Regular measurements of atmospheric CO 2 mixing ratios and their carbon isotope composition (13C/12C and 14C/12C ratios) performed between 2005 and 2009 at two sites of contrasting characteristics (Krakow and the remote mountain site Kasprowy Wierch) located in southern Poland were used to derive fossil fuel-related and biogenic contributions to the total CO 2 load measured at both sites. Carbon dioxide present in the atmosphere, not coming from fossil fuel and biogenic sources, was considered ‘background’ CO 2. In Krakow, the average contribution of fossil fuel CO 2 was approximately 3.4%. The biogenic component was of the same magnitude. Both components revealed a distinct seasonality, with the fossil fuel component reaching maximum values during winter months and the biogenic component shifted in phase by approximately 6 months. The partitioning of the local CO 2 budget for the Kasprowy Wierch site revealed large differences in the derived components: the fossil fuel component was approximately five times lower than that derived for Krakow, whereas the biogenic component was negative in summer, pointing to the importance of photosynthetic sink associated with extensive forests in the neighbourhood of the station. While the presented study has demonstrated the strength of combined measurements of CO 2 mixing ratios and their carbon isotope signature as efficient tools for elucidating the partitioning of local atmospheric CO 2 loads, it also showed the important role of the land cover and the presence of the soil in the footprint of the measurement location, which control the net biogenic surface CO 2 fluxes. 相似文献
Modified bismuth oxide (Bi2O3) is of great importance to fuel cells and oxide varistors. The electrical parameters of Bi2O3 vary with its modifying components as well as with its aging temperature. This paper presents an analysis of impedance test results carried out to find an equivalent electric model and the relationship between the model's elements to various additives used to modify Bi2O3 and to changes in aging temperature. Abstract Novel, diethyl 1-(isothiocyano)alkylphosphonates 3 have been efficiently synthesized via a one-pot reaction of diethyl 1-azidoalkylphosphonates 1 with triphenylphosphine, followed by in situ transformation of thus formed phosphazenes 2 with carbon disulfide. Application of the title compounds in the synthesis of diethyl (N-phenylthioureido)- and (benzothiazol-2-ylamino)methylphosphonates was also described. 相似文献
In recent years, an increasing interest in reducing sugar consumption has been observed and many studies are conducted on the use of polyols in the osmotic dehydration process to obtain candied or dried fruits. The studies in the literature have focused on the kinetics of the process as well as the basic physical properties. In the scientific literature, there is a lack of investigation of the influence of such polyol solutions such as sorbitol and mannitol used as osmotic substances during the osmotic dehydration process on the contents of bioactive components, including natural colourants. Thus, the aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of polyols (mannitol and sorbitol) in different concentrations on the process kinetics and on chosen physical (colour and structural changes) as well as chemical (sugars and polyol content, total anthocyanin content, total polyphenol content, vitamin C, antioxidant activity) properties of osmotic-dehydrated organic strawberries. Generally, the results showed that the best solution for osmotic dehydration is 30% or 40% sorbitol solutions, while mannitol solution is not recommended due to difficulties with preparing a high-concentration solution and its crystallization in the tissue. In the case of sorbitol, the changes of bioactive compounds, as well as colour change, were similar to the sucrose solution. However, the profile of the sugar changed significantly, in which sucrose, glucose, and fructose were reduced in organic strawberries and were partially replaced by polyols. 相似文献
Synonyms and homonyms appear in all natural languages. We analyze their evolution within the framework of the signaling game. Agents in our model use reinforcement learning, where probabilities of selection of a communicated word or of its interpretation depend on weights equal to the number of accumulated successful communications. When the probabilities increase linearly with weights, synonyms appear to be very stable and homonyms decline relatively fast. Such behavior seems to be at odds with linguistic observations. A better agreement is obtained when probabilities increase faster than linearly with weights. Our results may suggest that a certain positive feedback, the so-called Metcalfe’s Law, possibly drives some linguistic processes. Evolution of synonyms and homonyms in our model can be approximately described using a certain nonlinear urn model. 相似文献
