We present an approach that allows to produce the two-body density matrix during the density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) run without an additional increase in the current disk and memory requirements. The computational cost of producing the two-body density matrix is proportional to O(M3k2+M2k4). The method is based on the assumption that different elements of the two-body density matrix can be calculated during different steps of a sweep. Hence, it is desirable that the wave function at the convergence does not change during a sweep. We discuss the theoretical structure of the wave function ansatz used in DMRG, concluding that during the one-site DMRG procedure, the energy and the wave function are converging monotonically at every step of the sweep. Thus, the one-site algorithm provides an opportunity to obtain the two-body density matrix free from the N-representability problem. We explain the problem of local minima that may be encountered in the DMRG calculations. We discuss theoretically why and when the one- and two-site DMRG procedures may get stuck in a metastable solution, and we list practical solutions helping the minimization to avoid the local minima.  相似文献

A flow-injection system for detection of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity in human serum samples has been developed. As a specific and inexpensive ALP substrate for this kinetic assay monofluorophosphate (MFP) was applied. For detection of fluoride ions, generated in the course of the biocatalytic hydrolysis of MFP, conventional fluoride ion-selective electrode based on LaF3-crystalline membrane was applied. After optimization the system allows analysis of human serum with high selectivity and relatively short time of analysis (5–6 samples h−1). Volume of serum required for analysis is 0.05 mL. The system is useful for determination of the enzyme activity in human serum samples at physiological and pathological levels as well as for detection of isoenzymatic forms of ALP.  相似文献

7‐R‐9‐ethyl‐6,9‐dihydro‐6‐oxo‐[1,2,5]selenadiazolo[3,4‐h]quinolines (R = H, COOC2H5, COOCH3, COOH and COCH3, E1h , E2h , E3h , E4h , E5h ) and 6‐ethyl‐6,9‐dihydro‐9‐oxo‐[1,2,5]selenadiazolo[3,4‐f]quinoline ( E1f ) were characterized by UV/vis, FT‐IR and fluorescence spectroscopy. The electronic absorption spectra of the derivatives E1h , E2h , E3h and E5h in the aprotic solvents dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and acetonitrile (ACN) reveal low‐energy absorption maxima with λmax > 400 > nm, shifted hypsochromically in water. In DMSO, N‐ethyl selenadiazoloquinolones behave as strong fluorescent agents (λem ≥ 550 nm) with the exception of the carboxylic acid derivative E4h which shows only poor emission. Photoinduced reactions of N‐ethyl selenadiazoloquinolones were investigated by means of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Photoexcitation of N‐ethyl selenadiazoloquinolones in aerated DMSO with either 385 nm or 400 nm wavelengths, monitored by EPR spin trapping technique, results in the generation of superoxide radical anions; under an inert atmosphere, the generation of methyl radicals originating from the solvent predominates. Upon exposure at either 365 nm, 385 nm or 400 nm, aerated ACN solutions of selenadiazoloquinolones in the presence of sterically hindered amines produce nitroxide radicals via a reaction with photogenerated singlet oxygen. The 7‐substituted derivatives of 9‐ethyl‐6,9‐dihydro‐6‐oxo‐[1,2,5]selenadiazolo[3,4‐h]quinoline behave as photosensitizers activating molecular oxygen upon photoexcitation and possess the sufficient photochemical stability under the given experimental conditions. The cytotoxic effects of non‐photoactivated and UVA photoactivated N‐ethyl substituted selenadiazoloquinolones on cancer (human HeLa and murine L1210) and non‐cancer (NIH‐3T3) cell lines were monitored by the MTT test. It is known that the three-dimensional Navier–Stokes system for an incompressible fluid in the whole space has a one parameter family of explicit stationary solutions that are axisymmetric and homogeneous of degree −1. We have applied both palynological and carbon and nitrogen isotopic analyses of PM10 (particulate matter with a diameter of 10?μm or less) to trace its origin and to assess the anthropogenic impact for the area under study. The PM10 samples were collected in Wroc?aw (SW Poland) by the Regional Inspectorate for Environment Protection during the year 2007. The usefulness of the palynological observations in the case of PM10 is much lower than that for total suspended particles due to the resolution of absorbed particles, but is still helpful for distinguishing C(3)/C(4) plants that indicate long-distance transport of pollutants. The δ(13)C(PM10) values varied seasonally from-26.9 to-25.1‰. The δ(15)N(PM10) values showed chaotic fluctuations and varied from 5.0 to 13.7‰. Our results indicated that during the heating period, the PM10 particles in Wroc?aw are derived mainly from local home heaters, whereas in the growing period, PM10 particles are derived from local transport and are partially generated by the industrial application of coal combustion outside the city of Wroc?aw.  相似文献

