Potentiometric cells with oxygen-conducting solid electrolyte based on ceria

The present work presents studies of potentiometric cells with electrolyte of 0.98Ce_0.8(Sm_0.75Sr_0.2Ba_0.05)_0.2O_1.875 + 0.02TiO₂ and electrodes of silver or various materials with a perovskite structure. The oxygen activity limit is determined, above which electrolyte features preferred oxygen conductivity. Electrode materials are suggested that feature an equilibrium potential in the gas mixtures with the oxygen content from 1 to 21% and their lower temperature applicability limit is determined. The rate of potential response of the electrodes to a fast change in the oxygen partial pressure over the electrodes is determined. The results of studies are of interest for development of electrochemical devices with electrolyte based on ceria operating at 500–750°C.     

Novel approaches to the quantification of heavy metals on mercury-graphite electrodes in deep ocean waters

A procedure for the voltammetric determination of trace Zn(II), Pb(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), and Mn(II) in deep ocean water samples using a mercury-graphite electrode (MGE) is proposed. The generation of the MGE directly in the test solution ensures the autonomous performance of sequential stripping voltammetric analysis of samples in the field and substantially reduces the amount of the used distilled water.

The influence of the degree of carboxylation on the pore structure of polymeric monolithic media

Mercury porosimetry and dynamic desorption of vapors were used to study series of modified monolithic sorbents with various contents of ionogenic (carboxyl) groups. It was shown that polymeric matrix pore characteristics did not change substantially during carboxylation.     

有机季鏻盐插层改性黏土诱发聚丙烯γ晶

选用有机季鏻盐作为插层剂对黏土进行有机化插层改性,制备出有机黏土,通过熔融插层法制备聚丙烯/有机黏土纳米复合材料.XRD表明有机季鏻盐改性的黏土与聚丙烯形成结构为剥离型与插层型并存的纳米复合材料.利用DSC研究了纳米复合材料的熔融过程,结果显示有机黏土对聚丙烯的结晶度影响不明显.XRD和DSC的研究均表明,有机黏土可以诱发聚丙烯产生不常见的γ晶型.当黏土含量为5 wt%时,γ晶型占整个结晶部分的12%左右.

Preparation of powder cellulose

Powder cellulose was obtained according to the scheme of hydrolysis-bleaching from the wood technical (unbleached) sulfate cellulose. In the first step, from the crude cellulose lignocellulose material was obtained, which in the second step was subjected to delignification by treating with hydrogen peroxide and chlorine dioxide.     

一种快速凝固AB2型储氢合金的球磨改性

通过熔纺（melt-spinning）法制备了Zr0.9Ti0.1（Ni0.57V0.1Mn0.28C0.05）2.1合金，并与C03Mo混合球磨以改善其动力学性能结果发现，经过球磨，储红合金与作为催化剂的Co3Mo接触更加紧密，电化学容量和活化性能得到明显改善交流阻抗测试表明，球磨大大改善了合金的表面活性．但长时间的球磨可使合金进一步非晶化，导致容量及活性的下降．实验结果还表明，将快速凝固合金与具有电催化作用的Co3Mo球磨得到的电极材料，其活性要高于合金与只作为导体的铜粉进行球磨或在无添加剂条件下进行球磨得到的电极材料．     

Synthesis of novel low-viscosity liquid epoxidized aromatic hyperbranched polymers

Low-viscosity liquid epoxidized aromatic hyperbranched polymers are synthesized by the reaction between epichlorohydrin (ECH) and carboxy-end hyperbranched polymers prepared from low-cost products trimellitic anhydride (B₃ TMA) and dihydroxy alcohols (A₂). The low-viscosity property, especially the lowest viscosity of epoxidized aromatic hyperbranched polymers is only 350 cp which has not reported among epoxidized aromatic hyperbranched polymers before, make them can be used to coatings and adhesion fields without organic solvent hopefully. The properties of the epoxidized aromatic hyperbranched polymers are measured by GPC, FT-IR and viscometer.
