Methods were developed for the synthesis of 2-ethoxy-1,4-butanediol and 2-ethoxy-1,4-pentanediol. The latter was a mixture of diastereomers. These diols were used to synthesize 5-ethoxy-1,3-dioxepan and 2,2,4-trimethyl-6-ethoxy-1,3-dioxepan. Gas-liquid chromatography was used to demonstrate that 2,2,4-trimethyl-6-ethoxy-1,3-dioxepan is a mixture of cis and trans isomers; the ratio of these isomers is similar to the ratio of diastereomers in the starting 2-ethoxy-1,4-pentanediol. The results of 2.5D particle-in-cell simulation of a coaxial electron trap with an internal anode are reported. It is found
that, when the circulating current reaches the value of the ultimate vacuum current, first a virtual cathode arises in the
trap and then the beam compresses (distributed virtual cathode). The transient preceding the compressed state exhibits complicated
nonlinear dynamics, when compressed regions alternate with regions that are in a two-flow state (phase-space bubbles or phase-space
holes). Physically, phase-space holes are similar to the well-known Bernstein-Greene-Kruskal plasma structures. Three types
of phasespace holes with different dynamics (oscillating holes, flying holes, and chaotic holes) are revealed. Consideration
of phase-space holes as quasi-particles makes it possible to find several channels of their interaction in pair collisions.
The feasibility of the coaxial trap as a source of highly charged ions is analyzed. Although the compressed beam mode provides
a larger amount of accumulated electrons compared with the conventional two-flow mode, the mean kinetic energy in the presence
of a virtual cathode turns out to be much lower. A way of elevating the mean kinetic energy is suggested that consists in
increasing the limit vacuum current in the axial configuration with an internal electrode. 相似文献

Bismuth germanate shaped crystals have been grown by the EFG (Stepanov) method. The correlation between growth rate, shape of crystals, their optical and scintillation parameters has been analysed. Optical and scintillation characteristics of the EFG crystals are similar to those obtained with Czochralski grown crystals, however, growth rate in EFG is by 2.5 times larger. Also we compare the photochromic effect under UV‐irradiation in EFG and Czochralski grown crystals. Material losses at fabrication of plates, pixels, and rods from EFG shaped plates may be reduced by ∼50% compared to large diameter boules. 相似文献

The transmutation (transformation) operator associated with the perturbed Bessel equation is considered. It is shown that its integral kernel can be uniformly approximated by linear combinations of constructed here generalized wave polynomials, solutions of a singular hyperbolic partial differential equation arising in relation with the transmutation kernel. As a corollary of this result an approximation of the regular solution of the perturbed Bessel equation is proposed with corresponding estimates independent of the spectral parameter. 相似文献

Conventional photodynamic treatment strategies are based on the principle of activating molecular oxygen in situ by light, mediated by a photosensitizer, which leads to the generation of reactive oxygen species and thereby causes cell death. A diarylethene‐derived peptidomimetic is presented that is suitable for photodynamic cancer therapy without any involvement of oxygen. This light‐sensitive molecule is not a mediator but is itself the cytotoxic agent. As a derivative of the cyclic amphiphilic peptide gramicidin S, the peptidomimetic exists in two thermally stable photoforms that are interconvertible by light of different wavelengths. The isomer generated by visible light shows much stronger toxicity against tumor cells than the UV‐generated isomer. First in vivo applications are demonstrated on a tumor animal model to illustrate how the peptidomimetic can be administered in the less toxic form and then activated locally in a solid tumor by visible light. 相似文献

A conformationally restricted monofluorinated α‐amino acid, (3‐fluorobicyclo[1.1.1]pentyl)glycine (F‐Bpg), was designed as a label for the structural analysis of membrane‐bound peptides by solid‐state 19F NMR spectroscopy. The compound was synthesized and validated as a 19F label for replacing natural aliphatic α‐amino acids. Calculations suggested that F‐Bpg is similar to Leu/Ile in terms of size and lipophilicity. The 19F NMR label was incorporated into the membrane‐active antimicrobial peptide PGLa and provided information on the structure of the peptide in a lipid bilayer. 相似文献

An analytical model to describe diffusion of oligonucleotides from stable hydrogel beads is developed and experimentally verified. The synthesized alginate beads are Fe3+‐cross‐linked and polyelectrolyte‐doped for uniformity and stability at physiological pH. Data on diffusion of oligonucleotides from inside the beads provide physical insights into the volume nature of the immobilization of a fraction of oligonucleotides due to polyelectrolyte cross‐linking, that is, the absence of a surface‐layer barrier in this case. Furthermore, the results suggest a new simple approach to measuring the diffusion coefficient of mobile oligonucleotide molecules inside hydrogels. The considered alginate beads provide a model for a well‐defined component in drug‐release systems and for the oligonucleotide‐release transduction steps in drug‐delivering and biocomputing applications. This is illustrated by destabilizing the beads with citrate, which induces full oligonucleotide release with nondiffusional kinetics. 相似文献
