The kinetics of cation exchange reaction of europium propylenediaminetetraacetate with ytterbium ion
The kinetics of cation exchange reaction of Eu(III) propylenediaminetetraacetate with Yb(III) has been studied in an aqueous solution by the polarographic procedure. The measurements were made at 25°C and at an ionic strength of 0.5 M KCl. The dissociation of the europium complex has been found to be catalyzed by hydrogen ions. The influences of the inductive effect and the steric hindrance of a C-methyl group on the ethylene of PDTA are discussed by comparing it to analogous EDTA and CyDTA system. 相似文献

The electrochemical stability of 10 organic cations, which can be used in ionic liquids (IL), was investigated as solutes in acetonitrile (ACN). The stability of three of the salts, BenMe2EtNCl (salt III), 1-butyl-2-methyl pyrrolidium chloride (salt VI), and its structural isomer, BuMe2ProNCl (salt VII), were also compared in chloroaluminate ILs. The chloroaluminate ILs of salts VI and VII are investigated for the first time. The NaCl-neutralized ILs of salts VI and VII have melting points of 43.2 and 3.7 degrees C, respectively. The benzyl-substituted cation, salt III, was more easily reduced in ACN or as the neutral chloroaluminate IL than the alkyl-substituted cation, salt VII, due to the better leaving ability of the benzyl group. Mass spectroscopy measurements before and after electrolysis on the benzyl-substituted solutions confirmed that reduction involves the loss of an alkyl group. In ACN, salt VI was found to be the most difficult to reduce (1 mA/cm2 at -2.09 V) due to its cyclic structure. However, in the chloroaluminate IL, the pyrrolidinium cation was more easily reduced than salt III or its isomer, salt VII, resulting in an insoluble black deposit. This is consistent with the mass spectrometry data, which do not show formation of low-molecular-weight products, as in the reduction of salts III and VII. The IL of salt VII was the most stable in the presence of sodium. Sodium ions could be reduced and reoxidized with a maximum Coulombic efficiency of 94.1% versus 87.2% for salt VI. Reduction of the pyrrolidinium cation produces insoluble products, most likely through opening of the cyclic ring, and an inferior medium for sodium ion reduction compared to the benzyl- and butyl-substituted cations, even though reduction of the cation occurs at a more negative potential in acetonitrile. 相似文献

A novel assay of γ-globulin (γ-IgG) with a sensitivity at the nanogram level is proposed based on the measurement of enhanced resonance light-scattering (RLS) signals resulting from the interaction of functionalized nano-HgS with γ-globulin. At pH 5.03, the RLS signals of functionalized nano-HgS were greatly enhanced by γ-globulin in the region of 200-700 nm characterized by the peak around 362 nm. Linear relationship can be established between the enhanced RLS intensity and γ-globulin concentration in the range of 10-140 ng ml−1. The limit of detection is 2.71 ng ml−1. Based on this, a new direct quantitative determination method for γ-globulin in blood serum samples without separation of human serum albumin (HSA) is established. The contents of γ-IgG in blood serum samples were determined with recovery of 95.7-102.5% and R.S.D. of 1.6-2.4%. Although a lithium metal anode has a high energy density compared with a carbon insertion anode, the poor rechargeability prevents the practical use of anode materials. A lithium electrode coated with Li2CO3 was prepared as a negative electrode to enhance cycleability through the control of the solid electrolyte interface (SEI) layer formation in Li secondary batteries. The electrochemical characteristics of the SEI layer were examined using chronopotentiometry (CP) and impedance spectroscopy. The Li2CO3-SEI layer prevents electrolyte decomposition reaction and has low interface resistance. The novel atrane-like six-coordinate (RO)(2)TaL complexes [where R = Me or Et and L = tris(2-oxy-3,5-dimethylbenzyl)amine] containing three six-membered rings have been synthesized and characterized. The R = Me complex is the first group 5 representative of this class of compounds structurally characterized by X-ray means. Somewhat surprisingly, these compounds failed to function as single-site initiators for the polymerization of l-LA to isotactic PLA and rac-LA to atactic PLA, whereas Ta(OEt)(5) and two titanium analogues ROTiL (where R = 2,6-di-i-PrC(6)H(3) and i-Pr) as well as Ti(O-i-Pr)(4) were effective catalysts for both polymerizations. 相似文献

