-2-phenyl-5-pyrimidinecarboxylic acid ( 15a ). Reaction of 15a with acetic anhydride afforded 16a , the first member of a novel ring system, the pyrimido[5,4- c ][1,5]-benzoxazepin. Additional examples ( 16b,c ) were prepared similarly. The corresponding 11-ethyl derivative ( 22 ) was prepared in similar fashion, starting with 7 and 2-ethylaminophenol. A possible reaction mechanism for the formation of 16a-c from 15a-c and acetic anhydride was discussed.     

Synthesis of 2-(α-Hydroxyalkyl)-2-Oxazoline under Microwave Irradiation in Bluk

Four 2-(α-hydroxyalkyl)-2-oxazolines and a 2-(α-hydroxy-α,α-diphenyl)-2-benzooxazole were synthesized from β-amimoalcohols and α-hydroxy carboxylic acids under microwave irradiation in the absence of a solvent.     

Synthesis and Structural Characterization of two Novel Copper(I) Complexes with Oxygen Donor

Two novel copper(I) complexes with Cu‐O bonds, [Cu₂L₂(PPh₃)₂](BF₄)₂ ( 1 ) and [Cu(L)(dppeo)](BF₄) ( 2 ) ( L = 6‐(4‐diethylmethylphosphonatephenyl)‐2,2′‐bipyridine, dppeo = bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane monoxide), have been prepared and their structures characterized. In the binuclear complex 1 , the ligand L serves as tridentate donor with the N, N′ and O as coordination atoms, and the two Cu^I atoms are bridged through both P = O donor atoms in different ligand L with a triphenylphosphine molecule as auxiliary ligand. While in mononuclear complex 2 , both ligands L and dppeo behave as bidentate with N^∧N from L and P^∧O from dppeo chelating to Cu^I atom.     

Separation of oligonucleotides and DNA fragments by capillary electrophoresis in dynamically and permanently coated capillaries,using a copolymer of acrylamide and β-D-glucopyranoside as a new low viscosity matrix with high sieving capacity

New copolymers of acrylamide and β-D -glucopyranoside were synthesized and characterized. The different reactivity of the two monomers towards radical polymerization meant we could control the growth of the polymer chains whose length was inversely related to the number of glucose residues incorporated in the copolymers. The properties of these polymers were investigated in the separation of oligonucleotides and double-stranded DNA by capillary electrophoresis (CE) in coated and uncoated capillaries. The new copolymers were a suitable matrix for CE due to their high-resolving capacity and low viscosity. We also looked into the advantages of a new method of dynamic suppression of electroosmotic flow based on the addition of small amounts (0.03–0.05%) of dimethylacrylamide to the sieving and to the running buffer. A complete test was run on the reproducibility and efficiency of separations carried out in a permanently and dynamically coated capillary, and the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods were compared.     

Selective benzylic lithiation of N-Boc-2-phenylpiperidine and pyrrolidine: expedient synthesis of a 2,2-disubstituted piperidine NK1 antagonist

Unlike the lithiation of N-Boc-2-alkylpiperidines, which occurs at the 6-position, N-Boc-2-phenylpiperidine and N-Boc-2-phenylpyrrolidine can be lithiated exclusively at the 2-position. The tertiary carbanions can be trapped with a variety of electrophiles. This chemistry was used for the synthesis of a potent NK₁ ligand (K_i = 0.3 nM). The bioactive configuration at the piperidine quaternary center was determined by X-ray analysis to be (S).     

合成甲醇的催化剂Rh-ZnO/MWNTs的研究

研究新型的由多壁碳纳米管(MWNTs)负载的， ZnO助催的铑基甲醇合成催化剂. 当铑含量达到4％(w)时，催化剂具有较高的比表面积(99.6 m2•g－1), 催化剂的反应活化能为68.8 kJ•mol－1.在563 K, 1 MPa下，催化剂的最高催化活性和甲醇选择性分别为411.4 mg/gcat.•h和96.7％. TEM、TPR和TPD等表征结果显示，碳纳米管能增加Rh在催化剂表面的分散度，提高催化剂的还原温度并能增加氢物种的吸附量，这些结果将有助于更好地了解催化剂中各组分间的协同作用和催化活性中心本质.     

Stereochemistry of cyclobutanone resulted from cycloadditions of t-butylcyanoketene to bicyclo[2.2.1]heptene derivatives, as evidence for a π2s+π2a reaction mode

The stereochemistry of the cyclobutanones 1-7, resulted from the reaction of t-butylcyanoketene with bicyclo[2.2.1]heptene, bicyclo[2.2.1]heptadiene, 1,4 - dihydro - 1,4 - methanonaphthalene, 1,4 - dihydro - 9 - (1 - methylethylidene) - 1,4 - methanonaphthalene, 1,4 - dihydro - 1,4 - epoxynaphthalene, l,4,4a,8b - tetrahydro - 1,4 - methanobiphenylene (l,4,4a,8b) and 1,4,4a,8b - tetrahydro - 1,4 - methanobiphenylene(1,4,4aβ,8bβ) was established as having the cyclobutanone ring exo and the t-Bu group in the configuration. These findings represent a stereochemical argument in favour of a _π2_s + _π2_a reaction mode of t-butylcyanoketene to the above mentioned bicyclo[2.2.1]heptene derivatives. Observations regarding preservation of the original configurations of alkenes as well as the geometrical distorsion of the cyclobutanones are shortly discussed.

¹²¹Sb Mössbauer Spectra of Antimony (V) Compounds. II The Mössbauer resonance effect of ¹²¹Sb has been studied at 4.2 K in a series of 11 antimony(V) compounds which are in most cases bridged. Isomer shift and quadrupole splitting variations are considered in the light of results of X-ray and vibrational spectroscopy. Preparation and the vibrational spectra of [NMe₄][SbCl₄(n₃)₂] are described. Within the limitations of available structural data related tin compounds are compared with those of corresponding ¹¹⁹Sn Mössbauer spectra.

Moreover, this norm is constructed explicitly. Using Minkowski's wellknown theorem on successive minima and our result certain inequalities on simultaneous Diophantine approximations are derived.     

A sufficient condition for a graph to be hamiltonian

Those non-hamiltonian graphsG withn vertices are characterized, which satisfy the Ore-type degree-conditiond(x)+d(y)n–2 for each pairx,yM of different nonadjacent vertices whereM consists of two vertices ofG. As an application a theorem on hamiltonian connectivity of graphs is given. Furthermore, a condition is presented which is sufficient for the existence of a covering of a graph by two disjoint paths with prescribed set of startpoints and prescribed set of endpoints. A class of graphs is described which have no covering of this kind.
