Anatase films exhibiting ~100% (001) reactive facets at the surface were grown hydrothermally on gold substrate from a homogeneous solution of TiF(4) and NaF. In addition to NaF, it was found that TiO(2) films with very similar properties could be prepared with the fluoride salts LiF, CsF, HF, NH(4)F, and N(CH(2)CH(3))(4)F. The polycrystalline anatase films are continuous, approximately 1 μm thick, and evenly coat the substrate. The surface grain size is ~400 nm. Grazing angle XRD measurements show that the films exhibit a high degree of preferred orientation with the c-axis normal to the substrate surface. SEM images reveal that the grains span the thickness of the films. Annealing the films at 500 °C removes fluorine and causes crystallites within the grains to restructure as shown by SEM, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy. Supported anatase films grown from this one-pot method may serve as oxidative photocatalysts and electrodes for photoelectrochemical applications such as solar cells and hydrogen evolution.  相似文献

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) should constitute an important natural step towards the improvement of the analytical performance of microfluidic electrochemical sensing. SWCNTs inherently offer lower detection potentials, higher surfaces and better stability than the existing carbon electrodes. However, pristine SWCNTs contain some carbonaceous and metallic impurities that influence their electrochemical performance. Thus, an appropriate processing method is important for obtaining high purity SWCNTs for analytical applications. In this work, a set of 0.1 mg mL(-1) SWCNT dispersions with different degrees of purity and different dispersants (SDBS; pluronic F68 and DMF) was carefully characterized by near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy giving a Purity Index (NIR-PI) ranging from 0.039 to 0.310. The highest purity was obtained when air oxidized SWCNTs were dispersed in SDBS, followed by centrifugation. The SWCNT dispersions were utilized to modify microfluidic chip electrodes for the electrochemical sensing of dopamine and catechol. In comparison with non-SWCNT-based electrodes, the sample with the highest NIR-PI (0.310) exhibited the best analytical performance in terms of improved sensitivity (3-folds higher), very good signal-to-noise ratio, high resistance-to-fouling in terms of relative standard deviation (RSD 7%; n = 15), and enhanced resolution (2-folds higher). In addition, very well-defined concentration dependence was also obtained with excellent correlation coefficients (r ≥ 0.990). Likewise, a good analytical sensitivity, suitable detection limits (LODs) and a very good precision with independence of the concentration assayed (RSDs ≤ 5%) was achieved. These valuable features indicate the suitability of this material for quantitative analysis. NIR-PI and further TEM and XRD characterization demonstrated that the analytical response was driven and controlled by the high NIR-PI of the SWCNTs used. The significance of this work is the demonstration for the first time of the sensitivity-purity relationship in SWCNT microfluidic chips. A novel and valuable analytical tool for electrochemical sensing has been developed: SWCNTs with high purity and a rich surface chemistry with functional groups, both essential for analytical purposes. Also, this work helps to better understand the analytical potency of SWCNTs coupled to microfluidic chips and it opens new gates for using these unique dispersions in real-world applications.  相似文献

The simultaneous separation and determination of organic acids in several samples of white and red Port wines was performed by capillary zone electrophoresis using indirect UV detection with 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid as a background electrolyte buffer. Operational parameters like migration time, temperature, voltage and capillary length were optimized. Sixteen samples of red wine and four samples of white wine were used to analyze for tartaric, malic, lactic, succinic and acetic acids using glyoxylic acid as the internal standard. The method is rapid, sensitive and quantitative, and time-consuming sample preparation, such as solid-phase extraction or liquid-liquid extraction procedure, is not required.  相似文献

Three (1,8,15,22-tetrasubstituted phthalocyaninato)lead complexes Pb[Pc(alpha-OR)(4)] [H(2)Pc(alpha-OC(5)H(11))(4) = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyanine; H(2)Pc(alpha-OC(7)H(15))(4) = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(2,4-dimethyl-3-pentyloxy)phthalocyanine; H(2)Pc(alpha-OC(10)H(7))(4) = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(2-naphthyloxy)phthalocyanine] (1-3) have been prepared as racemic mixtures by treating the corresponding metal-free phthalocyanines H(2)Pc(alpha-OR)(4) (4-6) with Pb(OAc)(2).3H(2)O in refluxing n-pentanol. The molecular structure of Pb[Pc(alpha-OC(5)H(11))(4)] (1) in the solid state has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. This compound, having a nonplanar structure, crystallizes in the monoclinic system with a P2(1)/c space group. Each unit cell contains two pairs of enantiomeric molecules, which are linked by weak coordination of the Pb atom of one molecule with an aza nitrogen atom and its neighboring oxygen atom from the alkoxy substituent of another molecule, forming a pseudo-double-decker supramolecular structure in the crystals with a short ring-to-ring separation, 2.726 A, and thus a strong ring-ring pi-pi interaction. The decreased molecular symmetry for these complexes has also been revealed by the NMR spectra of 1 and 2. The methyl protons of the 3-pentyloxy and 2,4-dimethyl-3-pentyloxy side chains of 1 and 2, respectively, are chemically inequivalent. In addition to the elemental analysis and various spectroscopic characterizations, these compounds have also been electrochemically studied. Two one-electron oxidations and up to five one-electron reductions have been revealed by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods.  相似文献

