This study reports a reactive extrusion process leading to very high levels of anhydride grafting (2.5–3 wt %) along polypropylene backbone without recovering grafted PP waxes at the die exit. Such high graftings are attainable without excessive degradation of the PP chain by using a brominated reagent. Simultaneously, this brominated reagent allows the tuning of the grafted PP crystallinity via epimerization of the PP backbone. Indeed, the synthesis of a mainly isotactic/atactic stereoblock polymer containing high levels of grafted succinic anhydride moieties is demonstrated by NMR and melting enthalpies recorded by DSC are definitely observed depressed and broadened. Grafting levels of around 3 wt % have been achieved and ascertained by both chemical titration and NMR spectroscopy. In addition, FTIR spectroscopy reveals an unusual observation: for the first time, only one single pair of symmetric and asymmetric carbonyl stretching bands are observed on those grafted PP, while, in other processes of anhydride grafting, those symmetric and asymmetric bands were both split in at least two bands. This suggests, for the here reported process, the absence of interacting grafted anhydride rings, i.e., absence of closely grafted anhydride moieties and absence of poly(maleic anhydride). In this paper we consider strongly polynomial variations of the auction algorithm for the single origin/many destinations shortest path problem. These variations are based on the idea of graph reduction, that is, deleting unnecessary arcs of the graph by using certain bounds naturally obtained in the course of the algorithm. We study the structure of the reduced graph and we exploit this structure to obtain algorithms withO (n min{m, n logn}) andO(n
2) running time. The optical response of the intersubband excitation of multiple two-dimensional electron gases within a semiconductor microcavity has been studied through angle-dependent reflectance measurements. Using a resonator based on total internal reflection, a clear splitting of about 14 meV of the coupled intersubband cavity modes is observed from 10 K to room temperature, with resulting polaritonlike dispersion. The experimental findings are in good agreement with theoretical calculations performed in a transfer-matrix formalism. 相似文献

We present an algorithmic model for distributed computation of fixed points whereby several processors participate simultaneously
in the calculations while exchanging information via communication links. We place essentially no assumptions on the ordering
of computation and communication between processors thereby allowing for completely uncoordinated execution. We provide a
general convergence theorem for algorithms of this type, and demonstrate its applicability to several classes of problems
including the calculation of fixed points of contraction and monotone mappings arising in linear and nonlinear systems of
equations, optimization problems, shortest path problems, and dynamic programming.

The synthesis and structure of the first Mo/Fe/S/BH(4) cluster is reported. Reaction of (Cl(4)-cat)(2)Mo(2)Fe(6)S(8)(PPr(3))(6) with 4 equiv of Bu(4)NBH(4) results in the formation of [(Cl(4)-cat)(PPr(3))MoFe(3)S(4)(BH(4))(2)](2)(Bu(4)N)(4) (Cl(4)-cat = tetrachloro-catecholate) which has been fully characterized. X-ray structural determination of this double-fused cubane reveals four BH(4)(-) ligands bound to four Fe atoms in a bidentate fashion. A synopsis of the solution characterization as well as the reactivity of this cluster is also presented. 相似文献

A novel technique for detection and discrimination of artificial objects, such as land mines, pipes, containers, etc., buried in the ground, has been developed and tested. The developed approach utilizes vibration (using seismic or airborne acoustic waves) of buried objects, remote measurements of soil surface vibration (using laser or microwave vibrometers), and processing of the measured vibration to extract mine's "vibration signatures." The technique does not depend upon the material from which the mine is fabricated whether it be metal, plastic, wood, or any other material. It depends upon the fact that a mine is a "container" whose purpose is to contain explosive materials and associated detonation apparatus. The mine container is in contact with the soil in which it is buried. The container is an acoustically compliant article, whose compliance is notably different from the compliance of the surrounding soil. Dynamic interaction of the compliant container and soil on top of it leads to specific linear and nonlinear effects used for mine detection and discrimination. The mass of the soil on top of a compliant container creates a classical mass-spring system with a well-defined resonance response. Besides, the connection between mass (soil) and spring (mine) is not elastic (linear) but rather nonlinear, due to the separation of the soil/mine interface in the tensile phase of applied dynamic stress. These two effects, constituting the mine's vibration signature have been measured in numerous laboratory and field tests, which proved that the resonance and nonlinear responses of a mine/soil system can be used for detection and discrimination of buried mines. Thus, the fact that the mine is buried is turned into a detection advantage. Because the seismo-acoustic technique intrinsically detects buried containers, it can discriminate mines from noncompliant false targets such as rocks, tree roots, chunks of metal, bricks, etc. This was also confirmed experimentally in laboratory and field tests. 相似文献
