Partially hydrogenated graphene materials, synthesized by the chemical reduction/hydrogenation of two different graphene oxides using zinc powder in acidic environment or aluminum powder in alkaline environment, exhibit high electrocatalytic activities, as well as electrochemical sensing properties. The starting graphene oxides and the resultant hydrogenated graphenes were characterized in detail. Their electrocatalytic activity was examined in the oxygen reduction reaction, whereas sensing properties towards explosives were tested by using picric acid as a redox probe. Findings indicate that the high electrocatalytic performance originates not only from the hydrogenation of graphene, but also from unintentional contamination of graphene with manganese and other metals during synthesis. A careful evaluation of the obtained data and a detailed chemical analysis are necessary to identify the origin of this anomalous electrocatalytic activity. 相似文献

Ruthenocene‐type hybrid complexes with N‐fused porphyrinato ligands, [Ru(NFp)Cp] (NFp=N‐fused porphyrin, Cp=cyclopentadienyl), have been prepared and characterized by NMR and UV/Vis/NIR spectroscopy, cyclovoltammetry, and X‐ray crystallography. [Ru(NFp)Cp] is a common low‐spin ruthenium(II) complex and shows strong aromaticity. The Ru–Cp distance (1.833 Å) in [Ru(NFp)Cp] is comparable to that in [RuCp2] (1.840 Å). DFT calculations on [Ru(NFp)Cp] showed the unequivocal contribution of the RuCp moiety as well as the NFp moiety to both the HOMO and LUMO, constructing a three‐dimensional d–π conjugated system. The HOMO–LUMO gaps of [Ru(NFp)Cp] are insensitive to the substituents on the NFp ligand, which is illustrated spectroscopically as well as theoretically. This is in sharp contrast to the ligand precursor, the N‐fused porphyrin, in which the HOMO–LUMO gap is affected by substituents in a similar manner to standard porphyrins and related macrocycles. 相似文献

Grignard reagents RMgCl and their so‐called turbo variant, the highly reactive RMgCl?LiCl, are of exceptional synthetic utility. Nevertheless, it is still not fully understood which species these compounds form in solution and, in particular, in which way LiCl exerts its reactivity‐enhancing effect. A combination of electrospray‐ionization mass spectrometry, electrical conductivity measurements, NMR spectroscopy (including diffusion‐ordered spectroscopy), and quantum chemical calculations is used to analyze solutions of RMgCl (R=Me, Et, Bu, Hex, Oct, Dec, iPr, tBu, Ph) in tetrahydrofuran and other ethereal solvents in the absence and presence of stoichiometric amounts of LiCl. In tetrahydrofuran, RMgCl forms mononuclear species, which are converted into trinuclear anions as a result of the concentration increase experienced during the electrospray process. These trinuclear anions are theoretically predicted to adopt open cubic geometries, which remarkably resemble structural motifs previously found in the solid state. The molecular constituents of RMgCl and RMgCl?LiCl are interrelated via Schlenk equilibria and fast intermolecular exchange processes. A small portion of the Grignard reagent also forms anionic ate complexes in solution. The abundance of these more electron‐rich and hence supposedly more nucleophilic ate complexes strongly increases upon the addition of LiCl, thus rationalizing its beneficial effect on the reactivity of Grignard reagents. 相似文献

In spite of the clinical importance of hydroxyapatite (HAp), the mechanism that controls its dissolution in acidic environments remains unclear. Knowledge of such a process is highly desirable to provide better understanding of different pathologies, as for example osteoporosis, and of the HAp potential as vehicle for gene delivery to replace damaged DNA. In this work, the mechanism of dissolution in acid conditions of HAp nanoparticles encapsulating double‐stranded DNA has been investigated at the atomistic level using computer simulations. For this purpose, four consecutive (multi‐step) molecular dynamics simulations, involving different temperatures and proton transfer processes, have been carried out. Results are consistent with a polynuclear decalcification mechanism in which proton transfer processes, from the surface to the internal regions of the particle, play a crucial role. In addition, the DNA remains protected by the mineral mold and transferred proton from both temperature and chemicals. These results, which indicate that biomineralization imparts very effective protection to DNA, also have important implications in other biomedical fields, as for example in the design of artificial bones or in the fight against osteoporosis by promoting the fixation of Ca2+ ions. 相似文献

Perylene diimide (PDI) derivatives exhibit a high propensity for aggregation, which causes the aggregation‐induced quenching of emission from the system. Host–guest chemistry is one of the best‐known methods for preventing aggregation through the encapsulation of guest molecules. Herein we report the use of 18‐crown‐6 (18‐C‐6) as a host system to disaggregate suitably substituted PDI derivatives in methanol. 18‐C‐6 formed complexes with amino‐substituted PDIs in methanol, which led to disaggregation and enhanced emission from the systems. Furthermore, the embedding of the PDI ? 18‐C‐6 complexes in poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) films generated remarkably high emission quantum yields (60–70 %) from the PDI derivatives. More importantly, the host–guest systems were tested for their ability to conduct electricity in PVA films. The electrical conductivities of the self‐assembled systems in PVA were measured by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and the highest conductivity observed was 2.42×10?5 S cm?1. 相似文献

