High‐regioregular poly{3‐[6‐(1‐methylimidazolium‐3‐yl)hexyl]thiophene‐2,5‐diyl bromide}, PMHT‐Br, has been prepared by reaction of high‐regioregular (above 92%) poly[3‐(6‐bromohexyl)thiophene‐2,5‐diyl] with 1‐methylimidazole. PMHT‐Br is soluble in water and water miscible solvents such as methanol, DMSO and shows solvatochromism; λmax (nm): 423 (H2O); 435 (MeOH); 452 (DMSO). Increased absorption band broadening observed for aqueous solution as well as NMR spectra in D2O suggests a micelle‐like structure of PMHT‐Br molecules in these solutions: poly(3‐hexylthiophene) core and 1‐methylimidazolium bromide shell. Despite the disturbing effect of ionic groups, the solid‐state PMHT‐Br shows absorption maximum at 520 nm, the band edge at 660 nm (ca. 1.9 eV), and fluorescence emission with maximum at 635 nm, in a good agreement with the polymer regioregularity. Fluorescence emission maxima: λem (nm): 598 (H2O); 562 (MeOH); 574 (DMSO), occur in a vicinity of corresponding adsorption band edges. Plot of electrical conductivity of PMHT‐Br (measured under the dynamic vacuum conditions, 5 × 10?5 Pa) versus 1/T shows a break at about 70 °C same as the temperature dependence of λmax of the solid PMHT‐Br. These breaks indicate an increase in the mobility of polymer segments and ions within PMHT‐Br; however, a thermal analysis did not provide solid evidence for it. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Electron paramagnetic resonance and electron nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) experiments on ZnO nanoparticles reveal the presence of shallow donors related to interstitial Li and Na atoms. The shallow character of the wave function is evidenced by the multitude of 67Zn ENDOR lines and further by the hyperfine interactions with the 7Li and 23Na nuclei that are much smaller than for atomic lithium and sodium. In the case of the Li-doped nanoparticles, an increase of the hyperfine interaction with the 7Li nucleus and with the 1H nuclei in the Zn(OH)(2) capping layer is observed when reducing the size of the nanoparticles. This effect is caused by the confinement of the shallow-donor 1s-type wave function that has a Bohr radius of about 1.5 nm, i.e., comparable to the dimension of the nanoparticles.  相似文献

Fast chiral separations of a variety of basic and acidic compounds could be realized on microfluidic quartz chips. A microchip electrophoresis instrument equipped with a linear imaging UV-detector was used. The usually applied but troublesome fluorescence tagging in order to enable fluorescence detection could be omitted. Using sulfated cyclodextrins as chiral selectors baseline separation of 19 compounds could be achieved in less than 1 min with high reproducibility. The relative standard deviation of migration time was below 7%. The fastest separation could be performed in 2.5 s which is to date the fastest separation of enantiomers reported. It was possible to apply microchip electrophoresis (MCE) for the determination of high enantiomeric excess (ee) values, as exemplarily shown for pseudoephedrin where 2% of the minor enantiomer could reliably be determined beside high amount of the other isomer. Successful separation of a mixture of 3 chiral drugs could be performed in a single run in less than 11 s utilizing a separation length of only 12 mm. These results show that MCE has great potential for fast chiral analysis and high-throughput screening.  相似文献

During the last decade, striking improvements could be achieved for the precise control of deposition processes in optical coating technology. For example, as a consequence of enormous progresses in measure- ment and computer technology, direct optical monitoring in a broad spectral range can be considered as a common tool in many production environments nowadays. Besides the development of the corresponding hardware and measurement channels, advanced approaches for the evaluation of the acquired data and new multiple sensor monitoring strategies moved into the focus of modern research on the way towards de- terministic deposition techniques. In this context, also innovative concepts for the simulation of deposition processes to forecast the result for a specified coating design and automatic online correction algorithms gained of importance to reduce the risk of failure in coating production. The present contribution will be dedicated to selected aspects in this field, especially addressing broad band optical monitoring systems. A short review on examples for existing hardware configurations and software tools will be presented illus- trating the advantages of modern process control techniques. Novel approaches based on the modeling of thin film growth are discussed as an additional strategy to improve the predictability of coating processes.  相似文献

A microchip-based assay to monitor the conversion of peptide substrates by human recombinant sirtuin 1 (hSIRT1) is presented. For this purpose a fused silica microchip consisting of a microfluidic separation structure with an integrated serpentine micromixer has been used. As substrate for the assay, we used a 9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl (Fmoc)-labeled tetrapeptide derived from the amino acid sequence of p53, a known substrate of hSIRT1. The Fmoc group at the N-terminus resulting from solid-phase peptide synthesis enabled deep UV laser-induced fluorescence detection with excitation at 266 nm. The enzymatic reaction of 0.1 U/μL hSIRT1 was carried out within the serpentine micromixer using a 400 μM solution of the peptide in buffer. In order to reduce protein adsorption, the reaction channel was dynamically coated with hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose. The substrate and the deacetylated product were separated by microchip electrophoresis on the same chip. The approach was successfully utilized to screen various SIRT inhibitors.  相似文献

Shape optimization methods, as commonly applied in aerodynamic design applications, have recently been adapted for use in nuclear fusion divertor target design. The resulting algorithms are very efficient compared to the standard use of numerical edge plasma simulations as analysis tools only. In this paper, we highlight some numerical aspects of the underlying algorithm, focusing on a correct, nine-point discretization of the fluxes and the need for an adjoint pressure correction equation.
