A reinvestigation of o-phenylenemercurials : IV. Adducts of perfluorotribenzo[b,e,b][1,4,7]trimercuronin and the crystal and molecular structure of its 1 : 1 4-phenylpyridine solvate

Perfluorotribenzo[b,e,h][1,4,7]trimercuronin forms adducts of 1 : 1, 1 : 2 and 1 : 3 stoicheiometry with a variety of polar organic molecules. The structure of the 1 : 1 adduct with 4-phenylpyridine was solved by X-ray methods to an R factor of 7.4% for 3528 observed reflections.     

Circular waveguide with azimuthally magnetized. Gyrotropic medium

An equation has been derived for determining propagation constants in a circular waveguide with azimuthally magnetized bigyrotropic filling. A computer was used to study the dispersion properties, electromagnetic field structure, and distribution of the components of the Poynting vector over the waveguide cross section in the case of a ferrite filling described by a permeability tensor with unequal diagonal components.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 6, pp. 10–15, June, 1978.     

Multilayer gyrotropic waveguide structures with azimuthal magnetization

An algorithm to obtain the dispersion equation and to determine the field configuration in the case of an arbitrary number of layers is developed by the successive joining of tangential components of the eigenwave electromagnetic field of a regular waveguide with concentric azimuthally magnetized gyrotropic layers. The electrical and magnetic field components in each layer are represented in the form of a linear combination of four particular analytic solutions of the system of generalized wave equations. By using an electronic computer the phase and dissipation characteristics of circular and coaxial waveguides with azimuthally magnetized ferrite-dielectric layers are computed for variations in their material and geometric parameters.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 4, pp. 24–28, April, 1981.

We propose a method for constructing the wavefunctions of excited states of the discrete spectrum for an N-dimensional Schrödinger equation in which the structure of a potential is determined by systems of roots of the Lie algebras.