Rare-earth ternary catalysts Y(CCl3COO)3-ZnR2-glycerin were prepared for the copolymerization of carbon dioxide and propylene oxide (PO), where dialkylzincs (ZnR2) were diethylzinc, di(n-propyl)zinc, di(n-butyl)zinc, di(i-propyl)zinc, di(i-butyl)zinc, di(s-butyl)zinc,respectively. The Y(CCl3COO)3-ZnR2-glycerin catalysts displayed the highest catalytic activity at the molar ratio of Y(CCl3COO)3:ZnR2:glycerin = 1:20:10. In the same copolymerization condition, catalysts containing dialkylzincs with branched alkyl group showed lower catalytic activity than that with primary alkyl group. For those catalysts including dialkylzincs with primary alkyl group, their catalytic activity decreases with increasing number of carbon atom in the alkyl group with the following sequence: Y(CCl3COO)3-ZnEt2-glycerin 〉 Y(CCl3COO)3-Zn(n- Pr)2-glycerin〉Y(CCl3COO)3-Zn(n-Bu)2-glycerin. Four different types of amine-attached MCM-48 silicas were prepared and investigated for CO(2) separation from N(2). Monomeric and polymeric hindered and unhindered amines were attached to the pore surface of the MCM-48 silica and characterized with respect to their CO(2) sorption properties. The pore structures and amino group content in these modified silicas were investigated by XRD, FT-IR, TGA, N(2) adsorption/desorption at 77 K and CHN/Si analysis, which confirmed that in all cases the amino groups were attached to the pore surface of MCM-48 at 1.5-5.2 mmol/g. The N(2) adsorption/desorption analysis showed a considerable decrease of the pore volume and surface area for the MCM-48 silica containing a polymeric amine (e.g., polyethyleneimine). The CO(2) adsorption rates and capacities of the amine-attached MCM-48 samples were studied employing a sorption microbalance. The results obtained indicated that in addition to the concentration of surface-attached amino groups, specific interactions between CO(2) and the surface amino groups, and the resultant pore structure after amine group attachment have a significant impact on CO(2) adsorption properties of these promising adsorbent materials. 相似文献

We investigate the role that local motions and slow cooperative fluctuations have on the relaxation of the intrapair dipolar order in the nematic 5CB. With this purpose we present a theoretical and experimental systematic study which allow us to quantify the contribution from each type of molecular fluctuation to the intrapair dipolar order relaxation time, T(1D). The experimental work includes measurements of Zeeman and intrapair dipolar order relaxation times (T(1Z) and T(1D)) as a function of temperature at conventional NMR frequencies, in three complementary samples: normal and chain deuterated 4-n-pentyl-4(')-cyanobiphenyl (5CB and 5CB(d11)) and a mixture of normal 5CB and fully deuterated 4-n-pentyl-4'-cyanobiphenyl (5CB(d19)), 50% in weight. Additionally we perform T(1Z) field-cycling Larmor frequency-dependent measurements to obtain the spectral density of the cooperative fluctuations. The obtained results are as follows. (a) The cooperative molecular fluctuations have a strong relative weight in the relaxation of the intrapair dipolar order state, even at Larmor frequencies in the range of conventional NMR. (b) Alkyl chain rotations are an important relaxation mechanism of the intrapair dipolar order at megahertz frequencies. (c) Intermolecular fluctuations mediated by translational self-diffusion of the molecules is not an efficient mechanism of relaxation of the intrapair dipolar order. 相似文献
