This paper reports an analytical method for the comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC x GC) separation and identification of nitrogen compounds (N-compounds) in middle distillates according to their types (basicity). For the evaluation of the best chromatographic conditions, a non-polar x polar approach was chosen. The impact of the second dimension (stationary phase and column length) on the separation of basic and neutral N-compounds was evaluated by mean of two-dimensional resolution. This study revealed that the implementation of polar secondary column having free electron pairs improves drastically the separation of N-compounds. Indeed, the presence of permanent dipole-permanent dipole interactions between neutral N-compounds and the stationary phase was enlightened. The comparison of two different nitrogen chemiluminescence detectors (NCD) was also evaluated for GC x GC selective monitoring of N-compounds. Owing to higher resolution power and enhanced sensitivity achieved using developed chromatographic and detection conditions, it was possible to identify univocally and to quantitate N-compounds (i) by class of compounds and (ii), within a class, by carbon number. Finally, quantitative comparison of GC x GC-NCD with conventional gas chromatography illustrates the benefits of GC x GC leading to an excellent correlation with results obtained by American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) methods for the determination of basic/neutral nitrogen ratio in diesel samples.  相似文献

Ion-molecule reactions involving methyl isocyanide and methyl cyanide have been performed in a new rf-only hexapole collision cell inserted in a large-scale tandem mass spectrometer. Beside protonation processes, N-methyl cyanogen ions (CH(3)N(+)CCN) and 1-methyleneiminium-1- ethylenium ions (CH(2)CN(+)CH(2)) have been produced in high yield and fully characterized by high-energy collisional activation. The unimolecular chemistry of the molecular ions of caffeine (1,3,7-trimethyl xanthine) has been revisited on the basis of these new results.  相似文献

In the present study, the heat-induced interaction between whey proteins and casein micelles was studied. To that end, the particle size distribution of 5.5% (w/w) casein micellar dispersions was determined by photon correlation spectroscopy as a function of both the whey protein concentration and heating time at 80 °C. The results clearly indicated that heat-induced aggregation of the casein micelles only occurred in the presence of whey proteins.

In an effort to overcome the heat-induced interactions between whey proteins and casein micelles, the influence of different soybean lecithins was investigated. Comparing native to hydrolysed, as well as hydroxylated soybean lecithin, it was observed that the heat-stabilising effect of the lecithins was directly related to their hydrophilicity: whereas native soybean lecithin had hardly any beneficial effect, highly hydrolysed as well as hydroxylated soybean lecithin largely prevented heat-induced casein micelle aggregation in the presence of whey proteins.

From experimental observations on the heat-induced decrease of whey protein solubility both in the absence and presence of hydrolysed lecithin, it was deduced that the latter may stabilise the exposed hydrophobic surface sites of heat-denatured whey proteins. Dynamic surface tension measurements indicated that the heat-stabilising properties of lecithins were mainly determined by their critical aggregation concentration.  相似文献

Dye and heavy metal contaminants are mainly aquatic pollutants. Although many materials and methods have been developed to remove these pollutants from water, effective and cheap materials and methods are still challenging. In this study, highly porous hydroxyapatite/graphene oxide/chitosan beads (HGC) were prepared by a facile one-step method and investigated as efficient adsorbents. The prepared beads showed a high porosity and low bulk density. SEM images indicated that the hydroxyapatite (HA) nanoparticles and graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets were well dispersed on the CTS matrix. FT-IR spectra confirmed good incorporation of the three components. The adsorption behavior of the obtained beads to methylene blue (MB) and copper ions was investigated, including the effect of the contact time, pH medium, dye/metal ion initial concentration, and recycle ability. The HGC beads showed rapid adsorption, high capacity, and easy separation and reused due to the porous characteristics of GO sheets and HA nanoparticles as well as the rich negative charges of the chitosan (CTS) matrix. The maximum sorption capacities of the HGC beads were 99.00 and 256.41 mg g−1 for MB and copper ions removal, respectively.  相似文献

