Magnetic and orientational behavior of nickel hydroxide nanoplatelets ionically stabilized in a liquid matrix is studied. Under an applied field the platelets orient their faces normal to its direction. For characterization of the individual behavior of dispersed and non-interacting particles three techniques are used: SAXS, SQUID and magneto-optics. Analysis reveals that nickel hydroxide in a platelet phase is paramagnetic with a pronounced anisotropy of the intrinsic susceptibility, the major component of which (in the direction normal to platelet face) exceeds the minor one by about 25%.  相似文献

The gas‐phase elimination kinetics of 2,2‐diethoxyethyl amine and 2,2‐diethoxy‐N,N‐diethylethanamine (320–380 °C; 40–150 Torr) in a seasoned reaction vessel are homogeneous, unimolecular and obey a first‐order rate law. These elimination processes involve two parallel reactions. The first gives ethanol and the corresponding 2‐ethoxyethenamine. The latter compound further decomposes to ethylene, CO and the corresponding amine. The second parallel reaction produce ethane and the corresponding ethyl ester of an α‐amino acid. The following Arrhenius expressions are given as: For 2,2‐diethoxyethyl amine For 2,2‐diethoxy‐N,N‐diethylethanamine Comparative kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of the overall, the parallel and the consecutive reactions lead to consider two types of mechanisms in terms of a concerted polar cyclic transition state structures. We present experimental and theoretical evidence of the role played by the spin–orbit coupling in the electronic structure of a pseudomorphic Au monolayer on Nb(001) substrate. The bands found with the help of the angle‐resolved ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (ARUPS) are compared with those obtained from ab initio self‐consistent calculations by the VASP and WIEN2k codes. The slab calculations are performed including geometric relaxation and using both the generalized‐gradient (GGA) and local‐density (LDA) approximations for the exchange–correlation energy. The dispersions and energy positions of the calculated bands agree with the experimentally determined band structure only if the LDA is used and the spin–orbit coupling is included. Therefore, both the structure relaxation and spin–orbit coupling are essential in understanding the electronic structure of the Au/Nb(001) system.

A novel blue fluorescent first generation stilbenoid dendrimer built on the 1,3,5-benzene core and endowed with a periphery of hexyloxy branches has been synthesized and is proposed as an active layer for organic light-emitting diodes processed by spin coating. In this work, we have obtained homogeneous thin films with blue emission (2.8 eV) by spin coating instead of the usual evaporation method used for low-weight molecular materials. The absorption and emission spectra of the films are analyzed and compared to that of the molecule. The obtained results show the dependence of the absorption and emission properties on the morphology and the dendrimer aggregation in the film. The effect of inter-dendrimer interactions leads to a broadening of the absorption bands and to a reduction of the threshold as the aggregation increases. The most efficient solid-state emission is for the films obtained from chloroform as solvent in the precursor solution.  相似文献

Phase singularities of wave-front-like screw dislocations or vortices possess a well-defined quantity that can only take integer value: the topological charge. In the nonlinear regime, it has been demonstrated that optical or acoustical vortices interact and the topological charge follows a conservation law. Here this facility is used in nonlinear parametric interaction of two vortices shifted in frequency to perform sums and subtractions of the topological charge. Thus, we experimentally demonstrate a new technique to perform wave computation in the group of integer Z. When the two vortices have commensurable frequencies, different combinations give the same frequencies but different tolopological charges may occur. We show that an energy criterion can be used to predict the outcome. A corollary is that a modulation of amplitude of the vortices switches from one result to the other.  相似文献

A new long-lived isomeric state in (65)Fe has been discovered with Penning trap mass spectrometry and high-precision mass measurements of the neutron-rich isotopes (63-65)Fe and (64-66)Co have been performed with the Low-Energy Beam and Ion Trap Facility at the NSCL. For the new isomer in (65)Fe an excitation energy of 402(5) keV has been determined from the measured mass difference between the isomeric and ground states. The mass uncertainties of all isotopes have been reduced by a factor of 10-100 compared to previous results. In the case of (64)Co the previous mass value was found to deviate by about 5 standard deviations from the new measurement.  相似文献

In this work we report a comparative study of the magnetic and structural properties of Fe50Al50 alloys produced by mechanical alloying using two different planetary ball mills with the same ball mass to powder mass relation. The Fe50Al50 sample milled during 48 h using the Fritsch planetary ball mill pulverisette 5 and balls of 20 mm, presents only a bcc alloy phase with a majority of paramagnetic sites, whereas that sample milled during the same time using the Fritsch planetary ball mill pulverisette 7 with balls of 15 mm, presents a bcc alloy phase with paramagnetic site (doublet) and a majority of ferromagnetic sites which include pure Fe. However for 72 h of milling this sample presents a bcc paramagnetic phase, very similar to that prepared with the first system during 48 h. These results show that the conditions used in the first ball mill equipment make more efficient the milling process.  相似文献