Fruit of Saskatoon (Amelanchier alnifolia Nutt.) are a good source of bioactive compounds, such as polyphenols, including anthocyanins, as well as vitamins, macro- and microelements and fibre. By treating Saskatoon fruits with gaseous ozone, and adding the material as an enhancer to barley beers, it is possible to impact the contents of bioactive compounds in the produced fruit beers. Sensory tests showed that beers made from barley with addition of Saskatoon fruit of the ‘Smoky’ cultivar were characterised by the most balanced taste and aroma. Physicochemical analyses of fruit beers, produced with Saskatoon fruit pulp added on the seventh day of fermentation, showed that the beers enhanced with ozone-treated and untreated ‘Smoky’ Saskatoon fruits had the highest contents of alcohol, 5.51% v/v and 5.66% v/v, respectively, as well as total polyphenol contents of 395 mg GAE/L and 401 mg GAE/L, respectively, and higher antioxidant activity (assessed using DPPH•, FRAP and ABTS+• assays). It was demonstrated that the ozonation process led to a decrease in the contents of neochlorogenic acid, on average by 91.00%, and of caffeic acid by 20.62%, relative to the beers enhanced with ‘Smoky’ Saskatoon fruits not subjected to ozone treatment. The present study shows that Saskatoon fruits can be used in the production of beer, and the Canadian cultivar ‘Smoky’ is recommended for this purpose. 相似文献
A new method for investigating the mechanisms of nitric oxide release from NO donors under oxidative and reductive conditions is presented. Based on the fragmentation of N-nitrosoamines, it allows generation and spectroscopic characterization of nitrenium cations, amide anions, and aminyl radicals. X-irradiation of N-nitroso-N,N-diphenylamine 1 in Ar matrices at 10 K is found to yield the corresponding radical ions, which apparently undergo spontaneous loss of NO* under the conditions of this experiment (1*+ seems to survive partially intact, but not 1*-). One-electron reduction or oxidation of 1 is observed upon doping of the Ar matrix with DABCO, an efficient hole scavenger, or CH2Cl2, an electron scavenger, respectively. The resulting diphenylnitrenium cation, 2+, and the diphenylamide anion, 2-, were characterized by their full UV-vis and mid-IR spectra. The best spectra of 2+ and 2- were obtained if 1 was homolytically photodissociated to diphenylaminyl radical 2* and NO* prior to ionization. 2+ and 2- are bleached on irradiation at <340 nm to form 2* or, in part, 1. DFT and CCSD quantum chemical calculations predict that the dissociation of 1*+ and 1*- is slightly endothermic, a tendency which is partially reversed if one allows for complexation of the resulting 2+ (and, presumably, 2-) with NO*. The method described in this work should prove generally applicable to the generation and study of nitrenium cations and amide anions R2N+/- under matrix and ambient conditions (i.e., in solution). 相似文献
This paper describes a miniaturized multisensor platform (MP-ISES) consisting of electrodes: a reference one (RE) and ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) for monitoring Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl−, and SCN− ions and pH in human saliva. Gold electrode surface was modified by deposition of two layers: electrosynthesized PEDOT:PSS forming an intermediate layer, and ion-selective membrane. The developed ISEs were characterized by a wide linear range and sensitivity consistent with the Nernst model. The entire MP-ISEs are characterized by satisfactory metrological parameters demonstrating their applicability in biomedical research, in particular in measurements concerning determination of ionic profiles of saliva. Saliva samples of 18 volunteers aged from 20 to 26 participating in a month experiment had been daily collected and investigated using the MP-ISEs assigned individually to each person. Personalized profiles of ions (ionograms) in saliva, such as Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl−, SCN−, and H+, were obtained.
The effect of -, - and -cyclodextrin onthe photochemical stability of 7-amino-4-methylcoumarin (C120)was studied. Using spectroscopic techniques (UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence, fluorescence anisotropy and circular dichroism) combined with HPLC/MS and MS analysis it was demonstrated that addition of -cyclodextrin to the aqueoussolution of C120 markedly inhibits the photodegradation of that dye.