The analysis of the folding mechanism in peptides adopting well‐defined secondary structure is fundamental to understand protein folding. Herein, we describe the thermal unfolding of a 15‐mer vascular endothelial growth factor mimicking α‐helical peptide (QKL10A) through the combination of spectroscopic and computational analyses. In particular, on the basis of the temperature dependencies of QKL10A Hα chemical shifts we show that the first phase of the thermal helix unfolding, ending at around 320 K, involves mainly the terminal regions. A second phase of the transition, ending at around 333 K, comprises the central helical region of the peptide. The determination of high‐resolution QKL10A conformational preferences in water at 313 K allowed us to identify, at atomic resolution, one intermediate of the folding–unfolding pathway. Molecular dynamics simulations corroborate experimental observations detecting a stable central helical turn, which represents the most probable site for the helix nucleation in the folding direction. The data presented herein allows us to draw a folding–unfolding picture for the small peptide QKL10A compatible with the nucleation–propagation model. This study, besides contributing to the basic field of peptide helix folding, is useful to gain an insight into the design of stable helical peptides, which could find applications as molecular scaffolds to target protein–protein interactions.  相似文献

Excimer laser-induced crosslinking of ethylene-propylene-diene elastomer using a trace amount of photoinitiator, 1-hydroxy cyclohexyl phenyl ketone, was evaluated. Gel content measurements on irradiated samples showed that crosslinking was a natural consequence in all, which had undergone exposure to laser radiation. Degree of crosslinking was found to be linear with the laser exposure energy and was found to reach a saturation value of approximately 80% at about 100 J. However, for thicker samples the dependence of gel content i.e. crosslinking was found to be exponential over the range of laser exposure energy in excess of 200 J. As is expected, the tensile strength increased significantly with the increase of crosslinking. The band at 808 cm−1 in the infrared spectra was attributed to the 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene (ENB) content in the polymer. The ENB has a double bond which is considered to be consumed with a high radiochemical yield and thereby contributes to the increase in rate of the formation of intermolecular bridge density.  相似文献

An efficient synthetic method for the preparation of (E)- and (Z)-3(5)-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-4-styrylpyrazoles has been developed. The reaction of (E)- and (Z)-3-styrylchromones with hydrazine hydrate afforded the corresponding (E)- and (Z)-4-styrylpyrazoles, respectively, saved 4′-nitro-derivatives where both (E)- and (Z)-4′-nitro-3-styrylchromones afforded (E)-3(5)-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-4-(4-nitrostyryl)pyrazoles. The reaction mechanism for these transformations was discussed and the stereochemistry of all products was assigned by NMR experiments.  相似文献

We studied the electronic and conductance properties of two thiophene–curcuminoid molecules, 2‐thphCCM ( 1 ) and 3‐thphCCM ( 2 ), in which the only structural difference is the position of the sulfur atoms in the thiophene terminal groups. We used electrochemical techniques as well as UV/Vis absorption studies to obtain the values of the HOMO–LUMO band gap energies, showing that molecule 1 has lower values than 2 . Theoretical calculations show the same trend. Self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) of these molecules were studied by using electrochemistry, showing that the interaction with gold reduces drastically the HOMO–LUMO gap in both molecules to almost the same value. Single‐molecule conductance measurements show that molecule 2 has two different conductance values, whereas molecule 1 exhibits only one. Based on theoretical calculations, we conclude that the lowest conductance value, similar in both molecules, corresponds to a van der Waals interaction between the thiophene ring and the electrodes. The one order of magnitude higher conductance value for molecule 2 corresponds to a coordinate (dative covalent) interaction between the sulfur atoms and the gold electrodes.  相似文献

In the present study, a new fluorescence microplate screening assay for evaluating scavenging activity against singlet oxygen (1O2) was implemented. The chemical generation of 1O2 was promoted using the thermodissociable endoperoxide of disodium 3,3′-(1,4-naphthalene)bispropionate (NDPO2). The detection of 1O2 was achieved using dihydrorhodamine 123 (DHR), a nonfluorescent molecule that is oxidizable to the fluorescent form rhodamine 123 (RH). The combined use of a 1O2-selective generator and a highly sensitive probe (DHR) was then successfully applied to perform a screening assay of the 1O2 scavenging activities of ascorbic acid, penicillamine, cysteine, N-acetylcysteine (NAC), methionine, reduced glutathione (GSH), dihydrolipoic acid, lipoic acid, and sodium azide. All of these antioxidants exhibited concentration-dependent 1O2 scavenging capacities. They could be ranked according to observed activity: ascorbic acid> cysteine> penicillamine> dihydrolipoic acid > GSH> NAC> sodium azide> lipoic acid (IC50 values of 3.0 ± 0.2, 8.0 ± 0.7, 10.9 ± 0.8, 25.2 ± 4.5, 57.4 ± 5.9, 138 ± 13, 1124 ± 128, 2775 ± 359 μM, mean±SEM, respectively) > methionine (35% of scavenging effect at 10 mM). In conclusion, the use of NDPO2 as a selective generator for 1O2 and its fluorescence detection by the highly sensitive probe DHR is shown to be a reliable and resourceful analytical alternative means to implement a microplate screening assay for scavenging activity against 1O2.
