We consider pulse propagation through a Fabry-Perot cavity with silver mirrors that contain macroscopic samples of resonant absorbers. We show that the pulse velocity can be tuned from subluminal to superluminal in a strongly coupled atom-cavity system. We delineate the effects of the interplay of cavity and absorbers. We demonstrate the saturation effects of pulse advancement with increasing mirror thickness and atomic damping.  相似文献

In the framework of R-parity violating (R(p)) supersymmetry, we try to find a consistent explanation for both recently measured CP asymmetry in B0 --> phi K(S) decay and the large branching ratio of B+/- --> eta'K+/- decay, which are inconsistent with the standard model (SM) prediction. We also investigate other charmless hadronic B -- >PP and B --> VP decay modes whose experimental data favor the SM: for instance, recently measured CP asymmetries in B0 --> eta(')K(S) and B0 -- >J/Psi K(S). We find that all the observed data can be accommodated for certain values of R(p) couplings.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce the notion of operator semirings of a -semiring to study -semirings. It is shown that the lattices of all left (right) ideals (two-sided ideals) of a -semiring and its right (respectively left) operator semiring are isomorphic. We have measured the transverse asymmetry A(T') in 3He(e,e(')) quasielastic scattering in Hall A at Jefferson Laboratory with high precision for Q2 values from 0.1 to 0.6 (GeV/c)(2). The neutron magnetic form factor G(n)(M) was extracted based on Faddeev calculations for Q2 = 0.1 and 0.2 (GeV/c)(2) with an experimental uncertainty of less than 2%.  相似文献

An all-solid-state, side diode array pulse pumped Nd:YAG laser tunable for six wavelengths ranging from 1318.8 nm to 1356.0 nm is developed. The tunability is obtained by using a grating in Littrow mode that also serves as an output coupler. The configuration ensures a line width as low as 0.04 nm. Thermal effects limit the maximum average power to 250 mW for an average absorbed pump power of 8.0 W in the free-running condition. An acousto-optic Q-switching of the laser provides pulses of width 251 ns with peak power of 733 W for an average pump power of 11.5 W. The laser may find application in microsurgery and dermatology. The synthesis, characterization and thermal behavior of new monomeric allylpalladium (II) complexes with dichalcogenoamidodiphosphinate anions are reported. The complexes [R = H, R′ = Pri, E = S (1a); R = H, R′ = Pri, E = Se (1b); R = H, R′ = Ph, E = S (1c); R = H, R′ = Ph, E = Se (1d); R = Me, R′ = Pri, E = S (2a); R = Me, R′ = Pri, E = Se (2b); R = Me, R′ = Ph, E = S (2c); R = Me, R′ = Ph, E = Se (2d)] have been prepared by room temperature reaction of [Pd(η3-CH2C(R)CH2)(acac)] (acac = acetylacetonate) with dichalcogenoimidodiphosphinic acids in acetonitrile solution. The complexes have been characterized by multinuclear NMR (1H, 13C{1H}, 31P{1H}, 77Se{1H}), FT-IR and elemental analyses. The crystal structures of complexes 1a, 1d and 2d have been reported and they consist of a six-membered PdE2P2N ring (E = S for 1a and Se for 1d and 2d) and an allyl group, C3H4R(R = H for 1a and 1d and Me for 2d). Thermogravimetric studies have been carried out for few representative complexes. The complexes thermally decompose in argon atmosphere to leave a residue of palladium chalcogenides, which have been characterized by PXRD, SEM and EDS.  相似文献

Electrical transport properties of a series of NaBF4 salt-doped PVC–polyethylene oxide blend polymer electrolytes are studied using impedance spectroscopy. X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry are implemented to characterize the structural properties of the electrolytes. The characterization data clearly indicate that the interaction between the dopant salt and the polymer host substantially influences the overall crystallinity of the electrolytes. Experimental frequency-dependent complex conductivity and loss tangent data are analyzed using a physical model to extract separately the mobile ion concentration and ion mobility of the charge carriers and the type of their thermal activation. The average hopping length of free ions, which essentially controls the macroscopic ion transport within the electrolytes, is found to be strongly correlated to the network structure of the electrolytes. Both the dc conductivity and free ion mobility are observed to be strongly coupled with the segmental dynamics of blend polymer host over the entire range of ion content studied.  相似文献

A generic modular synthetic strategy for the fabrication of a series of binary‐ternary group II‐VI and group I‐III‐VI coupled semiconductor nano‐heterostructures is reported. Using Ag2Se nanocrystals first as a catalyst and then as sacrificial seeds, four dual semiconductor heterostructures were designed with similar shapes: CdSe‐AgInSe2, CdSe‐AgGaSe2, ZnSe‐AgInSe2, and ZnSe‐AgGaSe2. Among these, dispersive type‐II heterostructures are further explored for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution from water and these are observed to be superior catalysts than the binary or ternary semi‐conductors. Details of the chemistry of this modular synthesis have been studied and the photophysical processes involved in catalysis are investigated.  相似文献