Octadecyl (C18) groups are arguably the most popular ligands used for preparation of solid phase microextraction (SPME) devices. However, conventional C18-bonded silica particles are not fully compatible with the nearly 100% aqueous composition of typical biological samples (e.g., plasma, saliva, or urine). This study presents the first evaluation of thin-film SPME devices coated with special water-compatible C18-bonded particles. Device performance was assessed by extracting a mixture of 30 model compounds that exhibited various chemical structures and properties, such as hydrophobicity. Additionally, nine unique compositions of desorption solvents were tested. Thin-film SPME devices coated with C18-bonded silica particles with polar end-capping groups (10 µm) were compared with conventional trimethylsilane end-capped C18-bonded silica particles of various sizes (5, 10, and 45 µm) and characteristics. Polar end-capped particles provided the best extraction efficacy and were characterized by the strongest correlations between the efficacy of the extraction process and the hydrophobicity of the analytes. The results suggest that the original features of octadecyl ligands are best preserved in aqueous conditions by polar end-capped particles, unlike with conventional trimethylsilane end-capped particles that are currently used to prepare SPME devices. The benefits associated with this improved type of coating encourage further implementation of microextractraction as greener alternative to the traditional sample preparation methods.  相似文献

Polycations, mimicking activity of antibacterial peptides, belong to an important class of molecules investigated as a support or as an alternative to antibiotics. In this work, studies of modified linear amphiphilic statistical polymethyloxazoline (PMOX) and polyethyleneimine copolymers (PMOX_PEI) series are presented. Variation of PEI content in the structure results in controllable changes of polymeric aggregates zeta potential. The structure with the highest positive charge shows the best antimicrobial activity, well visible in tests against model Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, fungi, and mycobacterium strains. The polymer toxicity is evaluated with MTT and hemolysis assay as a reference. Quartz crystal microbalance (QCM‐D) is used to investigate interaction between polycations and a model lipid membrane. Polymer activity correlates well with molecular structure, showing that amphiphilic component is altering polymer behavior in contact with the lipid bilayer.  相似文献

Diabetes mellitus is characterized by tissue oxidative damage and impaired microcirculation, as well as worsened erythrocyte properties. Measurements of erythrocyte deformability together with determination of nitric oxide (NO) production and osmotic resistance were used for the characterization of erythrocyte functionality in lean (control) and obese Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rats of two age categories. Obese ZDF rats correspond to prediabetic (younger) and diabetic (older) animals. As antioxidants were suggested to protect erythrocytes, we also investigated the potential effect of quercetin (20 mg/kg/day for 6 weeks). Erythrocyte deformability was determined by the filtration method and NO production using DAF-2DA fluorescence. For erythrocyte osmotic resistance, we used hemolytic assay. Erythrocyte deformability and NO production deteriorated during aging—both were lower in older ZDF rats than in younger ones. Three-way ANOVA indicates improved erythrocyte deformability after quercetin treatment in older obese ZDF rats only, as it was not modified or deteriorated in both (lean and obese) younger and older lean animals. NO production by erythrocytes increased post treatment in all experimental groups. Our study indicates the potential benefit of quercetin treatment on erythrocyte properties in condition of diabetes mellitus. In addition, our results suggest potential age-dependency of quercetin effects in diabetes that deserve additional research.  相似文献

Non-equilibrium plasma was obtained by irradiating Al foils in vacuum with a femtosecond (fs) laser at intensities of the order of 1018 W/cm2. Protons and other light ions were accelerated in the forward direction by using the target-normal-sheath acceleration regime. Time-of-flight technique was employed to measure the ions' kinetic energy using SiC detectors placed at known distances and angles. The ion acceleration was monitored under different conditions of laser focal position, laser pulse energy, and laser contrast. The target was irradiated using different thicknesses and anti-reflecting graphene films. By optimizing the laser parameters, irradiation conditions, and target properties, it was possible to accelerate up to 2.3 MeV per charge state, as will be presented and discussed.  相似文献
