It has been found that a striking correlation exists between the plasman energy in solids and the chemical shifts of the X-ray K-absorption edges of the transition elements Cr, Cu, Ni, Co, Zn and their compounds. Fairly good agreement between the calculated values of the plasmon energies and the observed values of the chemical shifts has been obtained.  相似文献

Using Phillips and Van Vechten theory [1–3], the values of the homopolar gap, ionic gap and Penn gap have been evaluated for thirty-one chalcopyrites. The values so derived have been found in accordance with the values obtained from the Penn model and the Phillips model. Using the above parameters the microhardness has been determined. The values obtained are in agreement with experimental data. The electronic polarizabilities have also been evaluated using the Clausius-Mossotti relation. The values are in agreement with the ordinary sums of the polarizabilities of individual bonds.  相似文献

The connectivity index has been used to evaluate the π-bond energy of alternant and non-alternant hydrocarbons. A new varient of IOC-ωtechnique has also been used for the evaluation of π-bond energy. These methods have now been used to evaluate heats of formation for both types of molecules. A comparative study reveals that the connectivity index based values are generally in better agreement with the experimental values than those obtained with the proposed new varient of the IOC-ωtechnique.  相似文献

Summary Frictional coefficients between membrane matrix and permeants have been evaluated for ThO2/DMF system. The degrees of coupling q and the maximum value of the efficiencies of electrokinetic energy conversion, max, for both the modes of conversion, viz., electro-osmotic flow and streaming potential have been calculated from these coefficients and the results have been found to be in accordance with non-equilibrium thermodynamic theories. The values of frictional coefficients have also been used for characterising the membrane, viz., in determining the equivalent pore radii and the number of pores.With 2 tables  相似文献

In rf-collapse of hyperfine field of soft ferromagnetic metal samples, ambiguity arises due to eddy current heating that rf field induces, which progressively narrows the Hfs-spectrum with increasing rf power, ultimately reducing it to a single unsplit line above Curie point. We report experiments with perforated permalloy foils. In these, path for local eddy current loops are broken reducing the eddy current heating, as against only removal of heat generated, in many previous collapse studies. The effect of rf-collapse can be demonstrated conclusively when it is seen in conjuction with presence of internal magnetic field. For this purpose, we took spectra in switched rf field experiments, where rf switch-OFF and ON cycle was synchronised to the two halves of velocity sweep. Results clearly shows Hfs-spectrum when rf field is OFF and rf-collapse when rf field is ON.  相似文献

Reduced population coefficients for He(I) and He(II) levels, both for optically thin and partially optically thick conditions, have been calculated from a collisional-radiative model using recent experimental and theoretical cross sections. The calculated population densities are compared with experimental results on helium plasmas. Agreement with experimental results is better at low electron temperatures.  相似文献

Experiments designed to demonstrate the photoproduction of hydrogen using liquid membrane bilayers generated from mixtures of bacteriorhodopsin and chloroplast extract are reported.
