The performance of the standard hierarchy of ab initio models--that is, Hartree-Fock theory, second-order Moller-Plesset theory, coupled-cluster singles-and-doubles theory, and coupled-cluster singles-doubles-approximate-triples theory--in combination with correlation-consistent basis sets is investigated for equilibrium geometries of molecules containing second-row elements. From an analysis on a collection of 31 molecules (yielding statistical samples of 41 bond distances and 13 bond angles), the statistical errors (mean deviation, mean absolute deviation, standard deviation, and maximum absolute deviation) are established at each level of theory. The importance of core correlation is examined by comparing calculations in the frozen-core approximation with calculations where all electrons are correlated.  相似文献

In order to explore the influence of cation substitution on the vibrational dynamics of water molecules in zeolites, the evolution of structural properties of the O-H stretching band of water in fully hydrated Na-A and Mg-exchanged A zeolites has been studied, for different percentages of induced ion exchange, by Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflection spectroscopy as a function of temperature. The differences revealed in the O-H stretching band shapes have been accounted by fitting the spectra as a sum of four components, corresponding to water molecules exhibiting different types of hydrogen bonding. The dependencies of the relative intensities, peak wave numbers, and bandwidths of the resolved components on temperature and Mg2+ content have been discussed. Evidence of the "structure-maker" role played by a zeolitic surface on physisorbed water, systematically enhanced by increasing the percentage of induced ion exchange, is given in the whole explored temperature range.  相似文献

The verification of the cDNA-deduced sequence of the high molecular weight glutenin subunit 1Bx7 in Chinese Spring cultivar was achieved by direct matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOFMS) analysis of the tryptic fragments. The published sequence of the 1Bx7 subunit contains 5 Lys and 15 Arg residues but, due to the presence of three Arg-Pro bonds, which are generally resistant to cleavage by trypsin, or cleaved to a very limited extent by trypsin, 19 peptides can be predicted. The identification of the tryptic fragments was achieved by direct MALDI-MS analysis by using three different matrices (DHB, SA and HCCA) in combination with the most compatible sample preparation procedures in order to obtain the maximum sequence coverage. MALDI analysis of the 1Bx7 tryptic digest resulted in the identification of the expected peptides and additional fragments arising from non-specific cleavages; the fragments that were not detected are peptides with low mass (from 147.2 to 317.4), so we obtained a sequence coverage of 98.8%. The results reported here also indicated that the sequence of the 1Bx7 subunit from cv. Chinese Spring is different from the cDNA-deduced sequence reported in the literature; in particular, a possible insertion of the hexapeptide QPGQGQ within the sequence Gln630-Tyr725 was suggested. Finally, it is possible to rule out glycosylation of the 1Bx7 subunit, or any other post-translational modification, to within the detection limits of the method.  相似文献

Electrode reactions followed by very fast chemical reactions are considered. A simple approach, in which steady state and linear concentration profiles in the reaction layer are assumed, is proposed for the simulation of these processes when the substrate is not present in large excess. When the substrate/depolarizer mole ratio is less than one, two well-separated peaks are detected; under such conditions, working curves that enable the corresponding second-order homogeneous rate constant to be evaluated can be derived by the finite-difference simulation technique. The method is applied to elucidation of the reduction of the tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)nickel(I) complex in the presence of hydrogen ions in acetonitrile at ?30°C.  相似文献

This note aims to subsume several apparently unrelated models under a common framework. Several examples of well-known quantum field theories are listed which are connected via stochastic quantization. We highlight the fact that the quantization method used to obtain the quantum crystal is a discrete analog of stochastic quantization. This model is of interest for string theory, since the (classical) melting crystal corner is related to the topological A-model. We outline several ideas for interpreting the quantum crystal on the string theory side of the correspondence, exploring interpretations in the Wheeler–De Witt framework and in terms of a non-Lorentz invariant limit of topological M-theory.  相似文献

We investigate the relationship between the temporal variation in the magnitude of occipital visual evoked potentials (VEPs) and of haemodynamic measures of brain activity obtained using both blood oxygenation level dependent (BOLD) and perfusion sensitive (ASL) functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Volunteers underwent a continuous BOLD fMRI scan and/or a continuous perfusion-sensitive (gradient and spin echo readout) ASL scan, during which 30 second blocks of contrast reversing visual stimuli (at 4 Hz) were interleaved with 30 second blocks of rest (visual fixation). Electroencephalography (EEG) and fMRI were simultaneously recorded and following EEG artefact cleaning, VEPs were averaged across the whole stimulation block (120 reversals, VEP120) and at a finer timescale (15 reversals, VEP15). Both BOLD and ASL time-series were linearly modelled to establish: (1) the mean response to visual stimulation, (2) transient responses at the start and end of each stimulation block, (3) the linear decrease between blocks, (4) the nonlinear between-block variation (covariation with VEP120), (5) the linear decrease within block and (6) the nonlinear variation within block (covariation with VEP15).  相似文献

Demonstrations of the possibility of obtaining functional information from the spinal cord in humans using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) have been growing in number and sophistication, but the technique and the results that it provides are still perceived by the scientific community with a greater degree of scepticism than fMRI investigations of brain function. Here we review the literature on spinal fMRI in humans during voluntary movements and somatosensory stimulation. Particular attention is given to study design, acquisition and statistical analysis of the images, and to the agreement between the obtained results and existing knowledge regarding spinal cord anatomy and physiology.  相似文献
