Weak photon absorption and fast carrier kinetics in graphene restrict its applications in photosensitive reactions. Such restrictions/limitations can be overcome by covalent coupling of another photosensitive nanostructure to graphene, forming graphene‐semiconductor nanocomposites. Herein, we report one‐pot synthesis of RGO–Ag3VO4 nanocomposites using various sacrificial agents like ethanol, methanol, propanol and ethylene glycol (EG) under visible light illumination. The Raman spectral analysis and 13C MAS NMR suggest ethanol to be the best sacrificial agent among those studied. Thermal analysis studies, further, confirm the stability of the synthesized nanocomposite with ethanol as sacrificial agent. In view of this, the activity toward dye degradation was focused over the composites prepared via ethanol as sacrificial agent. It was observed and proved that cationic dyes could be degraded quantitatively and swiftly compared to anionic dyes (37.79%) in 1.5 h. This suggests that the surface of the nanocomposites is anionic as partial reduction takes place during synthesis process. In case of mixed dye degradation process, it was noticed that the presence of cationic dye doubles the degradation of anionic dye. The activity of these synthesized nanocomposites is more than five‐fold toward the phototransformation of phenol and photodegradation of textile dyes under visible light illumination. 相似文献

Poly(β amino ester) (PβAE) polymers have received growing attention in the literature, owing to their ease of synthesis, versatile co‐monomer selection, and highly tunable degradation kinetics. As such, they have shown extensive potential in many biomedical applications as well. In this work, it is demonstrated for the first time that PβAE polymers containing primary and secondary amine groups can undergo degradation by primary alcohols via transesterification mechanism. While this work emphasizes an important aspect of solvent compatibility of these networks, it also represents an interesting, simple mechanism for post synthesis drug incorporation, with riboflavin conjugation being demonstrated as a model compound. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Axial rotational diffusion of rodlike polymers is important in processes such as microtubule filament sliding and flagella beating. By imaging the motion of small kinks along the backbone of chains of DNA-linked colloids, we produce a direct and systematic measurement of axial rotational diffusivity of rods both in bulk solution and near a wall. The measured diffusivities decrease linearly with the chain length, irrespective of the distance from a wall, in agreement with slender-body hydrodynamics theory. Moreover, the presence of small kinks does not affect the chain's axial diffusivity. Our system and measurements provide insights into fundamental axial diffusion processes of slender objects, which encompass a wide range of entities including biological filaments and linear polymer chains. 相似文献

Oxidative metabolites of arachidonic acid (AA) are implicated in inflammation. Thus, we evaluated cycloxygenases (COXs) and lipoxygenases (LOs) mediated metabolism of AA to eicosanoids in equine plasma. Eicosanoids were extracted from plasma by two liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) steps; first was by chloroform/isopropanol and second by methyl-tert-butyl ether. For identification and quantification of 25 eicosanoids, a highly specific, selective and sensitive stable isotope dilution liquid chromatography (LC) multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mass spectrometric (MS) method was developed. To avoid artifact formation of eicosanoids, deferoxamine was added to plasma to chelate residual transition metal ions. The calibration curve showed excellent linearity within 0.1 to 10 ng/mL. Slopes of the calibration curves generated by adding known quantities of eicosanoids in plasma were higher than those prepared in methanol/mobile phase A. Addition of deferoxamine decreased the slope of calibration curves generated using plasma. Limit of detection (LOD) was 1-10 pg on-column for 25 different eicosanoids. Inter-day accuracy was 86-111%, whereas intra-day accuracy was from 88-110%, and precision did not exceed 15% for all quality control (QC) samples. To evaluate the formation of eicosanoids, AA was exogenously added or endogenous AA was released from esterified lipids by calcium ionophore (CI) A23187 treatment of equine whole blood. Pre-treatment of equine whole blood with dexamethasone (DEX) significantly inhibited AA or CI A23187- mediated formation of eicosanoids. The validated method is now employed in studies undertaken to better understand the mechanism of action and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics of eicosanoids after administration of glucocorticoids to horses. laser operating at 16 kHz pulse repetition rate. The laser active medium was confined within a fused silica tube of ∼6 cm
diameter and ∼200 cm active length. An in-house developed high-power (∼10 kW) solidstate pulser was used as the electrical
excitation source. A simple estimation of deposited electrical power, at the laser head, was carried out and based on it,

The equivalence between the interval-valued fuzzy set (IVFS) and the intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) is exploited to study linear programming problems involving interval uncertainty modeled using IFS. The non-membership of IFS is constructed with three different viewpoints viz., optimistic, pessimistic, and mixed. These constructions along with their indeterminacy factors result in S-shaped membership functions in the fuzzy counterparts of the intuitionistic fuzzy linear programming models. The solution methodology of Yang et al. [45], and its subsequent generalization by Lin and Chen [33] are used to compute the optimal solutions of the three fuzzy linear programming models. 相似文献

We demonstrate a technique for the enhancement of chaos in a computational model of a periodically stimulated excitable neuron. "Anticontrol" of chaos is achieved through intermittent adaptive intervention, which is based on finite-time Lyapunov exponents measured from the time series. Our results suggest that an adaptive strategy for chaos anticontrol is viable for increasing the complexity in physiological systems that are typically both noisy and nonstationary. 相似文献

In the present work, experimental and numerical studies for the hydrodynamics in a gas–solid tapered fluidized bed have been carried out. The experimental results obtained by carrying out experiments in a tapered fluidized bed for glass bead (spherical) of 2.0 mm and dolomite (non-spherical particles) of 2.215 mm in diameter, were compared with the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation results, using a commercial CFD software package, Fluent. The gas–solid flow was simulated using the Eulerian–Eulerian model and applying the kinetic theory of granular flow for solid particles. The Gidaspow drag model was used to calculate the gas–solid momentum exchange coefficients. Pressure drops predicted by the CFD simulations agreed reasonably well with experimental measurements for both types (spherical and non-spherical) of particles. Good agreement was also obtained between experimental and CFD predicted bed expansion ratios for both types of particles. Present study provides a useful basis for further works on the CFD of tapered fluidized bed. 相似文献

Two new imide-based crystalline, porous, and chemically stable covalent organic frameworks (COFs) (TpBDH and TfpBDH) have been successfully synthesized employing solvothermal crystallization route. Furthermore, thin layered covalent organic nanosheets (CONs) were derived from these bulk COFs by the simple liquid phase exfoliation method. These 2D CONs showcase increased luminescence intensity compared to their bulk counterparts (COFs). Notably, TfpBDH-CONs showcase good selectivity and prominent, direct visual detection towards different nitroaromatic analytes over TpBDH-CONs. Quite interestingly, TfpBDH-CONs exhibit a superior “turn-on” detection capability for 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP) in the solid state, but conversely, they also show a “turn-off” detection in the dispersion state. These findings describe a new approach towards developing an efficient, promising fluorescence chemosensor material for both visual and spectroscopic detection of nitroaromatic compounds with very low [10–5 (M)] analyte concentrations. 相似文献