Highly selective tandem nucleophilic addition/cross‐coupling reactions of alkynes have been developed using visible‐light‐promoted dual gold/photoredox catalysis. The simultaneous oxidation of AuI and coordination of the coupling partner by photo‐generated aryl radicals, and the use of catalytically inactive gold precatalysts allows for high levels of selectivity for the cross‐coupled products without competing hydrofunctionalization or homocoupling. As demonstrated in representative arylative Meyer–Schuster and hydration reactions, this work expands the scope of dual gold/photoredox catalysis to the largest class of substrates for gold catalysts and benefits from the mild and environmentally attractive nature of visible‐light activation. 相似文献

A ruthenium carbene complex bearing azobenzene functionality is reported. The complex exists in the form of two isomers differing by the size of the chelate ring. Both isomers were isolated by applying kinetic or thermodynamic control during the synthesis and characterized by X‐ray diffraction analysis. The isomerization of the complex was studied by UV/Vis spectroscopy. The stable isomer was tested as a catalyst in olefin metathesis. The complex was activated at about 100 °C to promote ring‐closing and ring‐opening polymerization metathesis reactions. A new pentacene‐type silaborin, in which three benzene rings are bridged by silicon and boron atoms, has been synthesized and characterized by using NMR spectroscopy and X‐ray crystallographic analysis. The precursor, 1,4‐bis(dimesitylboryl)‐2,5‐bis(phenylsilyl)benzene ( 4 ), was prepared by stepwise introduction of a silyl group and a boryl group to a benzene ring starting from 1,4‐dibromobenzene. Double cyclization of 4 proceeds by a H‐Mes exchange and a B‐H/C‐H dehydrogenative condensation to afford pentacene‐type silaborin 5 . X‐ray crystal structure analysis reveals that 5 adopts a bent structure rather than a planar one. UV/Vis spectra and DFT calculations for 5 reveal a lowering of the LUMO energy level compared with corresponding anthracene‐type 3 . 相似文献

This work reports a detailed structure–property relationship study of a series of efficient host materials based on the donor–spiro–acceptor (D‐spiro‐A) design for green and sky‐blue phosphorescent organic light‐emitting diodes (PhOLEDs). The electronic and physical effects of the indoloacridine (IA) fragment connected through a spiro bridge to different acceptor units, namely, fluorene, dioxothioxanthene or diazafluorene moiety, have been investigated in depth. The resulting host materials have been easily synthesised through short, efficient, low‐cost, and highly adaptable synthetic routes by using common intermediates. The dyes possess a very high triplet energy (ET) and tuneable HOMO/LUMO levels, depending on the strength of the donor/acceptor combination. The peculiar electrochemical and optical properties of the IA moiety have been investigated though a fine comparison with their phenylacridine counterparts to study the influence of planarisation. Finally, these molecules have been incorporated as hosts in green and sky‐blue PhOLEDs. For the derivative SIA‐TXO2 as a host, external quantum efficiencies as high as 23 and 14 % have been obtained for green and sky‐blue PhOLEDs, respectively. 相似文献

A set of pyridine monoimine (PMI) rhenium(I) tricarbonyl chlorido complexes with substituents of different steric and electronic properties was synthesized and fully characterized. Spectroscopic (NMR and IR) and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses of these complexes showed that the redox‐active PMI ligands are neutral and that the overall electronic structure is little affected by the choices of the substituent at the ligand backbone. One‐ and two‐electron reduction products were prepared from selected starting compounds and could also be characterized by multiple spectroscopic methods and X‐ray diffraction. The final product of a one‐electron reduction in THF is a diamagnetic metal–metal‐bonded dimer after loss of the chlorido ligand. Bond lengths in and NMR chemical shifts of the PMI ligand backbone indicate partial electron transfer to the ligand. Two‐electron reduction in THF also leads to the loss of the chlorido ligand and a pentacoordinate complex is obtained. The comparison with reported bond lengths and 13C NMR chemical shifts of doubly reduced free pyridine monoaldimine ligands indicates that both redox equivalents in the doubly reduced rhenium complex investigated here are located in the PMI ligand. With diamagnetic complexes varying over three formal reduction stages at the PMI ligand we were, for the first time, able to establish correlations of the 13C NMR chemical shifts with the relevant bond lengths in redox‐active ligands over a full redox series. 相似文献
