Rearrangements in the haloalkoxy(mercapto,amino)-sym-triazine series

It is shown by means of an O¹⁸ label that the thermolysis of 2-methoxy-4-(2-chloroethoxy)-6-dialkylamino-sym-triazines to give oxazolo-sym-triazines in an inert medium proceeds without the formation of intermediate N-2-chloroethyl derivatives. In contrast to this, the thermolysis of 2-ethoxy(propoxy)-4-(2-chloroethoxy) derivatives gives N-2-chloroethyl derivatives, which upon prolonged heating are converted to oxazolo-sym-triazines. Triazinium salts are formed when both 2-chloroethoxy and N-2-chloroethyl derivatives are heated in water. The triazinium salts undergo rearrangement to N-2-chloroethyl derivatives when the water is removed. On the basis of the data obtained it is assumed that the thermolysis of 2-chloroethoxy-sym-triazines in an inert medium proceeds via a concerted mechanism, whereas thermolysis proceeds via an ionic mechanism in water. Intramolecular cyclization of propargyl arylcarbamates

It was found that the products of intramolecular cyclization of alkynyl arylcarbamates have an oxazolidine structure.     

Studies on Functionally-substituted Azines. 9. Reaction of (6-Methoxy-4-methyl-2-pyrimidinyl)trimethylammonium Chloride with O- and C-Nucleophiles

The reactions of (4-methyl-6-methoxy-2-pyrimidyl)trimethylammonium chloride with a mixture of formaldehyde and sodium cyanide and mixtures of sodium cyanamide and guanidine derivatives in the presence of alkali lead to the formation of 2-substituted pyrimidines.     

Investigations in the area of functionally substituted azines. 5.* Reactions of azines with nucleophiles and hydrogen chloride

It was shown that oxazolopyrimidinium and sym-triazinium chlorides give N₍₃₎-(2-Y-ethyl)-substituted azines with nucleophiles. Hindered Internal Rotation about a C-N Bond in Some Trisubstituted 1,3,5-Triazines

We have studied the temperature dependence of the ¹H NMR spectra of some 2,4,6-trisubstituted 1,3,5-triazines having an NHAlk or NAlk₂ group or groups at the position 2 or 2 and 4 of the heterocycle. We have shown that rotation of these groups about the C-N bond is hindered. Condensation of ethanolamine with chloro-sym-triazines

2,2-Aminoethoxy-sym-triazines have been synthesized by reduction of cyanomethoxy-sym-triazines or by the reaction of sodium 2-aminoethoxide with quaternary ammonium salts of sym-triazines. Functionally substituted azines. 1. Synthesis and reactions of 2-(N-cyano-N-carbethoxmethylamino)-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine

Treatment of 2-(N-potassium-N-cyanamino)-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine with ethyliodoacetate produces 2-(N-cyano-N-carbethoxymethylamino)-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine. Alkaline hydrolysis of the last gives 2-(3-potassium-2,4-dioxoimidazolidinyl-1)-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine. Ammonolysis and hydrazinolysis give imino- or amino-imidazolidinylpyrimidine, respectively.Armenian Agricultural Institute, Erevan 375009. Condensation of dicyandiamide with chloral hydrate

A substituted 1,3,5-oxadiazine derivative that exists in two tautomeric forms was obtained by reaction of dicyandiamide with chloral hydrate. The structure of the product was established on the basis of its IR spectrum and chemical transformations.     

Synthesis of 1,3-dioxolane derivatives

Chloral cyanomethylhemiacetal is converted to 2-trichloromethyl-4-imino-1,3-dioxolane under the influence of hydrogen chloride or pyridine. Acetone cyanohydrin reacts with chloral to give 2-trichloromethyl-4-imino-5,5-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane, the hydrochloride of which in water gives 2-trichloromethyl-4-oxo-5,5-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane.     

Radiation from 20 MeV electrons in piezoelectric single crystals in the presence of external acoustic fields

The radiation from electrons interacting with piezoelectric single crystals and the influence of acoustic fields on the frequency-temporal parameters of characteristic energy yields have been investigated experimentally. The experiments were carried out on the extracted 20 MeV electron beam of the linear accelerator LEA-50 of the Alikhanian National Scientific Laboratory. The energy distributions of specific yields of the electron radiation in quartz single crystal were obtained. The amplification of intensity and the shift of energy yields under the influence of hypersonic vibrations were observed.
