In this paper we study interesting properties of Fisher and divergence type measures of information for quantal, complete and incomplete random censoring, and not censoring at all. It is shown that, while quantal random censoring is less expensive, it is less informative than complete random censoring. It is also shown that in experiments which are mixtures of quantal and complete random censoring, the information received from these experiments is a convex combination of quantal information and the information in complete random censoring. Finally, the "total information" property is studied, in which the information received by the uncensored experiment can be expressed as the sum of the information provided by random censoring and the loss of information due to censoring. The results for Fisher's measure of information are an extension of already known results to the multiparameter case. The investigation of the previous information properties for divergence type measures is a new element, as well as the comparison of byproducts of Fisher information matrices. 相似文献

This intermediate served as a test substrate for a rapid screen of a small library (152 members) of peptide-based kinetic resolution catalysts. Summary The thiocarbamic esters (L)ETC(EtOSCNHEt) and PTC (EtOSCNHPr) act as sulphur donors towards platinum halides, yielding the cis-[Pt(L)2Cl2], trans-[Pt(L)2Br2], [Pt(L)3X]X (X = Cl or Br) and [Pt(L)4]X2 (X = Cl, Br or I) complexes. By addition of n-hexane to platinum chloride solutions in pure ligands the 16 adducts [Pt(L)4]-Cl2·2L have been isolated. The non-bonded ligand molecules are easily released to give the corresponding 14 complexes. The compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopy. The 14 and 16 complexes decompose in benzene to form the 13 species, except for [Pt(ETC)4]I2, which releases two ligand molecules to give trans-[Pt(ETC)2I2]. Ceramides are the most important intercellular lipids of the stratum corneum, regulating the barrier function of the skin and participating as second signal messenger in stress-induced apoptosis. The high lipophilicity of ceramides presents a pharmacological problem. In order to overcome this problem two lipophilic delivery systems were used for the incorporation of the ceramides: (1) nanoemulsions (NE) and (2) solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN). The influence of the incorporation of ceramides on the particle shape, size and Polydispersity Index was investigated by photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that NE can incorporate larger amounts of ceramides than SLN (up to 23.2% and 5% of lipid matrix, respectively) without any significant alteration on the morphology of the dispersed particles. The incorporation of higher amounts of ceramides into SLN, leads to anisometric platelet-like formations that are known to be caused by the transition of triglycerides from - to β-mesomorph. The results of this study can be useful for the design of appropriate delivery systems and for further pharmacological evaluations. 相似文献

Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is a key component of the Mediterranean diet, with several health benefits derived from its consumption. Moreover, due to its eminent market position, EVOO has been thoroughly studied over the last several years, aiming at its authentication, but also to reveal the chemical profile inherent to its beneficial properties. In the present work, a comparative study was conducted to assess Greek EVOOs’ quality and authentication utilizing different analytical approaches, both targeted and untargeted. 173 monovarietal EVOOs from three emblematic Greek cultivars (Koroneiki, Kolovi and Adramytiani), obtained during the harvesting years of 2018–2020, were analyzed and quantified as per their fatty acids methyl esters (FAMEs) composition via the official method (EEC) No 2568/91, as well as their bioactive content through liquid chromatography coupled to high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) methodology. In addition to FAMEs analysis, EVOO samples were also analyzed via HRMS-untargeted metabolomics and optical spectroscopy techniques (visible absorption, fluorescence and Raman). The data retrieved from all applied techniques were analyzed with Machine Learning methods for the authentication of the EVOOs’ variety. The models’ predictive performance was calculated through test samples, while for further evaluation 30 commercially available EVOO samples were also examined in terms of variety. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study where different techniques from the fields of standard analysis, spectrometry and optical spectroscopy are applied to the same EVOO samples, providing strong insight into EVOOs chemical profile and a comparative evaluation through the different platforms. 相似文献
