This work focuses on the prediction of the turbulent flow in a three-dimensionial Confined Impinging Jets Reactor with a cylindrical reaction chamber by using Large Eddy Simulation. Three-dimensional unsteady simulations with different sub-grid scale models, numerical schemes and boundary conditions were performed for various flow rates, covering different flow regimes. First, a qualitative analysis of the flow field was carried out and then predictions of the mean and fluctuating velocities were compared with micro Particle Image Velocimetry data. Good agreement was found both for the mean velocity components and the fluctuations. For low to moderate Reynolds numbers the sub-grid scale model was found not to be very relevant, since small scales are of less importance, as long as scalar transport and chemical reaction are not in play. An important finding is the good prediction of the high velocity fluctuations detected in particular at higher Reynolds number due to the natural instability of the system, strongly enforced by the jets unsteadiness.  相似文献

The chemical composition of the essential oil from the aerial parts of Anacyclus monanthos subsp. cyrtolepidioides (Pomel) Humphries (Asteraceae) growing in a semi-arid region of Algeria was investigated for the first time. The essential oil was obtained by hydrodistillation and fully characterized by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). A total of 97 compounds were identified. The essential oil was found to be rich in trans-chrysanthenyl acetate (9.8 ± 2.0%), (E)-β-farnesene (7.4 ± 1.5%), germacrene D (6.9 ± 1.3%) and myristicin (4.8 ± 0.8%).  相似文献

In this paper, the performance of an organic Rankine cycle with a zeotropic mixture as a working fluid was evaluated using exergy-based methods: exergy, exergoeconomic, and exergoenvironmental analyses. The effect of system operation parameters and mixtures on the organic Rankine cycle’s performance was evaluated as well. The considered performances were the following: exergy efficiency, specific cost, and specific environmental effect of the net power generation. A multi-objective optimization approach was applied for parametric optimization. The approach was based on the particle swarm algorithm to find a set of Pareto optimal solutions. One final optimal solution was selected using a decision-making method. The optimization results indicated that the zeotropic mixture of cyclohexane/toluene had a higher thermodynamic and economic performance, while the benzene/toluene zeotropic mixture had the highest environmental performance. Finally, a comparative analysis of zeotropic mixtures and pure fluids was conducted. The organic Rankine cycle with the mixtures as working fluids showed significant improvement in energetic, economic, and environmental performances.  相似文献