Analysing the equilibrium state of the formation reaction of the high-Tc superconducting phase 1:2:3 (YBa2Cu3O7−x) on the base of the pressure-temperature-oxygen content (P-Tx) correlation research and using the Van't-Hoff equation, the Gibbs free energy (ΔGm) of the reaction has been calculated for the first time. It is seen that the absolute value of ΔGm is not large and of the order of 2.5 kcal · mole−1. This leads to an instability of the 1:2:3 phase. Also, from the calculated values of ΔGm relative stability regions of the 1:2:3 phase are determined for different values of x. Combinatively analysing the relation lg P = AB/T (where A – the x-dependent constant, and value of B was determined to be equal to 10518 atm. K) and the value of ΔGm, we come to the conclusion that the synthesis of YBa2Cu3O7 − x when x → 0 must be carried out under high oxygen pressure and low temperature for a lasting time, because the reaction rate is limited by slow diffusion in the solid phase.  相似文献

Essential oils are promising as environmentally friendly and safe sources of pesticides for human use. Furthermore, they are also of interest as aromatherapeutic agents in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, and inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) has been evaluated as an important mechanism. The essential oils of some species in the genera Callicarpa, Premna, Vitex and Karomia of the family Lamiaceae were evaluated for inhibition of electric eel AChE using the Ellman method. The essential oils of Callicarpa candicans showed promising activity, with IC50 values between 45.67 and 58.38 μg/mL. The essential oils of Callicarpa sinuata, Callicarpa petelotii, Callicarpa nudiflora, Callicarpa erioclona and Vitex ajugifolia showed good activity with IC50 values between 28.71 and 54.69 μg/mL. The essential oils Vitex trifolia subsp. trifolia and Callicarpa rubella showed modest activity, with IC50 values of 81.34 and 89.38, respectively. trans-Carveol showed an IC50 value of 102.88 µg/mL. Molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation were performed on the major components of the studied essential oils to investigate the possible mechanisms of action of potential inhibitors. The results obtained suggest that these essential oils may be used to control mosquito vectors that transmit pathogenic viruses or to support the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.  相似文献

Gallium nitride (GaN) is a wide bandgap semiconductor with remarkable chemical and thermal stability, making it a competitive candidate for a variety of optoelectronic applications. In this study, GaN films are grown using a plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) with trimethylgallium (TMG) and NH3 plasma. The effect of substrate temperature on growth mechanism and properties of the PEALD GaN films is systematically studied. The experimental results show that the self-limiting surface chemical reactions occur in the substrate temperature range of 250–350 °C. The substrate temperature strongly affects the crystalline structure, which is nearly amorphous at below 250 °C, with (100) as the major phase at below 400 °C, and (002) dominated at higher temperatures. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy spectra reveals the unintentional oxygen incorporation into the films in the forms of Ga2O3 and Ga-OH. The amount of Ga-O component decreases, whereas the Ga-Ga component rapidly increases at 400 and 450 °C, due to the decomposition of TMG. The substrate temperature of 350 °C with the highest amount of Ga-N bonds is, therefore, considered the optimum substrate temperature. This study is helpful for improving the quality of PEALD GaN films.  相似文献

This study was performed to investigate the effects of different supplemental light spectra and doses (duration and illuminance) on the essential oil of basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) cultivated in the net-house in Vietnam during four months. Ten samples of basil aerial parts were hydrodistilled to obtain essential oils which had the average yields from 0.88 to 1.30% (v/w, dry). The oils analyzed using GC-FID and GC-MS showed that the main component was methyl chavicol (87.4–90.6%) with the highest values found in the oils of basil under lighting conditions of 6 h/day and 150–200 µmol·m−2·s−1. Additional lighting conditions caused the significant differences (p < 0.001) in basil biomass and oil production with the highest values found in the oils of basil under two conditions of (1) 71% Red: 20% Blue: 9.0% UVA in at 120 μmol·m−2·s−1 in 6 h/day and (2) 43.5% Red: 43.5% Blue: 8.0% Green: 5.0% Far-Red at 100 μmol·m−2·s−1 in 6 h/day. The oils of basil in some formulas showed weak inhibitory effects on only the Bacillus subtilis strain. Different light spectra affect the biomass and essential oil production of basil, as well as the concentrations of the major components in the oil.  相似文献
